The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Even though you did have your fancy lens with you, the pictures turned out really good! You must have a fast shutter if you can take 4 pictures of the car flipping before it completely flips over. I really liked your review of Indiana. Made me feel like I was watching it all over again. I agree about the "over-the-top" acting of that one stunt guy. It gets a bit old after you've seen the show a few times.

You got some great shots of Indiana Jones. I haven't seen that show in years and this year was no different because it was so hot.

I have had the sunscreen run down my eyes before and know it is no fun. This has been a really hot summer so far.

Hey, I just popped over from Jenbears PTR. I just sat down and read everything you've written so far, and I'm very much enjoying it. Thanks for your play by play of the Indy show for 2 reasons: 1)Because I didn't get to see it myself in May and 2)I made the mistake of drinking while I was reading and almost choked from laughter. The Coronado rooms look really nice. We stayed in a studio at Kidani and loved it, and when I read your TR from last year I remember you saying your family really enjoyed the resort, too. Can't wait to read more!

Thanks for the play by play with pictures of the Indy show. I thoroughly enjoyed it which is great for me, cause it's not on our list of things to do on our first family trip. So thanks :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 We will have to try and catch it when the boys are a little older. Your description was very entertaining, I felt like I was there :):goodvibes

While I was reading the post about Glenn's eye burning from sunscreen my eyes started watering! When I read your post, tears were streaming down my face.:lmao: What is it with the power of suggestion here?

That is funny! Oh, I just yawned...let me know if that causes any reaction. (It did with me, I just yawned a second time.)

Good update. I think we missed this show on our last trip but it looks like something my boys would enjoy. I have so say I am so thinking about getting a nifty fifty lens before our trip next week. It would be perfect for some of those low-lighting shots.

Thanks. Definitely a good show for boys.

Have you been on Lynn5700's trip report? She takes some awesome pictures with a Canon camera and a nifty fifty lens.

Thank you! Party-way through (I think around the time of the marketplace fight) I remembered to put the camera on continuous shooting, so I could just hold down the button and get a bunch of pictures. That's one reason I wanted an SLR camera, I hated the delay you get before you can take another picture with the point-and-shoot cameras.

Thanks. Oh, you knew it'd be hot in there, huh? Somehow I thought it'd be at least a little cooler.

It stings!

:welcome: bellebookworm9! Thanks for coming over! Wow, you read last year's TR too? :worship: That's a fair amount of reading you've done. There are some flashback trip reports in the PTR too, if you haven't looked in there yet.

We love Kidani!

I see you're at Geneseo. I have a niece going there, and she's also from Buffalo, well Getzville actually.

You're welcome! Yes, there is so much to do at Disney, you can't do everything in one trip. Pick and choose, then go back again.

Thanks!

Well, I didn't read last year's today; I read it quite some time ago. Do you know your niece's year/major? I might know her. If you don't want to share that info here, you can PM me.

I was just letting Brook win.

Indy was a fun show- AND crazy hot! They pack WAY to many people in there, and I felt like there were too many folks, you know, like in my personal space.

But it was fun! You're right though, it kills an entire hour.

Yeah, the biggest problem with Indiana Jones is even though your shaded your also blocked from the wind just like the Backlot Tour line and water show.

It looks like you were on the stage left side which got you closer to the action at the end. We were far stage right when we saw it in '07. Did you know you can hang around after and get autographs from the director and stuntmen? I heard someone else mention that in a trip report and wondered if you saw anything like that?

Oh, by the way, Ford doesn't care for plans of a Star Wars Weekends version of the Stunt Show.

That's because we weren't acting....that's the first time Stitch actually tore through the pavement. Hee hee. Thanks though!

:rotfl:

Oh my gosh, even standing on the mat, he's GINORMOUS!

Don't shoot me, but I've never watched the Indy Show OR LMA. As I was reading through and seeing your pics I was starting to think maybe I'd give it a try..... until you mentioned how hot and humid. No thanks! Looking forward to the Great Cooling Ride!

