Oooh this new welcome drink sounds great! And my kids would love the punch in the lounge. Hope the BC will offer those too! I'm following along with interest -- thanks for posting. We have not tried AKL CL yet and it's on my radar....but my holdbacks are (1) the resort location (2) the rooms, and (3) as you said, CL rooms being somewhat blended in with regular rooms. We like a dedicated CL area/floor/building. In any event, back to your live trip -- enjoy!!

The punch has a sort of Hawaiian Punch flavor. Would taste great with a shot of coconut rum poured in.

Your points about AKL are right on. We probably wouldn't have booked it if we had another option. But with Poly being a mess, sugarloaf and inkeepers both being closed, we made the best of it.

They said they are getting a water dispenser system, like the one at the Poly, so you'll be able to self-serve water into cups. Also the Nescafe machine is finally going away. It will be replaced by a cappuccino/espresso machine.

We just went down for evening appetizers. The two hot apps are now in a large electric serving tray with a lid. The wine/beer cart is out in the hallway with a CM serving beer & wine. An interesting change for sure. There's no beer in the fridge.

Not happy to hear that the plastic water bottles are being phased out. Happy to hear about the new punch and strawberry champagne when checking in. Hopefully they'll serve it with some orange juice for us guest who check in very early. I like the new espresso machine. Don't like the wine serving cart at all. That's hideous! Come on! They're not serving expensive wine or expensive beer for goodness sake. The price for club keeps going up, as is everything, but it's getting to the point that I'm starting to question how much I really like Disney's idea of club level.

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh...........your check in and trip so far look wonderful! YC changes like the welcome drink and punch sound wonderful! Even the drink cart looks good! Will the CM pour a "to-go type paper cup" to go to the pool?
I know they don't allow glass by stormalong bay. If you can find out, please post! Thanks Erika!

Thank you for the cart photo. No self-serve adult beverages at all anymore? Not liking the wine/beer CL police concept. Would you be able to find out what prompted this, if it's just a "test" and are other CLs doing this? Enjoying living vicariously through you before our YC/CL arrival in 19 days.

From what I could tell dvc are all on floors 5 and 6

Sorry to hijack your TR Erika but just to clarify, if you book a CL DVC studio you will be on the 6th floor only and there's only a max of 5 available and that's only if no one books a 2 bedroom which would take up one of the 5. If you book a non-cl dvc studio you will be on the 5th floor. OK, carry on now....

It is only out from 5:00-7:00

I will ask tomorrow about afternoon beer and wine, also I will ask about to go cups.
