The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

First, let's get this out of the way....:faint: and :worship:

Chroma Key rocks! There is so much you can do with it.

No, YOU rock GB!

If you then grabbed 4 yards of green fabric from Hancock, three shop lights & CFL bulbs from Home Depot, and checked out a wireless mic and camera from your house of worship, you could drape the cloth over the fridge, clamp the lights in the kitchen to create a 3 point lighting system, back the camera up into the office and video yourself through the door as you introduced each segment of the video.

All hypothetically, of course.

Hey, how'd you make it look like you're standing behind the railing? Uh oh, I've got a feeling there's an explanation coming that is going to go right over my head. :duck:

And then your sister will call a nerd to the N’th degree. (Whatever that means.) But you won’t care. Because you know that your vacation video is the bomb diggity.

Doesn't someone have to be somewhat of a nerd to understand what "N'th degree" means?

I'm sure that your vacation video is, in fact, the bomb diggity. Just awesome!

:worship: Holy shizzle GB, that's awesome!

You ain't kiddin'.

Hmmm, I responded to this earlier, but I guess I fell victim to the "missing post" syndrome!!! Hopefully I can remember the insanely witty remarks I originally made.....

I recall that I was looking for flags and Mickey heads and all kinds of things at the pool, but they never materialized.
With all the rain early in the trip, unfortunately plans had to frequently change. :guilty:

What is that, Pennsylvania Dutch language? Goot?
No, just substituting the T in haT for the D in gooD so I could poke fun at one of your all too infrequent typos!!! ;)

Man, you'll do anything to get readers won't you? Okay, okay.
Well, when you are as woefully behind as I am... :worship:

Ok I know I have admitted it before that I am not a Star Wars person, but that Hyperspace Hoopla looks like a lot o' fun!!!! Those Star Wars peeps can MOVE!

its mickey magic, duh glenn

:3dglasses

Thanks Glenn! Glad you liked it!

It was a technique called masking or rotoscoping. This makes a portion of your frame transparent so you can see the layer below it. It works likes this.

On the bottom layer, I put a photo of Chef Mickeys. This became my background.

On the next layer, I put the video of me narrating. I used a garbage matte to mask out everything but the green screen. (This turned everything outside of the green screen transparent so you could see the Chef Mickey’s bakground.) I then used a chroma key tool to remove the green screen and make it transparent, leaving an image of myself superimposed over the background.

On the top layer, I added the same photo of Chef Mickey’s that I used on the background layer. I used a roto tool to draw an outline around the rail. Then I used an inverted mask which made everything outside of the shape I had drawn transparent. You could then see the background and the layer of me narrating everywhere except on the railing.

And here I thought that was another name for a colonoscopy.

It might be the auto-disinfection of the DIS, did you not know that wit causes pneumonia? So most likely they now screen posts and if they are too witty they disappear.

:rotfl2:

Good thing you're holding back Marv! We don't want a pandemic.

Woo HOO! I'm caught up! I was literally 14 installments behind.

I know...I suck.

Hey! I know what you're thinking. Stop it!

Anyway...Who knew you could send coconuts? Yeah, yeah, you can all put your hands down. Obviously I didn't.

That hoopla thing looked hilarious. But, being the totally non-SW geek that I am, I could miss it and be totally okay with that. Heretic, I know. Sue me.

Looking forward for more, Glenny.

Yeah, hopefully.

Sadly I have to agree. They weren't nearly as funny the second time around. :sad2:

Sorta like most of your jokes on here!!! :rolleyes1
Like that speedo you were going to wear?
 Ewww, not after you had it on I wasn't!!!
Oooooooohhhhhhhhh! Now I get it!
And I'M the slow one????

Now........, I expect it from this one!!!!

Geez Louise, even I wouldn't to read that much of my own writing in one shot.

Anyway...Who knew you could send coconuts? Yeah, yeah, you can all put your hands down. Obviously I didn't.

No, the TR readers have their hands down. Most of the comments after that installment were people saying that they didn't know about that.

No, you're more of a logistics geek.

First Boma, now Star Wars. Good thing you're a Gaffigan fan.

Looking forward for more, Glenny.

I'll see what I can dream up, er, I mean what my trip notes say.

Sadly I have to agree. They weren't nearly as funny the second time around. :sad2:

Sorta like most of your jokes on here!!! :rolleyes1

Aw, you're re-reading my jokes?

You makin' fun o' me???
Now........, I expect it from this one!!!!

I knew you did.

Me??? Never!!!

That looks just like you Magdalene.

Continued from previous post

(I had to do some research to find the names of the last two, I'm not that much of a geek).

Phew, I'm glad you cleared that up - you had me worried for a minute;)

I’ve gotta tell you, I know it’s the wrong science-fiction series, but after watching this I can understand Captain Kirk’s penchant for alien women. I didn’t care what act was coming up next, these ladies had my vote!

:lmao:

well i did mine just like that, but i used a flux capasitor imaging tool and switched the polarity of the electrons on the hard drive to allow for the extra protons to come out of the CD. and guess what

all that work and i forgot to hit save.

so the pictures are just going in a photo album this time.

WOW! Did she look this good in person? That makeup must have taken hours. Once again I am amazed by Disney's attention to detail.:thumbsup2

Yep, she did. I know what you mean. Did you see the one who was all terra-cotta colored, and a lot more skin showing? I can't imagine that makeup session.

Phew, I'm glad you cleared that up - you had me worried for a minute;)

Yes, I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression!

Maybe Magdelene with an "e" but NOT Magdalene with an "A!" ;)

A rose is a rose is a rose.

:rotfl2: Ain't that always the case!

Well of course he recognized the Slave Leia outfits.

And your suspicion is right -- you don't want to know!

He was a little shocked that I knew what he was talking about. A guess a case of a thought coming out of his mouth before he thinks. A typical man. My boy is growing up. I have a feeling this trip with him in sept will be eye-opening for me.

Thanks V!

I feel the same way.
WOW GB I am  and  and :thumbsup2 all at the same time.
You have got some Mad Skilz.
