Ok, so as I type this, 7:15am Sunday morning, I am 24 hours away from boarding my plane and heading Southbound. It’s been a hectic week, bustin’ my moneymaker at work to get ready to go away, pack - re-pack I should say – certain things, pay the bills, do the laundry, fake ‘n bake, and all those other little things associated with going away.

Of course, I did manage to find time at work to do important things…like finalize my vacation itinerary, laminate it and “ring it”…

I got all the important stuff in here…my handy-dandy Word calendar that I live and breathe by; ADR info, important phone numbers, the itineraries of my friends…I have now dubbed this little banquet of information my “Stalker Diaries”…

I’ve been happily watching ole’ Hurricane Dean be forecasted to head AWAY from our Happy Place…Phew…dodged a bullet there I think, but I’m thinking happy thoughts for those in his path as it looks NASTY…now they’re saying it’ll hit Jamaica as a Cat 5…ugly, just ugly…

We kicked off our vacation with a visit to our friends’ house last night for some yummy blue martinis, food and fun in the pool. We had a blast…a perfect attitude adjustment to get my head in the vacation mode that it needs to be in.

All that’s left to do today is to sort of finalize the packing of the carry-on bags…you know, get all my liquids together in one spot so I can pull them out at security easily enough, etc…

Oh, and the hotel bag for tonight. I have to pack an outfit to wear tomorrow, but that’s it. That bag is ready to go.

I need to bring our fish Angel over to my friends’ house and water the plants. Then we’re outta here.

I’ve been struggling with whether or not to bring my laptop. Sure, it would be nice to sit and work on my TR in the mornings with my coffee, but I don’t want one more thing to lug around and worry about. Besides, I can’t sit and smoke on my balcony so sitting outside and working on my TR is out anyway.

Now I’ll just have to take good notes. And work it later.

Oh! And guess who, just like clockwork, has developed a cough 2 days before we get to Disney World? Anyone? Yep…my little guy. OMG…WHAT am I going to do??? Why does this happen every single time???

So we’ll be dealing with that…

I still have to put my ME tags on the bags before we leave today. I was playing suitcase roulette there for awhile so I didn’t want to put them on a suitcase that ultimately wasn’t going to make the cut, KWIM?

And of course all week long I sat at my desk at work like a zoo exhibit while people walked by and hisspererd to each other "She's going to Disney AGAIN"...and there were the 500 questions, all posed the same way..."Why?" Look people, if I have to explain, you wouldn't understand. Now walk away slowly and you won't get hurt...

I've also been getting together my little "get up" for the P & P party and for those of you who wondered right along with me whether Tony would go...well, he's still on the fence, but leaning to our side now!!

I did manage to get my new, lime green make-up tackle box packed...here's a picture of it next to the original one...it's a bit smaller and now fits nicely inside the giant "make-up/shower bag/shoe suitcase"... which is MUCHO heavy now...Tony's not going to be happy when he picks that thing up to load it in the car...

Anywhooo...here they are side by side...

And here it is, almost fully loaded...

Now the bottom of it is filled with hair product and all ready to go!!

I've got all of Michael's first day of school stuff all loaded into his backpack and a tote bag for their class "wish list" and ready to go and his outfit is already set out so the morning after we get back he can just roll out of bed and we're ready to start first grade.

Michael tested out my camera to make sure it's ready for Disney World so I gave him this parting shot...

And I'll see YOU guys...

Hmmm....that looks a little blurry...he must get that from his dad...

Oooohhh...the tackle box! Target, baby!!! It's made by Caboodles...it was in the makeup/nail section...not much money, and from my initial impressions, it's handier than a pocket on a t-shirt!
