Day 1, Part 9 In Which We Act Like Leonardo DiCaprio While Smelling Delicious
We paid, tipped, and made our way through the throngs of screaming Cinderella fans and stopped in the restroom.
I love when restrooms say something other than "Men" and "Women":
Okay, so this one just says Ladies! But my point is, lots of Disney bathrooms have things like that little Victorian woman on them. I love the ones outside of Boma and Jiko, that have a lion on the mens and a lioness on the womens too.
In the bathroom, there were two little girls brought to WDW by their Grandmother for their birthdays, and they were just the sweetest family I've ever met. The girls were dressed as princesses and had on the birthday buttons. The younger one, about 6, yelled "HI!" to us as soon as we walked in. She had a large purple welt on her face near her eye. I said to her "Hi, Princess! Happy Birthday!" She said thank you and proceeded to talk. And talk and talk and talk. It was adoooorable and I love kids, but damn did I have to pee. LOL! But she was so sweet that I stood and talked with her for quite awhile. She told me that she got the welt from running into a garbage can at Epcot. I didn't laugh, but I'm sorry - that's funny. She was one of the cutest kids I've ever met and I assured her that even with the welt, she was the most beautiful princess at Disney World. Toooo adorable.

Don't ask me why this is relevant. I just like my Mickey and Minnie wristlet and the bathrooms are nice.
On the way in we had passed Basin, which is a shop located immediately to your left when you walk into the GF from the monorail. It's kind of like a Bath and Body Works or The Body Shop, except WAY BETTER. There's also one in Downtown Disney. We headed up there to see if they were still open and they were!
"Make Your Own Soy Candle"... these, and everything else in there smelled AMAZING. I wanted to eat it, it was just amazing!
See? Doesn't that look goooooooood? It reminded me of Dippin Dots ice cream.
Sooo obsessed with the soaps! They should put tiny versions of these in the guest rooms at the GF, we decided!
If someone showed up at my wedding with this wedding soap, I would... leave whoever I married and marry THEM. I just love this store.
I MEAN WHO DOESN'T LOVE MONKEY SOAP. NOW COME ON
We then proceeded to test every single test item in there. Oiled up in a way that would rival Danny Zuko, we headed back downstairs because my mom wanted me to take photos of the old cars outside to show my dad, who loves them.
Of course "take pictures to show dad" very quickly turned into "climb into the back of the cars and pretend we're in the movie Titanic".
You know the part in Titanic where Jack and Rose uh.. hang out, in the back of that old car? We recited the lines in a very classy tone.
"Where to, miss?"
"To the stars!"
I mean, look. They left the doors open, so naturally they were inviting this kind of behavior. We had to do it.
Wouldn't you?
We creeped some people out but it's okay, cause we smelled fantastic. If we had smelled bad doing that, it just would have been too freaky.
As we headed back inside the GF and upstairs to the monorail in song ("My Heart Will Go On"), I took some pictures. I wish I had a better camera, but you still can see the prettiness!
We also, of course, discussed the Full House episode in which Becky is mad at Jesse so he plays the piano for her in the lobby of the GF and she stares lovingly at him from the balcony.
Sigh.
After a beautiful first night at Disney, we headed back to CBR for some MUCH needed rest.
