I'm going to Disney in a few days for 10 days then we're going to universal for 2 days. I wanted to get some peoples thoughts on The Mummy ride, like is it a really good ride and does it really scare you?

We loved it! Though I did think it was a little short but very cool. I wasnt scared but I dont really get "scared" on rides. Its definately worth one ride (then you will want to ride it again!).
Have fun on your trip.

It is a great ride. Even my Dh (the fraidy cat) loved it. We rode it about 15 times when we were down in May.

You'd probably get alot more answers over on the Universal boards but I'll tell you my opinion here. ;)

I LOVED it! It was so much fun! My DS(9) on the other hand, said that he NEVER wants to ride it again, too scary. However, this is the same child that went to HHN 3 times and led me through some of the haunted houses! Also sat down to have a chat with a scareactor! I don't get him at all sometimes but he is VERY amusing!

Is it scary? Kind of....there are some scary special effects and there is an element of surprise leading to confusion. I think its a great ride and would highly recommend that you check it out!

Have a great vacation!

thanks for your opionions!

Did you have to see movie to go on this ride? (I saw it but not everyone in my family did)

Yes, post on the Universal board. You will get a lot of replies.

I've never seen any of the Mummy movies. There really isn't a huge plot connection, just the overall theme. You can get your family up to snuff in about a minute.

We really enjoyed the Mummy. We even enjoyed standing in line for it. There was a really scarey CM there who would sneak up on people. :) It was fun.

Loved it, we got to ride it during soft opening when we were there in May. It does not turn upside or do loops or anything, just a regular type coaster but the affects are awesome..a NOT TO BE MISSED TYPE RIDE..one of it a kind!!!

Go and enjoy it....:sunny:
