The Mr & Mrs do disney Nov/Dec 09 - UPDATE : can the last one out turn the lights off

WOO HOO NEW CAMERA!!!:woohoo:

I think that is the perfect Disney gift, and of course you have to have it before you go!!! I always ask for bigger things for Birthday/Christmas, I just don't know what to ask for anymore, so it's easier to ask for 1 big thing rather that 10 little things.

No worries!! The trip is super close now and you'll have everything covered. And your Christmas shopping is done, that's a huge thing. I'm usually well on my way to being finished by now, but i figure the bulk will be done at Disney and then I can handle the stragglers after that. Also, I'm pretty good at going out one day and finishing whatever I need to finish.

Gosh, I am so far behind on commenting! I have read up though, promise. Your wedding photos are lovely! Thank you for sharing them. (And I usually skip over wedding pictures because they make me sad... and I want to get married soooooo badly, but that man of mine doesn't seem interested in proposing anytime soon! )

I'm 16 days out, and surprising relaxed. Just excited. I haven't started packing or doing laundry yet, which is weird for me. I think it's just because I've been so busy with work. I'll start the process on my day off next week. I have a few things left on my list to pick up before the trip, but otherwise I feel pretty confident that everything is going to come together just fine. Your trip will too!

Thankyou honey  I'm sure he will propose one day, he's just waiting until everything is perfect :goodvibes

Hmmm you are TOO calm!! How do you do it? Teach me oh wise one :worship: Everytime I open up my spreadsheet with lists and jobs on I just panic to the point where I nearly pass out  My heart is literally starting to skip beats now :lmao:

It all seems very daunting the days leading up to your trip. Just don't end up like me, panicking at 4 days out I haven't even had time to think about x-mas shopping. I've ordered a few things online and in the stores at the mall I work at but that's it. There's a few projects I'm working on for gifts as well for x-mas presents. I MUST focus on those when I get back ----- sorry! I'm babbling!

That's AWESOME about the new camera Sounds real fancy. Hope it takes good pictures in low lighting! That seems to be the worst about point-and-shoot cameras these days. Wait, is the one you got a point-and-shoot?

Wish I could meet up with you guys. Oh well. Just know I'll be thinking about ya!

I end up packing 2 days out so i'm even worse than you :rotfl2: I wanted to make sure that everything was sorted for xmas before we go on the trip so that im not stressing out when we get back, plus I need to spend time on here with you guys chatting and reading all our amazing trip reports :thumbsup2

Yeah its kinda a point and shoot, not an slr thingy - too technical for me  It hasnt arrived yet, but I will be photographing everything in sight when it does arrive and will post the photos on here so you guys can give me your opinions :thumbsup2

Wish you could be there are the meet ups too

YAY for the camera!

I am at 3 weeks today, at this time we will be running like crazy people from our terminal to ME! I know the feeling. There is so much to do, will there be enough time?!

I hope there is enough time, but I really feel like i'm running out of it

A new camera that just brill :goodvibes I bet you can't wait for that to arrive & start using it & take it on holiday to take some amazing photo's

Thanks honey, I cant wait for it to arrive :woohoo:

Yay for the camera!!!! I hope you can capture many happy memories with it!!! I am a picture freak!!! Be prepared when we meet up!!!!! I will be forcing a photo with you!!!! LOL Nic and Jen and I already even have a pose planned!!! LOL Actually, if Nic is going to be there when we meet up in Epcot, I have another idea for the three of us!! I know...I should be doing something much more constructive with my time!!

 sounds fun! Being constructive is boring, I like the fun you - the other you just gets stressed out like me & I am SO not fun when i'm like that :lmao: just ask the husband :rotfl2:

I'm so excited about the camera, can't wait to start snapping pix with it, gonna take lots of our pooch when it first arrives and some night shots too :cloud9:

I really hope I get everything done, there just seems so much - I guess they are all easy/small things but there are just so many of them

Just a little update!

