The Myrtles Plantation

Wow that is a very interesting read. I was wondering if all these facts (the supposed 10 murders or so) were actually documented.
I think the truth to the deaths is more interesting than the fictionalized versions.

Did you catch the part about "the mirror" being bought in New Orleans in the 70's? :lmao:

Yea, I read that. That crazy tour guide said the only thing original on the mirror was the frame. I wonder if that was a lie. ARGH. Now wonder I didn't see or feel anything there!

I think the house really is haunted. There certainly have been enough traumatic deaths in that house to cause spirits to linger. I do keep in mind that I haven't checked out the death records to prove if the deaths were murder or yellow fever, but they probably were yellow fever because epidemics did happen during that period. :teacher:

I don't believe the Chloe stories. I do believe a ghost who wears a green head covering is haunting the property. When you look at the picture that the owner "caught" Chloe in, the transparent figure in the breezeway does look like an older lady (stooped posture) than a young woman. I don't think anyone truly knows who "Chloe" is so an interesting story full of murder, romance, and intrigue was created.

The Myrtles is creepy and I've visited quite a few times in the past. My pics are all packed away right now, but I've got lots of pics with orbs from there. Is it truly haunted or not? :confused3 I think it is, but I think the stories of deaths are elaborated.

Here are some interesting articles questioning the accuracy of the stories told on The Myrtles weekend Mystery Tour.

You are welcome! :goodvibes I thought they were interesting.

In case anyone is wondering what picture we are talking about I'll post it. Look at the transparent figure between the two buildings.
