At first while writing this installment, I thought it was Judy-less but then I saw that picture and thought it was perfect -- I couldn’t have planned it any better. (Except for a window reflection shot, which I’ll have to work on next time.)

and on the update itself: wonderful christmas present!! These gorilla pictures are fantastic. As well as the Devine portrait! She is a beautiful lady - but I agree with Judy's asessment of her entertainment value.

I think I wrote about it during the Indiana Jones chapter, that I had left the zoom lens in the room on our first day (because we weren't going to AK that day, so no gorilla pictures were on the agenda) and I regretted that I didn't have it for the Indiana Jones show, so I vowed that I'd carry it from then on.

Day 6 - Part 2

This was another first for us! It was DeVine. She moved slowly and gracefully…and then wrapped her tendrils around a pole that she seemed particularly fond of.

We watched her for about 20 seconds, and then Judy said, “Yep. That’s DeVine all right.” “Okay, let’s go.”

I have been to Animal Kingdom three times and have yet to catch her. Judy's response makes me wonder if she was having phone call hangover.

Then we started down the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail. The first critter that was photo-worthy was the okapi.

I loove the Pangani Forest Trail! It's well shaded with plenty of animal viewing opportunities along the way.

We moved on, and saw a meerkat who liked to look in every direction except toward my camera.

He was just doing his majestic pose for you...if a meerkat can be called majestic.

And this guy looks really intimidating!

"I'll be glad to show you where you can store that zoom lens."

Glenn! I'm back from my Dis-hiatus, and all caught up. Wow, the suite at Kidani looks fabulous. So, there is more than one Devine? For some reason, I thought she was an entertainer in her own right. Doesn't she have a website? I guess somewhere I got the impression that she was a performance artist, and she'd been doing this shtick for a while at other venues before Disney hired her. Maybe I invented that?
