Ok ladies and gentlemen here is my first ever trip report!! The trip was February 26th to March 5th. The cast of characters was me, Stephanie, a full time sales consultant for AT&T. Then there is DH, Dave, he started his new job 2 days after we got back as a full time police officer. We asked my parents to come with us as well, so there is mom, who is a school secretary and Dad, who is a custodian at a school.

We left hartford bright and early at 7am Saturday morning February 26th, it was about 30 degrees that morning and I was proudly wearing my flip flops, nothing was going to stop me!!!

We landed around 10am and we were soooooo excited to finally be here after 8 months of planning!!! As we were exiting the plane, my dad broke the clip for his cellphone, he was not happy. So I was hoping that wasn't going to set the tone for our trip. We stopped at a store in the airport to see if they had anything, they didn't so he was just going to have to deal with his phone in his pocket.

We head downstairs to catch our Magical Express bus...I have never seen the lines so long down there! I have been 3 other times before, once off Disney in February 2005, on Disney in October/November 2006, and also on Disney in June of 2008 for our honeymoon. I was so surprised by the amount of people there.

Even with the crowds we got right on our bus and we were headed to Port Orleans Riverside!!!

I was so excited to stay there, when we booked our honeymoon, that's where I wanted to stay, but we booked with less than 30 days before our vacation so Carribean Beach was the only one that was available. This time with so much time before our trip we had all sorts of options. I had requested the mansions and while I know it's not guaranteed that your requests would be fullfilled, I was really anxious to see what part of the resort we'd be staying in.

Next thing you know we are pulling into

I couldn't wait to get off the bus and into the resort!!! I had done online check-in prior to arriving so we jumped in that line and got our packages and was told we did indeed have our rooms in the mansions with adjoining rooms and on the first floor which was great for my dad, he has bad knees.

So we head to rooms 8603 and 8604 they were way in the back, but there was a bus stop just behind us...score!!!! Here is our room!

And a little Disney was left for us!!

. Next up we are headed to EPCOT with dinner reservations at Le Cellier!!!!

So here we are finally in Disney!!! We head to the bus stop and wait for our bus. There was 2 gentlemen waiting there for the same bus, apparently they had been waiting for quite some time cause they were on the phone with the transportation people and then our bus finally arrived. They said they'd been waiting for over an hour !!!

We board the bus and I can barely stay seated!!! We arrive at EPCOT and head straight to the Electric Umbrella, it was already about 1 and we hadn't eaten since 6 am that morning. I think I grabbed a burger, but I honestly can't remember. I do remember that as we we sat down it was me and my mom, while the boys grabbed ketchup and such, that there were 2 other guys at the table next to us that joked that they were going to kick us out of the table cause they had a large party then they saw Dave and changed their mind! It was really funny at the time.

Next we head to Soarin'. It was I think a 50 minute wait. Well it was a slow moving 50 minutes and probably took more than an hour, but who cares, we are in Disney!! My mom was kinda crabbing about the wait and I thought to myself, no way am I listening to this all week, I mean we are in a theme park, there will be times we have to wait for a ride! When we got to the part where they send you down to either concourse A or B we got to talking to the castmember. She said on New Years Eve the wait was over 4 hours!!!! I like the ride but not enough to wait that long!

We did the other rides in the area...Living with the Land, Finding Nemo, and Turtle Talk with Crush. Then we headed over to Innovations. We took a look around and found The Sum of All Thrills! I was super excited for this when we found it. I had actually forgotten about it. Dave doesn't do roller coasters really so the rest of us got in line. It was only about a 15 minute wait. You go into a holding room for a briefing. Then you head to create your coaster. My mom and I did ours together and my dad did his own. It was really cool, I wanted to do more loops and stuff but mom got nervous and wanted to take it a little easier. Dad went on his coaster first, it was cool cause there is a cast member watching you to make sure you are ok while in the simulator, and we got to see him "ride" his coaster. Then we went, I loved it, you totally feel like you are on a real coaster.

Then we headed to

We hadn't been here since 2006!!! I made our reservations intentionally on the first night as I knew that it was going to a signature restaraunt as of March 1st. Let me just say that was by far the best meal of the week!!! We all had the filet. The bread was delicious, the soup was fabulous (as I was told as I don't like bacon so not my cup of tea). The service was a little slow. I had wanted to get to Magic Kingdom that night for the MSEP, but that just didn't happen. So after dinner we walked around and found a spot for Illuminations. Here are a few pictures:

Needless to say after the show we went straight back to the hotel to hit the sheets, it was a very long day!!!

yay, what a great first day!!!!

Your first post, the words go like waaay far to the right because of one of the pics being adjacent to another, I have to scroll off to the right back and forth to read it. I don't know why that is, but I hope it doesn't happen again. The most recent post was just fine.

I'm joining in, great pictures!!! Good thinking getting into Le Cellier before the switch.

Off to a great start. Love your enthusiasm. While in Disney, enjoy the moment and let everything else fade away.
