Right now and this weekend in Central Florida there are high winds, and expected through the weekend, at times to tropical wind speeds. Are there wind speed restrictions for the operation of the monorail? How about the ferries to the MK?? Am planning a visit to the Mk tomorrow and am kind of scared of the winds while riding the monorail.

I have never heard of the Monorail being closed due to high winds, that's not to say it couldn't happen, I have just never heard of it happening. They will shut down the smaller resort launch watercraft if it gets too bad, but I would not worry about it, it is windy here right now, but nothing major. From what I saw on the news, the Higher winds are more along the coast than they are inland should be windy, but I would not be to concerned about it. Things should be ok...

Only one time have I seen the monorail stopped for weather (other than a hurricane) and that was back in '03, mid-Aug and there was a tornado spotted several miles away. Otherwise, it just keeps on trucking along!

I have seen the small watercraft stop running in really bad & windy storms, but that's about it.