OK I think that GINORMOUS stunt guy must be related to the 50ft woman from the Sci-FI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Great Indy recap!

Love your narration and pictures!! First time I saw that show I was picked to be an extra. They had us sign waivers and didn't warn us about the truck explosion. Boy, was that hot!! And frightening since we weren't prepared. The second it happened they instructed us to drop to the ground. Quite exciting. Plus, I got to shake Indy's hand. ;)

Oh, okay. That makes sense!

I was just letting Brook win.

Thanks for being such a good sport!

So you know what I'm talking about then....hotter than you'd think it would be, but a decent show. Don't need to see it every trip though.

The air was kind of stifling in there.

It was just by luck, well I did know that we'd be closer to the exit, so that factored into where we sat. But I didn't know we'd be closer to the action at the end.

No, I didn't know you can hang around for autographs. Thanks for the info.!

That's a riot! Did you make that one too? :worship:

Oh my gosh, even standing on the mat, he's GINORMOUS!

A big guy, for sure. He just makes everyone else look like they're 2/3 scale models.

Don't shoot me, but I've never watched the Indy Show OR LMA. As I was reading through and seeing your pics I was starting to think maybe I'd give it a try..... until you mentioned how hot and humid. No thanks! Looking forward to the Great Cooling Ride!

Oh, I'd still do it. It just helps to know what you're in for. A different time of year might help.

OK I think that GINORMOUS stunt guy must be related to the 50ft woman from the Sci-FI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2: "Son of the 50 foot Woman"

Great Indy recap!

Thank you!

How cool. Okay, they say that the extras are leaving to get costumes on...I didn't know they were signing waivers also. Makes sense though. The fires were hot even in the audience.

Finally caught up! I just can't seem to stay on track with everyone! CSR looks like a great resort! Looks like a great system for payment - they should try that at SSR. So COOL you met Dan and Candi! :cool1: Looks like you had a great time! That's what I love about the DIS - finding out about all the obscure things to do, and meeting lots of friends!

Looks like you're having a "moist exciting" day at DHS! Sorry your Star Wars interactions were disappointing. Too bad the food was a little Ehh at Sci Fi. We've loved it, but I've heard alot of mixed reviews.

Glad you're caught up. I liked the payment system at the Pepper Market, but others on here find it a little confusing, so it seems there are mixed views on the DIS. It was really nice to meet Dan and Candi and we had a fun time at the Yeehaa Bob show together.

Yes, I've noticed some moisture on myself in some of those pictures, but didn't really want to point it out. :crazy2: We liked Sci-Fi, and my wife really wants to go back, but we learned to pretty much just stick with a burger.

That's funny!!! Well, not the whole pain thing...;)

Good mid-stream correction there.

Whatever!!!!!!!!! :snooty::snooty::snooty:

Don't let that trash-talker get under your skin!

Hi there just checking in on my Peeps and relaxing !!!

Howdy! Sounds good to me.

Wow great pics of Indy!!! We skipped both shows this trip due to the heat. Man this trip was HOT!!

Ok - I was two updates (and eight pages) behind, but I think I'm caught up now!

Enjoyed reading about your Streetmosphere encounter. We had fun with a guy dressed as an officer in 2007 - he stopped DH, who was wearing his bday button for about the fourth day in a row, and asked him if it was really his bday. DH was honest and said no...the guy wrote him a ticket! :rotfl: He added a charge when he found out we were from Indiana, too. ;) They're really a great part of that park!

I don't think I've seen Indiana Jones since 1992. (Geeez, that was a long time ago...now I feel a bit old). Great pictures, even without your lens. That guy was huge - wouldn't want to run across him in a dark alley!

I just did another update !!!!Hint Hint !!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks for the heads-up! I went over and checked it out.

Thanks. Yes, it was moist and exhausting.

That's too funny -- being busted for an expired birthday button!

1992! Wow, that was a long time ago. ;) I wish I could say I was still in school then or something like that, but I was married and working...but no kids yet.

Thanks.
