The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Not only Disney food... but the eventual spilling over into every day life. I was at the Keg a couple weeks ago and when they placed the plate of food in front me, I thought to myself "Hey, this would make for some great food porn -- oh wait, it's not Disney" :rotfl: And I wouldn't call it strange.... just "special" :rolleyes1

Yep, I've been there. You are special!

What I do?! What I do?! Are you afraid I'd steal away Yee-haw Bob??

I thought you were making fun of me because I had put Yeehaa Bob's website in my replies to other people twice. I thought you were trying to see how many times you could get me to post it.

Since it would seem that you're innocent of that kind of thing. Here you go --> Link

I hate those dang air quotes!

Me too, but they come in so darned handy sometimes.

I really should know the answer to this, but I can't remember..... :sad2:

It is sad. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

That was on purpose, sorta like something being a "fragment" of your imagination. My other choice had to do with subbing an "r" for the first "h" with a slight alteration in the order..... :rolleyes1

Okay, okay.

Okay, waiting on more German lessons! popcorn::

All that's coming to mind is Wayne Newton...."Danke schoen, darling danke schoen".

The pandora charm is on a business trip to a PChef conference for a few days with its owner.

How nice of the charm to take its owner along for the outing! ;) I hope Judy had a good time at the conference. :goodvibes

Phonographic memory? Is that like a zero-gravity pool?

:lmao: I just tried to picture a zero-gravity pool, I wonder whether this would be one huge drop of water floating through air...

There you go with that arm flab stuff again. I'm not buyin' it.

On the first part of her PTR she even claims that the arm flab is brain eating. :scared1: Luckily I think it is only eating hers, not other's brains as well... ;)

Do they have an expression similar to "you can't fight city hall" in German?

Like I said Magdalene, if you've got a German expression that means the same as "you can't fight city hall", now's the time to use it.

Okay, waiting on more German lessons! popcorn::

It appears that we don't have this expression in German - sorry Marv, but see next quote...

The reason might be that we here in (West-)Germany were lucky that after 1945 our political system was mainly rebuild with the help of the experienced democracies of the USA and the UK - and the advisors from there tried their best to help us avoid the mistakes they experienced in their own countries. :goodvibes German political and constitutional history since WW II is really quite interesting since it was so much driven by not repeating the mistakes made in the past (also those we made with our first constitution of 1919).

I just can't imagine beer and Sprite.

It has to be a pale lager beer, don't try it with a dark beer. It is really nice and refreshing. Did I mention that is called "Radler" which means cyclist - and that's when it is especially good: after a nice bike ride!

I do that regularly on trips now... It is a great way to remember a nice meal! :goodvibes Whether at Disney or not. :confused3

You never know when it might go viral! :rotfl2:

That show looks like so much fun :lmao::cool1::thumbsup2

I had never heard of it before, but now I'll have to add it to our list of things to do on trips. Probably not our first trip next year, but maybe the one after that.

And a dismeet at the same time:banana::banana: Wow!

How fun. Can't wait to read more.

Good Morning all just back from passing meds at my second job!!! 6 am is just too darn early to be reading instructions !!:rotfl2:

Glad you're caught up V! I trust you had a good vacation?
We sure did, thanks! :thumbsup2

“We don’t have Shirley Temple’s here.” “Here, we have ‘Zip-a-dee-doo-dah’s! Being Port Orleans Riverside.”
Good grief, lol!

Yeehaa Bob sounds like a blast! This amazes me:
Then he asked people, by name, to stand on their chairs. He said which ones were celebrating birthdays and such. They were all people he had talked to prior to the show. His memory was pretty impressive.
I tend to forget names, like, instantly, so this blows my mind!

It was a pretty good start to the trip, and we hadn’t even set foot in a park yet!
LOVE those days! :goodvibes

Bob's show looks like a lot of fun! I'll have to remember that for our next trip! Glad there wasn't a real problem with your credit card!

I agree.

So, you're demonstrating that you can "fix" city hall, rather than fight it. :thumbsup2

But that probably still won't help you with the rules "committee".

It has to be a pale lager beer, don't try it with a dark beer. It is really nice and refreshing. Did I mention that is called "Radler" which means cyclist - and that's when it is especially good: after a nice bike ride!

I'll be honest with you, I'm probably not going to try it with any beer. But it's good to know that if I do, only try it with a pale lager.

Which is different than a pale logger, Marv. Got that? (Lumberjacks don't get a lot of sun.)

I do that regularly on trips now... It is a great way to remember a nice meal! :goodvibes Whether at Disney or not. :confused3

Meals are a big part of any trip!

You never know when it might go viral! :rotfl2:

It's spreading to the web now?

Yep. One more thing to add to your list. There's so much to do at Disney, even a week isn't nearly enough time.

Good Morning all just back from passing meds at my second job!!! 6 am is just too darn early to be reading instructions !!:rotfl2:

G'morning Rosie!

Good grief, lol!

That's what I was thinking too.

Yeehaa Bob sounds like a blast! This amazes me:

I tend to forget names, like, instantly, so this blows my mind!

Same with me, even though I try, names pretty much just flow right out of my head. Somehow I remember yours, maybe 'cause it's just one letter.

Bob's show looks like a lot of fun! I'll have to remember that for our next trip! Glad there wasn't a real problem with your credit card!

It was. I highly recommend it!

