I could barely hear it myself on high! I think it would be good for back up for the vibration.Sometimes the vibrate can make some noise(especially if it hits something in your purse or pocket),so it could be good.

i could hear it... hardly. it just sounded like a tiny buzzing. i even turned it up friggin loud & found it fine. if i heard that in class i would just think i was hearing things, going crazy or it was the computer.
