The Most Expensive Free Trip Ever - TR Link is Up! Pg. 164

That's a pretty street Rebecca. I see it's trash day. Here too. (I took it out -- I hope it gets picked up.)

Don't you love it when the jump the gun on cancelling school? :confused3

I guess the storm you are expecting through Tuesday morning is what will hit us Tuesday night, but apparently it's supposed to add some moisture from the south or something to give us another large snowfall.

I love baked brie with cranberry sauce! :cloud9:

I would never have thought to put cranberries on brie! I've been searching for Brie for over a week. Last time we bought it, it was widely available, now I guess they've put a moratorium on bringing it in. They must gotten word that some American had a hankering for roasted garlic and brie on dark rye?? :confused3 Who knows... but when I find it, I'll definitely heat up the last can of cranberry I have, and smother that stinky cheese with it, and eat it until I nearly burst with enjoyment!

Btw, the name of the restaurant you ate at translates into The Pious Helen. It is the title of a story by Wilhelm Busch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_Busch) who is most famous for the "Max and Moritz" tales.

I was thinking I had read that she was a cartoon character (Helene), and I was imagining a newspaper cartoon, but I guess Busch's book book was a comic book, so basically the same, just a different media.

Your dinner sounds great and the Schnitzel looks like the real deal! I love baked brie with cranberry sauce! :cloud9:

The schnitzel was the real deal! And good! Don't forget the roasted garlic with that brie and cranberry sauce. We've made it several times at home since then. It is good. We've served it to guests and they think we're all fancy schmancy. (That might be hard to translate for you, sorry. No need to translate "schmancy", it's just a made-up word to rhyme with fancy.)

Mmmmmm. :rotfl2:

Don't let him fool you. "Schmancy" means an African bird prevalent in the Botswana region. He is brightly colored with a striking crown of head feathers, and survives by eating 3 legged grasshoppers.

When I was a kid, it seemed like you had to have at least 6 inches, or they wouldn't call it. Now, they call school at a drop of a hat - just based on the forecast, I guess. The silly part of this one, is we were only forecast to get 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches today, the 4-8 inches isn't supposed to come down until this evening. So, knowing we will be very likely to have a snow day tomorrow, they should have tried to get us there today. I guess I'm just irritated because I had sub jobs scheduled for today and tomorrow - and they were my only jobs this week.

Brie with cranberry - yum! I think its time for a snack.

Sorry to read the weather is inconveniencing you but very happy to see those beautiful pictures.

Oh I wish we could have a portion of all that beautiful snow.

Right now here in my city we have a very suspicious warm weather. The cold weather has been announced since past week but hasn't arrived yet. When this happens it's always bad news, the days get warmer and warmer until reaching summer like temperatures and then WHAM! A freezing day... not very good for anyone's health :scared:

I guess we took one for the team this time. We'll let you folks have it next time.

I know, you'd think they'd try to get them in while they can. Judy is subbing too. Last week she got called for a 3-week gig. :)

Here's wishing you some cooler days. And you're welcome to as much of this snow as you want.

you better not have just cursed us to get the full 12 inches they are calling for mister.

Looks like snow is imminent for us this week too. :headache: Aw, well. At least I can finally put those handy dandy snow tires to good use. I was beginning to think I switched them for nothing!

Glad you'll get some use of out them.

Now they're saying we may get another foot and a half to two feet. :faint:

Today's the day for another dump- has it started yet???

Not until this evening. If I get home in time, I might do another "before" picture, although it still looks pretty similar to the last one you saw, but we have had some melting and settling.

It has begun! Snow is falling in south central PA! I don't think were supposed to get as much as you, Glenn. We're expecting more in the 10-15" range. That's still a bloody lot of snow IMHO! The kids are supposed to have early dismissal on Thursday and they are off Friday-Tuesday. Tuesday is a snow make-up day. My guess is that school will be shut for snow tomorrow and then would normally be a 2 hour delay on Thursday, but because they're ready planning to close 2 hours early, they'll probably be closed Thursday too. So I'm guessing the kids will be home from tomorrow through Monday. I wish we were going to WDW!

I hope you get safely through the snow!!

And regarding schmancy: I know that from the Muppet 3 D preshow - when the rat dressed as Mickey appears!! :goodvibes

It started here about 6:30 pm. I'm predicting that school will be cancelled tomorrow and Thursday.

I hope you get safely through the snow!!

I had forgotten about that rat!

Pretty sure I slept through that whole movie!! :confused3 I was never a huge Muppets fan, so it was a nice place to take a little snooze!
