Just found this thread!! I can't wait, will be book March 2014 trip soon, dining reservations made!! Spring break here in Alabama! March 22-29 @ POP!
 
What ones had charged you?
Honestly, I can't even remember! I know CRT, for some reason I'm thinking CM's, maybe our F! Package, and pretty sure at least one more. It was $238.XX (I made 7 reservations, 5 of us but one is under 3).
 

Are there discounts that I am unaware of already for March?

I'm in AL, too (going spring break), and yes there is a room only discount out for those dates! I booked it earlier in the month for Disney Visa card holders but I think it has gone public now.

I made my ADRs a few weeks ago and today when I got my credit card bill had been charged for a few (like I expected). But I am curious, how does this work with the dining plan? Do I just get reimbursed after our trip? And what if we decide not to get the dining plan, do we just get charged the difference of our meal?

I thought the credit card was just for a hold and they didnt charge you unless you failed to show up. I did notice a $15 charge on my bill this month come to think of it. I didnt recognize the vender name.

Some places require you to pay in full at time of reservation. When I booked Cinderella's Royal Table, I had to pay for our dinner in full at the time of booking. When I reserved our dinner at BOG, I only had to put down my credit card to hold the reservation.

They shouldn't have charged your card if you've already purchased the DP, we've never been charged in advance before. I know they can credit your card once you are there, and if you call now they might be able to reverse it right away. I had a hard time last year getting the online ADR system to recognize our DP, it kept wanting to charge me. When I called they were able to do it with no problem.

So, we found out last night that our daughter's all-star cheer team will be competing at the UCA International Cheerleading Competition March 15-16. Since this is the weekend preceding the kids' Spring Break, we thought, "Hey! Why not turn this into an actual vacation?!" :rolleyes1

Will you please add us to the list for 3/14-21? We will be staying at Ft. Wilderness, although DD and I will stay the 1st 2 nights with her team at whichever AS resort they put us in for the competition.

And, for those of you who didn't know about the competition - you're welcome, and I'm sorry! :flower3: I will go ahead and promise in advance that neither I, nor my daughter, will be running up and down the hallways and/or pranking any other guests during our stay for the comp. :goodvibes

So, can anyone give me a quick update about FP+ and magic bands? When would I find out if we were eligible? I went onto MDE and the magic band,or whatever, link said to link something?! Sorry I am so vague, I just can't remember. Do I need to go ahead and link stuff? If it is in full swing by March will everyone, even those not staying at Disney resorts, be using it, limited to only 3 fast passes a day?

We were at WDW last Feb and there were cheerleaders all over the place, but they never bothered us. :)

Here is some info:

Everyone should create an MDE account. It is easiest if one family member creates and manages one account for everyone in the family. Link your resort reservations to your account. If you make ADR's through your MDE account, your meal reservation should link right up. If or when you purchase tickets, link them to your account, too. When you are approximately 60 days out from check in you will be able to make fp+ reservations for every day that you have tickets. At some point you will be able to customize MagicBands. So far most guests through December have been able to customize the bands. Disney has started sending out emails to invite resort guests to participate in the MyMagic+ tests. I just received my email today for our Nov 30th stay, which is about 35 days from check in. The email makes it clear that it is a test. But you won't be able to customize the MB's until the words "Manage bands and cards" changes to personalize MagicBands in your MDE account.

I really don't know what it will be like by March. Disney is still designing the system. I'm keeping my eye on the progress of the program since we are going in only 35 days. :)
