The moment that gives you the feeling...

I have a few:

-Seeing Cinderella's castle for the first time
-riding Peter Pan's flight
-Wishes fireworks right infront of the castle

The 'marching music' on the WDW transportation buses. My son just cannot stay in his seat!

At the airport in Orlando.

Near the Southwest gates, there is a Mickey wall statue. Our first trip, our girls posed in front of it. It was almost 11, and seriously raining. But we'd made it in - and lightning even struck one of the trams and put it out of commission. All of us were exhausted. But put us in front of Mickey, smiles all around.

I have a few

1. The smell of any air conditioned building in WDW
2. Walking into space mountain (love the music)
3. Standing under spaceship earth

For me, it hits sometime during The Little Mermaid scene in Philharmagic. No matter how late it is in the day or the trip, I don't really 'feel it' until then.

At least for my daughter it was on the transportation bus from our resort to MK, and the first glimpse of Cindy's Castle came into view.

For me, it's getting off the plane in Orlando, and knowing I'm not picking up a laptop for work-related reasons for an entire week.

Mine would definitely be seeing the purple road signs and palm trees. Ever since I was little, I would freak out once I finally saw those signs lol. Also the first day on the bus. There's nothing like waiting on the bus with the smell of sunscreen waiting to go to the first park of the trip :goodvibes

Opening the door to our room at BCV after check-in. That first view of the room always feels like coming home.

Definitely when we get to the airport, but most of all when we drive under the arch. And getting on the monorail, and walking into the MK for the first time.

To quote Jasmine, "It's all so magical" I say that a lot around here, one of my favorite sayings :rotfl2:

I get that "feeling" when arriving at our Buffalo airport and getting on the plane to go to Florida. My stomach gets all nervous and jumpy and I cant wait to be there:thumbsup2

Mine is the tinkling piano that starts the MK Welcome Show music. That's where it always starts for me.

Mine is a split second after getting into the hotel room.

We've stayed on site each time we've went and something about flipping down on the bed and laying back for a second after constantly having to be "on" since back home.

And the rest normally takes about a minute before I realize WHERE I am and what there is to
DO outside of my room. That's when I get the rush and the excitement.

I'm usually wound up from the time I open my eyes on travel day. lol! But... the minute the door to the plane opens & I step out into the Florida humidity on the jetway at MCO - all is right in my world. :)

There has always been an instant, primal reaction in me at that moment that says.. or screams - VACATION. Add in palm trees & I'm done! hahaa!

"Please stand clear of the doors, and hold on to hand rails. The shuttle will be departing momentarily for the main terminal. Whether you are here on business, returning home, or visiting our world class attractions, Welcome to Orlando and Central Florida .... "

I have two:

1) Boarding DME to go to our resort. Just seeing the bus pull up and and hopping on board, I know that I'm just minutes away from happy happy happy.

2) Getting through the gates and under the railroad at MK and crossing onto Main Street USA. The smell of the Main Street Bakery, with Cinderella Castle in the background. I'm finally home.

Yes!!!!!! It hits me then I have made it through the flight with my 2 children and we are in Florida to visit our favorite spot because while I'm sure there are others, I haven't encountered another airport with one of these trams yet.

The video on Magical Express is another. Then getting our packet at the resort.

Also the announcement on the Disney bus, especially the music when we get to Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom is always our first park. My "I'm really here" attraction is Philharmagic.

:hyper: Not much longer now.

Pulling up to our Disney resort and, more officially, checking in! But when I really start to feel the magic (and hey, maybe even tear up a little) is stepping through the gate at MK and walking down Main Street. I don't know why, but it always feels like home!

Me too!!! And then for probably the first 15 or so trips I always did EPCOT first day and Spaceship Earth first attraction, so walking up into it triggers a deep cellular response. Also, when I start to hear the music when walking over the bridge into Adventure Land.