Actually, failure to provide German lessons when prompted would probably incur severe penalties, regardless of the availability of said translations... :confused3

Not sure I agree with the lumberjack comment since they would be in the sun at most opportunities. However, after Liesa's history lesson, I was envisioning a photograph of Honest Abe, or maybe little George W. taking out that cherry tree...:lmao:
It's spreading to the web now?
I guess it's become.................................wait for it.................................
Contagious!!! (ba-dump-dump!) :rolleyes1

This is a reference to one of last year's TR installments. Link We had the same thought as you!

I read that... I wonder wether I have this brain eating arm flab as well since I forgot all about it. But this way I got to reread about your meet with Marvin and since I know now who he is, that's much more interesting! I must say you have a tendency to meet with DISers with great taste in clothing. I think Marv is wearing a great shirt in that picture! :thumbsup2

Oops, my bad. That's what I get for assuming a bus driver would just naturally be a man.:guilty:

thats okay, yo udont see that many women drivers so i will let it slide.
Too much time attending the glennbo university of building anticipation and readership I see..... :sad2:
::yes::

We went to Hawai'i on a package tour. The first morning after we arrived, they got everyone that purchased the same package together, presented all these wonderful sightseeing/show packages for us to purchase if we wanted, and then bussed us to Hilo Hattie's in Honolulu so we could take care of all our clothing purchases up front. Of course, once you get out on the street you find many opportunities to purchase the same things for much less. :rolleyes1
sounds like they saw you guys coming.
 well your whole group and knew they could take you.

Thanks for correcting me. I don't think I really heard the original request actually. I just remember him showing up with 2, and I was about finished, so it seemed like the thing to do to not let it go to waste!
never waste a good beverage...:thumbsup2

Believe me, the rest of the matching outfits I've seen don't compare to yours!
im hoping this one was a compliment...

I was a little concerned to start with when the picture went from two people down to only one. Then your commentary pointed out that there were indeed a total of three in the picture. I guess my eyesight is getting worse than I thought.... ;)
:sad2:

(BTW, I didn't want to mention this, but you took an awful lot of pictures of Dan's wife there bud  )
:rotfl:

actually to his defense, i told him to take as many pictures as he wanted, because my camera battery was dieing and i want pictures of the event.

I looked into this issue and it appears that it might be similar to our Beck's Green Lemon. Which I actually like quite a bit. It is a version of the beer with sprite which is a very popular drink here in Germany. :goodvibes
hmm interesting combination.

You made me have to go back and see what shirt I was wearing. Actually, I could do a whole trip with different colored shirts with the same logo. I got involved with this charity event about 7 years ago through Boy Scouts since that is one of the charities they support. I have been a walking scorekeeper each of those years, and the shirts change color each year, so I have quite a variety.

It is a lot of fun, I get to see some good golf on some beautiful courses, good exercise since I have to walk with a foursome/threesome for four straight days, and sometimes I get put with one of the celebrities. For you LOST fans, last year I was with the group that included Terry O'Quinn, who played John Locke on the show. What a nice, and fun, guy! :thumbsup2

sounds like they saw you guys coming.
 well your whole group and knew they could take you.
It was one of those packages anyone can buy through their local TA. They just know when huge numbers of people are coming in, and they have these things probably every morning. Luckily we didn't go crazy that first morning, and added on some additional activities after seeing the better prices.

actually to his defense, i told him to take as many pictures as he wanted, because my camera battery was dieing and i want pictures of the event.
Yeah, but he didn't have to be so happy to oblige..... :rotfl:

Told ya so!

And this sure ups the ante!! Now I have to think about clothing for our DISMeet. I can only how imagine how rumpled I"ll look when I meet you, having to use "suitcase" clothing. LOL!

Oh brother.

I forgot that Marvin was in that chapter. (Sorry about that.) Just kidding Marv.

never waste a good beverage...:thumbsup2

That's one thing I learned in college.

im hoping this one was a compliment...

Absolutely!

actually to his defense, i told him to take as many pictures as he wanted, because my camera battery was dieing and i want pictures of the event.

I meant to write that, but forgot when I was actually typing out responses. Thanks for coming to my defense.

Yeah, but he didn't have to be so happy to oblige..... :rotfl:

It was the least I could do.

Crap, Marv beat me to it.

It happens to the best of us sometimes.

One more thing to plan.

Zero Gravity Pool !! Hmmmmmmm !!! I thought maybe it was on the MOON!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

That's what they want you to think, but we know better.

I jumped in a zero gravity pool once, but the water all floated away before I could make a splash. Explains a lot doesn't it.........

Yep.

Well in that case, go ahead, drink Sprite with a pale logger.
Quite possibly the only potential combination I could handle!
I forgot that Marvin was in that chapter. (Sorry about that.) Just kidding Marv.
:surfweb:....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Luckily I had just put down my coffee!!!
That's one thing I learned in college.
That's a required freshman class isn't it??? ;)
I meant to write that, but forgot when I was actually typing out responses. Thanks for coming to my defense.
Yeah, I know.....always happy to help!
It was the least I could do.
Never let it be said that Glenn didn't do the least he could do......(Sorry, you're the one that said less Dennis Miller and more 3 Stooges)
It happens to the best of us sometimes.
Some more than others......
Once again, glad I had set the coffee cup down!!! :rotfl2:
