I was flipping channels today and came across Sesame Street. (come on now, surely I'm not the only closet Sesame Street watcher! lol) Anyway, I was just thinking how being a performer on that show has got to be one of the most fun jobs ever! I mean, just look how many of the adults on the show have been there since the 70s and 80s! Imagine getting paid to be silly and interact with Muppets. hehehe. I read somewhere that the actress who plays Maria was asked if she ever wanted to move on, and she said she didn't want to! She loves her job.

Maria's real name is Sonia Manzano. Lately she's also been appearing in that "Momolouges" play Off-Broadway.

AFAIK, Susan(Loretta Long) and Bob(Bob McGrath) are the only ones from the original cast still there. It's hard to believe Sesame Street has been on 33 years now, huh?
