Back a while ago there was talk about a program for guest that was based on THE MORE YOU PAY, THE MORE YOU PLAY. It was based on the better the resort you were in, the more FAST PASSES you could get. Does anyone know what ever happened with that? Was it just a rumor?

Thanks,

I've always said I've been willing to pay extra for extra fastpasses. We stay at BC and I think that would be fabulous! At $330 a night it would be a great perk.

I've noticed since Pop opened that the crowds at EMH have really gone up which makes sense since the number of onsite guests have gone up also. Of course the downside of that is that it diminishes the value of the deluxe resort.

Please do not flame me on this, this is just my opinion, but I feel every opinion is just as worthy as anyone else's.

Anyway, I feel that this is a perfect place to use the old anology what would walt think? and I think he would disagree. You might pay $300 to my $78, but you also get much better pools, better restaurants within walking distance, bigger rooms, more service, and better transportation, that is what you are paying the extra money for. You are not paying it to get better treatment at the park.

Once a guest enters through those park gates they should all be treated equally and I personally have no problem dealing with limited fast passes, as its equal opportunity to everyone, I also have no problem with more people at Early/Late magic hours, remember it used to be only early magic hours and they extended it, to include the late hours too.

Another good point I thought of..

I could go off property and get a much better resort for my money as what I pay for Pop Century but why should I, if you treat Pop Century guests as you do guests that are off property? Same thing that applies for guests that stay at moderates.

All that would leave an on site guest with would be transportation (which is only buses which happen to be terrible), and package delivery, not worth it in my opinion.

I totally agree with you on that.

I would happily pay extra for another layer of ticket that would allow for an extra fast pass or two.

The high price of a deluxe in WDW is due to the fact it is IN WDW. Meaning if it were a stand alone hotel without the location, I'm not sure it would rank much above a Marriott that I can get for half the price. By having increased the number of onsite guests the value of being an onsite guest has gone down.

I don't see the problem with paying extra and getting extra benefits. :flower:

Everyone regardless of where they stay - onsite, offsite, deluxe, moderate, value - pays the same for admission into the parks and should all get the same perks once in the parks.

Giving only Deluxe Resort Guest fasspasses would be wrong.

i agree weather on or off shouldn't matter but i do say that they could allow people to buy an extra fastpass indifferent of where they stay then everyone ahs the option.

thats obsurd. everyone is paying equal to get into to the park and then there are different ranks of people? thats not good. what about the people who cant afford to stay at the deluxe resorts? not good! :confused3

Not to add fuel to the fire but they already differentiate on-site and off-site when it comes to levels of closure in busy times and in EMH.

As for the Fast pass, there are a lot of posts on this. Jim Hill Media even did a report. The rumors are steming from the fact that Disney filed some patten paperwork a while ago so if they wanted to do something like this they could.

WDW's slogan was "the more you play, the less you pay per day" as an introduction to the MYW tickets where the daily cost decreases as the number of theme park days increases. It didn't have anything to do with fastpasses. I guess some people her interpreted it in their own way??!! :confused3

I totally agree with Jennifer 100%

I pay Disney so that includes parks shopping movies or what ever else they offer.

I think Perks have always gone with what you pay .Pay more days get a discount .pay dining up front get a discount .So to this if I buy a day ticket at $63 and you get your at $23 (breakdown of 10day tickt ave.) Does that mean I should get more out of the park no not at all.

I think the fastpass system could be used the same way people will not like it but thats just another marketing tool to entice you to upgrade.People won't like this but remember before or for the people that don't know that stand-by was the only thing.

It's like the airlines pay for a better seat you get better service and a fastpass to the gate on arrival.

The bottom line is Disney as others are always looking for way to increase revenue with no cost to them (it cost nothing to give you a fastpass).Next they will have the stand-by ,single riders ,fastpass,PAP,DVC and VIP lines so none will be long just take long to go through.

And how would you decide how many fastpasses my AP would get as it is a seperate ticket from my resort ID and not tied to where I am staying.I don't always stay at the same level of hotel. would I have to have it magically updated when I check in. What about those who live in the area with AP's what would you say to them. "Sorry you live here come 2-3 times a month you get squat." That would go over. If something like this were to happen I would hope they think long and hard about it. or just leave it alone.

I heard they are putting the Koisk in the hotels them self so you would get all your fastpasses say that morning before leaving for the park .

Or they could just lower the ones given at the park and you would get a card that was stamped.

I hope not but they could go to a resort only and you would have to use your KTTW card.
