The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

You're the first person to mention a Judy-sighting, so you get all the points for this round. Marvin was too late. :sad2:
Dang it. I invent the game, make the rules, and I get trumped by that elusive magdalenious exception!

That's great Marvin! Nice job! Too bad all the points already went to Magdalene.
Man, you just have to KEEP rubbing it in, don't you???

And it's almost as colorful.
Only if you mix in some carrots and plums

Mamby pamby!
That's MISTER Mamby Pamby!

<fist bump>

<burp>
Could this be one of those elusive glennbo typos??? I like the thoughts, but I prefer pictures!!!

That's great that you were able to upgrade your tickets! Tell you what...I'll trade you a Disney ticket for a PSU ticket....I totally think that's a fair trade :rotfl:.

Just a minute while I decide which one of my kids' tickets I'm trading.

Great update.....and totally jealous of
Stephanie and her Mickey shaped diamonds!

It seems like everybody is. Now I really wish I'd taken a picture!

Dang it. I invent the game, make the rules, and I get trumped by that elusive magdalenious exception!

Man, you just have to KEEP rubbing it in, don't you???

It's like James Naismith getting dunked on.

Only if you mix in some carrots and plums

In technicolor.

That's MISTER Mamby Pamby!

Touchy, touchy!

Could this be one of those elusive glennbo typos??? I like the thoughts, but I prefer pictures!!!

No...I was too lazy to look for a smiley emoticon.

What great luck with the tickets to no where. Another trip to plan is always :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

That was a GREAT update.:):cool1:

Can't wait to read more.

Wow - I think it took me over an hour to catch up!!

Love the two new updates.

The food at Pepper Market looks good. The ordering system reminds me of a place in Boston I went to a few times - I think it was called Marche.

I googled Beer and tomato juice because I couldn't imagine that it was really a drink, but I should have believed Jordan!! :lmao:

Red Eye:
Add a shot of tomato juice to any ale or lager (this cocktail is also known as Tomato Beer or a Red Rooster). If you add a splash of Tabasco, the drink becomes a Ruddy Mary

Nice job on getting the ticket upgrades!! :thumbsup2

Wish you had taken a picture of the engagement ring!!

ooops, sorry!! :upsidedow:flower3:

That's the the chain we had here in Germany as well: Mövenpick Marché. Mövenpick is actually a Swiss company. :goodvibes

Day 1 - Part 3

We're flyin' aren't we?

I suppose we could have walked over to the building and started trying our keys in every door, but that’s a good way to get kicked-out. Or at least, so I’m told.

Glad you mentioned that- sometimes with the Disney-induced euphoria we forget what's legal...

I asked the cashier if they accepted the Tables in Wonderland card. She said, no they didn’t, but the Maya Grill next door did. I said, “what about an annual passholder discount or DVC member discount?” She smiled, and said, “No”. Then I really dug deep, looking for anything, “how about AAA, or Blood Bank of Delmarva?” (I was thinking of what cards I had in my wallet in case I actually had to produce identification in the unlikely event she said “Why, yes! Yes we do give a Blood Bank of Delmarva discount!” I thought about asking about my grocery card, but I have that under a pseudonym, “Bob Frapples”. Think Halloween.) This cashier had obviously been trained very well by the Disney negotiating team.

You should have tried both your library card and your frequent flyers card. :confused3

After settling our bill, we went to the shop next door to buy some refillable drink mugs. Each kid got their own color lid, the same colors as last year.

Fill me in on the color choices here. I might need to color coordinate my wardrobe for this event.

I realized I was beginning to get a pretty decent headache :headache: and asked Judy if she had any Advil. I was hoping that that wasn’t something she had forgotten to bring along in the limited time that she had to pack. Fortunately, it wasn’t, and I downed one. I don’t usually get headaches, and very rarely take anything for them, so I was hoping that one Advil would do it.

So......... did it?

I had to keep everyone from running amok and throwing their things all over the place until I could get at least a couple of pictures of the nice, clean room.

You actually performed the feat of 'clean room shot'- nice! :thumbsup2 Ours usually looks like this for about 15 seconds.

“was it a bonus given to everyone?” I didn’t want to get too excited until I knew for sure.

I can think of a lot worse bonuses.

We got to the counter and BOOYAH! Yep, PChef had thrown in a free waterpark or DisneyQuest day for everyone! Awesome!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Not quite as good as say a free dinner at Vic and Al's but not bad.

Anyway, enough about those poor schmucks. This is my TR.)

I don't know, reading a poor schmuck's TR might be good for SOME entertainment value!

After the merriment of our free waterpark tickets died-down

I wanted video of this.

