Just wondering if anyone else has seen the 3 CMs in MGM, portraying Public Works guys attempting to fix a water fountain. They are dressed in construction worker uniforms, and drive around, and stop at random places in MGM and perform a skit similar to Abbott and Costello -trying to fix a water fountain. They start working, and as a crowd forms, they start into their comedy routine which involves slapstick and verbal comedy. While the humor was intentionaly bad at times, the whole routine was hilarious. :rotfl2: Just another one of the details that seem to be overlooked that add to the magic at WDW

Sounds like these might be some of the streetmosphere characters. While I've never seen them, I'd love to know when they perform.

I saw them drive by twice when i was there two weeks ago! I never saw them get out and do anything, but they were pretty funny just the way they acted driving around.

I saw them last December. We had just left the 50's Primetime Cafe and walked down the street and there they were. I can't remember specifics, but I do remember thinking they were quite funny. We couldn't stay long because it was cold, cold, cold. But we did enjoy what we saw.

Yeah they play the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's rendition of "I Wan'na Be Like You" (Jungle Book) from the speakers of their truck a lot. They're real funny! :)

On my last couple of trips, I've always seen to see them where Hollywood Boulevard turns into Echo Lake over by Hollywood and Vine. They also were a part of the treelighting cerimony for the Osbourne Lights when I was there in December.

i have seen them several times.trying to repair a roof, pay their union dues, and a couple of others. they are always very funny.

Yeah, we saw them too. I agree that things like this really get unnoticed alot, but it does add to the special magic.

We saw them last year and they were great. Hope to see them again in a couple of weeks.

They are so funny. My DD12 loves them. Whenever we see them she makes me stop so we can watch. Last time they were doing a plunger throwing contest (kind of like darts). I don't recommend them if you need to use the restroom. We laughed so hard.

While we were waiting to be seated at the 50's Primetime Cafe, the workers came in at 5:15 or so and sat down at the bar talking about the day they had at work. The bartender knew them and even gave them their "usuals." It was quite funny.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these guys! The plunger throwing contest was the best! My DBF and I videotaped their whole schtick, and we love going back and watching it. They are so talented! We leave for WDW in 14 days, and I am so glad they have been spotted recently. They were never out on our trip in 2003.

I was standing looking at the Ride Info. board at MGM and wasn't paying attention.........but my daughter said a guy with a plunger attached to his face approached her and said "You have a bee on your head". How he knew she freaks out at bugs..I'll never know. Bee on her head? She was wearing a Boston Red Sox baseball cap ( you know, the one with a "B" on the front). He got her real good........too funny...........I'm sorry I missed it.

These guys are funny as heck, try to catch the plunger throwing contest if you can. In the afternoons they seem to be out and about on the half hour.

Thanks for the heads up. We'll definitely be looking for them now when we go next week. :goodvibes

Are these the same guys that squirt water? If so we saw them in June. We also seen these same guys in the lobby of the Great Movie Ride. They were standing behind the rope looking like wax figures(they remind me of the 3 stooges)& my youngest son just couldn't resist to touch. When he did the one that he touched said "what are you doing". My son about jumped out of his pants :rotfl: It was fun watching them trick other people as well.

Didnt get to see their whole routine, but I did see this guy throw a plunger at a metal trash can and make it stick.

I saw something like them at AK in May. Only they were dressed in paint uniforms, are these the same guys? :confused3
