In 2011 they offered free admission to any single park if you ran the marathon. I am not sure if it was to get more people to run the full or to get those that did run the full to stay an extra day.

LAST year it sold out early in September. I remember because I was going off line/out of the country Aug 28 and my son really wanted to do it, me not so much, but I signed us up around Aug 26 and when I got home September 22 it was sold out. Not sure about other years

Are they just lowering the max amt of ppl that could do this? Last year there was about 18,000 or so in the full more or less...perhaps they lowered the number...for whatever reasons.

Even if they kept the total number of marathon runners the same, a new chunk was taken out of it by the spaces reserved for the Dopey runners, so the number of stand-alone marathon spots would be lower. It could just be a popular year for marathons - I mean, Space Coast already sold out (for Thanksgiving weekend) - last year I registered for it in August and it was in no danger of selling out at that time.

i wanted to run the half but i already missed my chance i was told it sells out way later than it usually does and there is no chance im paying for goofy to run the half
