I know what you mean.....people rent the SAME beach cottage EVERY summer and no one says a word-you go to Disney more than once and everyone comments. I don't get it!

The other thing people always seem to comment on is how expensive Disney is. Well, really if you know what you are doing it isn't anymore than a beach vacation. I've priced out different types of vacations and you get a lot for your money in Disney. Heck we are going to DC for 3 nights this fall and it's practically the same as if we were going to WDW.

Excited for the live report-always nice for us sitting at home during a rainy summer to live through those who are where we'd rather be!!! Can't wait for your trip!





You are totally correct about other people vacationing at other places other than Disney, but pretty much the same places year after year and nothing is said. But I will say, in our area, many people will do a beach type vacation in Florida for much less than we do Disney. We live about oh, 400 miles from the northern Florida beaches, so its not that far to head to the beaches.

Disney can be expensive. And people know this. And if you have the money to go down there every other year, as we have had for the past 6-7 years, people tend to get jealous. I can only imagine if we got to go every year, multiple times per year, what they would say! Its all about the cost for people, in my area. It is jealousy plain and simple. I have experienced with women many times.

This has plagued me for the last month!!!!!!!!! Luckily he's old enough to understand that was a very special situation and not something we ordered ourselves. I'm sure he will be OK but part of me wonders if he's hoping for something major to happen. I have dropped hints the last few weeks asking him if it would be cool to have the room decorated and he's always said he doesn't need anything special. ((this boy is the sweetest, kindest, most loving child on the planet by the way)) Now if the tables were turned and it was our younger son's birthday next week I would definitely have to shell the money out because he would take inventory that every present was identical and equal!

My oldest turns 16 on August 1st . Even though we won't be to WDW until the 13th, we're celebrating his big day at O'Hana (his choice - he's a carnivore )

Love your trip reports. We get the Disney thing. I told my 6 year old The Murphys are going to Disney and he says "what they just went." Don't take offense, we are just jealous, hes 6 and has been 6 times, 7th trip has to wail til Feb. Have a safe trip, cant wait to follow along.

Can't wait to follow along with your trip Murphys. I see you have stayed at like every resort. We could use some advice about which moderate is your favorite. We have always stayed at deluxe(poly our favorite). But we are taking my parents with next trip, and with 2 rooms, wanted to cut cost. How do the moderates stack up to deluxe in your opinion? Will it be worth the savings?