Judy glanced at me to take the ball on this one.

Ummm... honey... I love this unspoken communication technique.

Hmmm, that was some new information. :scratchin

Well, it's about time!

I mean lines that don’t lead to rides. Or food. Oh, you know what I mean!

I DO know what you mean!!! ::yes:: Only at Disney is it FUN to stand in a line.

Would you like to add any days, as well?”

Why, yes, yes, of course I do.

At that point I noticed a familiar shape adorning Stephanie’s hand. I said, “Is that a Mickey engagement ring Stephanie?” She said, “Why, yes it is! It’s not everybody who has their boss on their engagement ring.” So, you all will just have to imagine. It shouldn’t be too hard, you know the shape.

Very COOL!

This is what I really wanted to do at home, if we had known what options we had with our tickets.

These things TAKE TIME, people!!! :headache:

To pick up free tickets, we said “No problem”, we’d stop back.

I think I'd walk to the North Pole for free tickets!

We left to go back to our room, very happy with the outcome of our “tickets to nowhere”. We hadn’t walked very far, only about to the Pepper Market, when we heard, “Ma’am! Ma’am!”

Only at Disney!!

Then when we got off the elevator he held the door and said, “Do me a favor”.

Yes?

“…..Enjoy!”

We took a few steps and Lauren said, “I love Disney!” I said, “I know! Where do they find these people?!”

See above comment.

Wish you had taken a picture of the engagement ring!!

Sorry it took you a while, but at least you were entertained, I hope.

Interesting alternative names for the Red Eye!

I know -- I wish I had taken a picture! It just seemed strange to ask, and would have been even stranger without asking! Maybe if anyone else here will be staying at CSR soon?

Joining in! :thumbsup2

:welcome: 02AggieGirl! Please join in the fun!

:cheer2::cheer2:

ooops, sorry!! :upsidedow:flower3:

Don't apologize. When you're good, you're good.

That's the the chain we had here in Germany as well: Mövenpick Marché. Mövenpick is actually a Swiss company. :goodvibes

Unfortunately, I've never heard of them. I need to get out (as in, of the country) more.

Thanks for that, I think I might even give it a try. :thumbsup2

I think I'll pass on that.

We're flyin' aren't we?

Yeah, at this rate.....well, we might be here a while. But what else do you have to do?

Glad you mentioned that- sometimes with the Disney-induced euphoria we forget what's legal...

Especially around the pools at Pop, so I hear.

You should have tried both your library card and your frequent flyers card. :confused3

Where were you when I needed you?

Fill me in on the color choices here. I might need to color coordinate my wardrobe for this event.

Red, Black, and Yellow. You should decide now which color you want. Make sure you record it in your planning binder so you don't forget.

So......... did it?

Hold on, hold on!

You actually performed the feat of 'clean room shot'- nice! :thumbsup2 Ours usually looks like this for about 15 seconds.

Ours made it that long, but only because that's how long it took me to take the pictures.

I can think of a lot worse bonuses.

....let's see, there's a poke in the eye with a sharp stick....

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Not quite as good as say a free dinner at Vic and Al's but not bad.

That'd be nice. I think the kids'd prefer TL, but that'd be nice.

I don't know, reading a poor schmuck's TR might be good for SOME entertainment value!

I smell a TR title!

I wanted video of this.

It would've been good!

Ummm... honey... I love this unspoken communication technique.

That really did happen. I know you don't doubt it.

Well, it's about time!

Tell me about it!

I DO know what you mean!!! ::yes:: Only at Disney is it FUN to stand in a line.

::yes::

Why, yes, yes, of course I do.

Very COOL!

:yay:

These things TAKE TIME, people!!! :headache:

Exactly! I know you know.

I think I'd walk to the North Pole for free tickets!

Watch out for reindeer, um, stuff.

Only at Disney!!

See above comment.

That's why we love it! Well, that and a bunch of other reasons too.

ruh-oh...

Yeah, ruh roh.

Okay folks, I probably won't be able to get on here much over the weekend, so Happy 4th of July!

Oops! I had totally forgotten that it's a big, fat holiday weekend. Shoot some off for me, and may your burgers be big!

I don't know, reading a poor schmuck's TR might be good for SOME entertainment value!
Isn't that what we're all doing here??? :confused3

Red, Black, and Yellow. You should decide now which color you want. Make sure you record it in your planning binder so you don't forget.
Yeah I meant to ask about the mugs earlier. Those look just like the ones from last year. What's the diff??