This time next week I will have finished work ready for the holiday :woohoo: I can't wait to have 2 weeks away from that place :yay: :yay: I've booked a couple of extra days before and after the trip so that I can do any last minute jobs etc.. :hippie:

I finally found a pair of kermit socks for Den   Paid for them last night so they should arrive just in time for me to put them in his gift bag and give it him next week!! And I also found him a t-shirt too!! It's got a picture of kermit and says 'Lean, green, love machine' :lmao: Can't wait for him to open the bag and see all the goodies :yay:

I couldnt leave my parents or the dog out, so they've got their own little gift bags too for whilst we are away :goodvibes

I've only got 5 working days left to go :dance3: can you tell I'm just a little bit excited about being away from the place :rotfl:

WOOHOO!!! :yay: I am so excited for you! This will be me this time next week I am sure!!!

How is it that everyone can find kermit stuff?!?! I want kermit socks!!!

I think it is the perfect gift and you are gonna have a ball learning how to use it. Since you can erase any bad shots its even more fun cause you can try out new things and not worry about wasting film. We are so close can you give me the details on the meet-ups so we have times and places I can put in my little book of everything I care around with me like an obsession. I can't believe I can do on-line checkin tommorrow OMG!!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

Right girlies! I need your help please! :hippie:

I've been looking at the orlando weather and the first couple of days of our trip seem ok with a bit of rain likely, so, I need to decide what clothes to take - this is my BIGGEST stress ever :headache: With me being a fluffy lady or heffalump, whichever you prefer  I'm very very picky about what I wear, when I get ready it takes me 5 outfits tried on before i'm kinda happy  Obviously I cant pack that much, so I need to decide what sort of thing to wear. What are you guys packing / wearing?? Let's have a big clothing debate, on your marks, get set - GO!!

Hey Jo!! I think first and foremost you need to bring things that you are comfortable wearing. And when I say comfort I mean more than just the aesthetics of the outfit, I mean does it make you feel good when you wear it or will you be pulling at your shirt all day because your self conscience (I am guilty of this one). I plan on bringing layers. I've decided to go with jeans and pants throughout the entire trip and I plan on bringing my most comfortable and worn in pants that I have. I will also have long sleeve t's to layer under my t-shirts and sweat shirts. I've thought a lot about this too, and I've decided to bring the things that I love the most because ultimately I feel good when I wear those things and I am comfortable.

No worries, just go through your clothes and pull out your favorites, I guarantee you that you will end up with your best outfits. :)

Just look at my packing list  I'm bringing jeans, yoga (I call them comfy) pants, and a couple long sleeve & sweatshirts as it's starting to getting a bit cooler at night. The weather is going to be one of those things where you freeze in the morning, get much hotter in the afternoon where you'll be peeling off layers, and then get colder again at night. I'm one to ALWAYS be cold so I'm preparing myself a bit more extensively with warmer clothes. It all depends on your body type. Unless it's over 20C, I'm cold! You might be different.

Since the colder temps will only be in the early morning and late afternoon/evening, I'm only bringing one or two warmer things as I'll just wear them multiple times. My sister actually bought a winter jacket the other day down there because she was FREEZING! I asked her how cold it was and she said it was around 15C :rotfl2: She should come back home and see how she handles our current 2C temps!!! :lmao: Keep in mind she's been living there for quite some time now and her body has climatized to the hot temps. When it gets cold, she notices it a lot more.

Oops! Got to run to work!!! LAST DAY BEFORE MY TRIP! :hyper:

I agree...bring comfortable clothes!!! I am bringing capris in case (fingers crossed) it is warm enough, but also jeans. I (like Nic) am bringing long sleeves to wear under my t's. That is how I am at home, so no different. Also, a comfy hoodie for me!!! The yoga pants...never really thought about that. Maybe not a bad idea??!! I never really wear them out of the house, but they are soooo comfy it may be a blessing to have in WDW! I may bring them also! If I don'y wear them to a park, I love wearing them to bed!!

