It reminds me of car shopping, which I hate too.

They lost almost a full day of their trip in a sales talk just for a free breakfast.
Well, as a parent, I can tell you that we know it all.

I don't remember if I wrote about it in my Vienna flashback TR, but your story reminds me of when Judy and I went through the Nashmarkt in Vienna. There were all these vendors with free samples that they would try to give you, particularly olives for some reason. And then I'd feel guilty that I didn't buy anything. I told myself to stop taking any so I wouldn't feel bad about not buying.
I just looked, I did write about that. Sorry to repeat a story. I must be getting old.

That story is why I run in the other direction from timeshare sales pitches....I've never seen one that offered enough incentive.![]()
There's no such thing as a free lunch!
I like the gimme my money....
They don't even bother with me...if they got a look at my credit rating they'd turn and run....and I would say "sucka"
Well, I wasn't going to leave without my money!

I suppose my credit rating was okay at the time, but I easily knew how much money I had to work with for a purchase like that. It was a nice round figure.
Well I'm all caught up again. The flatulence laced banter had me cracking up. As to time shares, well, Papa would have been proud of your diligence.
I'm not sure if I dazzled them with numbers like your Papa used to do

Oh and Liesa, I CAN tell you that if you are on the bus and call a fellow DIS'er and hold up the phone so they can hear the music taunting them in the far away state of Texas, (Hi Jordan) the sound quality is surprisingly good. If you do go that route, I'll volunteer my services to try to sweeten up the audio a bit. We have a couple of programs I use at chruch for just that sort of thing. It's still not CD quality, but it can make a difference. Just email the files to me.
I have a feeling that offer will make her day.

I went to two time share things and that was enough. The second one they took you to the place so you couldn't even leave without what ever they were giving away. I told my DH that he can go to those things alone for now one and that ended up being the last one. The salesman could tell that DH was cracking but I wasn't budging so he was working hard.
Oh yeah, you've got to be together in your thinking when you're meeting with those guys. If they see one of you cracking, they'll go in for the kill. We discussed ahead of time that we were NOT buying a timeshare that day.