....let's see, there's a poke in the eye with a sharp stick....
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You may want to check my PTR again, but you might have to revise your search..... :)

Same to you my good friend! Fire up the grill and let me know when the steaks will be ready. I'm loading the car right now!!! ;)

Shoot some off for me, and may your burgers be big!
A completely new way of celebrating the holiday? Must discuss these new plans with DW....... :rolleyes1

Have a great holiday! One day I will make a point to schedule a vacation to the US (but not to WDW, I am not that crazy...) to coincide with 4th of July! :goodvibes I really would love to experience the festivities once.

i knew about your ticket deal, and glad it worked out for you...

im wondering if we are going to make a appearence in the next chapter? or if we are still 1 away from it...i want to be there for this and dont want to miss it over the busy weekend.

what is this game i missed involving judy? spot the judy? or something involving her?:confused3

if so, i will start posting my own pictures of judy and get points for myself!:cool1:

Joining in! Love the TR title -- we're going in August and could probably title our TR the same:scared::faint:

Looking forward to reading more!

I'm with you...I'm glad I was wrong about them too! Oh, I guess I should reveal the backup plan I had if it came to "negotiating". If they had said that the tickets could only be used during those two weeks, and they really were of no use to me, I was going to ask that they comp me Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and DisneyQuest tickets. I would have of course turned-in the park tickets so they knew they wouldn't be used, but at least it would be something. You have to enter a negotiation with a strategy, right? ;) But fortunately it didn't come to that.

Ooh that was a good back up plan! And I bet you'd have gotten somewhere with it. Glad you didn't have to though.

Oh, good question! I hadn't thought about working that into the TR, maybe I will at some point, but James slept on the floor in a sleeping bag in between the two beds! Poor guy. Coronado Springs doesn't have occupancy for 5, and they're not supposed to book 5 to a room, but somehow the PChef people did. I wasn't sure if we'd have a problem at check-in, but CM Stephanie didn't say anything about it. I again had a backup plan if there was a problem...we knew another family that was larger than ours and had to get 2 rooms. They still had space in their second room if we had to move somebody there, but we didn't have to.

We've NEVER done that.

:rotfl:

I'm cranky I have to book 2 rooms. With 6 it becomes impossible to hide the extra kids.

for more than a night.

Plus they are getting big and actually now seem to care that they are on the floor or sharing a bed. Picky picky!

I'm hoping I can figure out a way to get connecting rooms at WL that have bunk beds in one but have been unsuccessful so far

It really gets tough as they get to the higher grades. It's a good thing though, that our kids take their schoolwork seriously enough to be

Sigh. I can't say that they cared....expect about the impact their performer had on privileges.....

Kendall probably cared but also knew her grades were more than strong enough that she could make up for it and she did. Taylor's another ball of wax entirely.

Which reminds me that I need to go nag about where we are at in terms of getting him some summer tutoring.

Sigh.

/QUOTE]

Me TOO!! If it means the difference between that or not going, we'll be putting one on the floor. But, mine are there too, now. They want the bed, and a bag on the floor just won't cut it anymore. Luckily, the older ones are moving out as fast as the younger ones are becoming picky.

Love the look of the CSR rooms. :thumbsup2
Glad the ticket situation worked out ok for you! I love that it all worked out & that you still got the free water park day! :woohoo:

. Anyway, we finished eating, I gathered-up all of our Pepper Market “bingo cards” and went to the cashier station.

We were in search of room 3452, in the Casitas section, which is the section nearest the Convention Center. Despite trying to follow signs which showed where various room numbers were located, we still wound around buildings, and made a few wrong turns. We went up one set of stairs, but it only went to a second floor on that particular building, and our room was a third floor room. Back down again. The good thing was, we happened upon some nice courtyards, with beautiful fountains and scenery. We eventually found a courtyard with an elevator! We got on it and pushed the button for the third floor. Getting off the elevator, Lauren started leading us to the “2” building instead of the “3”, but after correcting that, we soon found our room. We entered, and as I usually have to do, I had to keep everyone from running amok and throwing their things all over the place until I could get at least a couple of pictures of the nice, clean room.

Up next: Our first casualty

Thanks for the bingo card shout out - :)

You ended up in the Casita maze!!! :rotfl2:
I too have been there. The first trip to the room you are always - wow this is so confusing, especially Casitas 2 and 3 since I think 3 is actually closer.
You wander, look at all the pretty fountains go up and down the stairs and elevators and wonder how you will ever find your way back after a long day at the parks.
Then from the room back to either El Centro or the bus stop you walk straight there and wonder what took you so long to find your room.:rotfl2:

Great work on the tickets. I guess those were special convention tickets and they expired at the end of the year? I assume so since you needed to add the non expiring option. Otherwise if the tickets remain unused they would be good until used the first time and then the clock starts ticking. :confused3