Definitely jeans, a couple of pairs of capris, I'm going through a warm time in my life right now so I really don't need alot of warm clothes but I am bringing a new jacket i bought and 2 long sleeved shirts just in case. I also have a new pair of tinkerbell pink sweatpant too cute don't know if I'll have the guts to wear them outside the room tho. Sweetie the best bet is wear the favs you have now and add a tee under if needed . you will be more comfy if you don't try to change you wardrobe just for the trip. If it looks and feels good now it will look and feel good there.
OMG I just did online checkin it was super easy and I can't believe we are this close.:banana::banana: That deserved a banana dance.

I too am all about comfort and plan to pack for layering! We will have our winter jackets with us as we will be leaving very early on what is sure to be a crisp New England morning!

Now, my two favorite pair of comfy broken in jeans have slightly, to quite very, tattered bottom/backs of the feet. I don't want to come off as "dirty" or "unkept" but these are comfy! Bring em? Need your guys advice, sorry to hijack Jo!

Thankfully, the weather in central Florida usually isn't that much different than the weather here in coastal South Carolina. I'm just bringing what I am currently wearing around town... jeans and short-sleeved tops, with either a light shawl or a pashmina scarf and demin jacket in the mornings/night time. :goodvibes

I would say a few threads are okay, a lot of threads not so okay. It's boarder line, so it's sort of hard to tell. I think a good rule of thumb is, if you're not embarrassed to be seen outside your house in them then I would say it's safe. However, if there is a question as to whether or not they are okay, I would say to stay safe leave them behind.

I"m not going for as long as you but based on last year and the fact that I could over pack bc I lived in FL and didn't have to weigh a bag at the airport..

I packed
-A pair of shorts and Tshirt for every full day (not arrival or departure days)
-3 Pairs of Capri pants with a Tshirt for every park day
-3 Sets of those velore (sp?) outfits from Old Navy
-Sweat Pants and a Hoodie--I'll be wearing that on the plane down to FL this time so it doesn't weigh my bag down
-2 dresses for nice meals.

We found that we were able to wear the shorts or capris during the day and needed long pants/long shirt at night.

Based on the weather here, my mom and I decided that 60-65 degrees you could wear capris and tshirt
65+ shorts and tshirt
60 and below long pants and shirt

hope that helps!

I tend to walk the backs of my jeans off too but if they are comfy you won't be the only one with tatters, they sell them that way at 70 bucks a pair so you are ahead of the game. I'm 6" tall and like my jeans long so i will be joining you.

They're not that bad... I guess I over-exaggerated!

I'm 5'9" and have the same problem. The opening has to come to the bottom of my sneaker. Tough life us ladies live!

Thank you both. I am bringing both of my "tattered" pairs of jeans.

Hiya everyone, thankyou so much for all the tips :grouphug: I've decided to take some jeans and some capri pants and 1 pair of smart trousers incase we get the urge to 'dress up' at bit for a meal or something :thumbsup2 I'm then gonna pack short sleeved tops and have bought a couple of lovely fleece hoodies to keep me snuggly warm if needed :) I was thinking of taking a scarf and gloves too just incase - what do you think? Should I definately leave the flip flops and strappy tops at home then? :confused3

6 more days!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not in weeks anymore, just days!!!!

My camera came and it is brilliant!! I'll post some photos on here tonight!! The night photos are still wobbly, because, well, i'm wobbly  so i've bought a gorillapod and will set the camera up on that when taking firework photos etc... :goodvibes Am going to practice more over the next too :hippie:

6 DAYS!!! I bet you are SO excited!! :cool1: I am so happy for you. And a bit jealous that your whole trip is ahead of you and mine is over! But that's okay, I am already planning next year's trip. In my head anyway! :rotfl:
