Back in October 1998 Rob and I went to Epcot. We were so excited about going on the new Test Track. We got to Epcot before they were letting people through the turnstiles. We were the first in line there. Then they let us in and we sprinted for the next rope drop near Innoventions on the way to Test Track. A male CM was talking to guests but Rob & I didn't bother listening to him. :hyper: Something about when Test Track opened ... blah blah.

Okay, rope drops and Rob and I start walking really fast, along with another couple toward Test Track. We notice that no one else is heading our way. What's up with that? Suckers! We're gonna be the first ones!

As we near Test Track there are a bunch of official looking people just sitting there with a big banner overhead that gave the official opening date. Wha the fah-lip???! :worried:

It wasn't even open. Boy did we feel stupid. So we mosied on over to Horizons and rode that. Anyone remember that? We have just about the entire thing on video ...

And that's my story.
:confused3 What's Horizons???

And Buzz--you got in a fist fight at a Christmas party??? Details now!!

And you guys look great all gussied up! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

It's not too good of a story but here goes.

We were both having parties at the golf club and later in the evening, karaoke started up and both parties mixed together. He ended up singing a song and I stood next to him and started singing along with him (much to my own amusement).

Well, apparently, he didn't appreciate it but instead of asking me to stop, he swung the microphone at my head.

Next thing you know, we've knocked over the karaoke table and are rolling around on the dance floor in our suits. Two pillars of the community going to blows. I believe it made the front page of our newspaper.

Anyway, after the fight, we ended up at the bar buying each other drinks and apologizing. We ended up doing business together for a short period when he fired our banker (who we hired as our CFO) and that banker switched us to a new bank with a better deal (1/2 pt below prime).

That's my Christmas Party "Fight" story. ::yes::

Nice party photos. Who knew you cleaned up so nice in a tux? Besides the wedding that is. We all know that Linnie looks fine though! :thumbsup2

The lights from the window are very pretty. How high up is that place?

And, great fight story. Now, the real question ... Do you remember what song you were singing?

This is a friend who I hired to take my sales territory 9 years ago when I was moved inside to Corporate.

I didn't know Curt Schilling did double duty as a salesperson.

Not too shabby looking there Buzz. And of course Linnie is looking very good.

A couple weeks ago I went to what was probably the most boring holiday party ever. We sat around waiting for the owners to arrive. Then when they did arrive almost 45 min late they had to parade around the entire venue before we could form the buffet line. So about an hour and a half after dinner was supposed to have started we got to eat. Then came the speeches and then the after dinner cocktails. And even though we got tickets for two free drinks from the bar they were only good for beer, wine, and soda. Dangit I wanted me a Cosmopolitan. I hightailed it out of there before the dancing started...I was bored out of my mind.

LtP with my CFO who was our banker for years until he joined us.

It was a good night. We came home at 10pm. The earliest I've ever been home.

Linnie, you look great! Lovely necklace! :thumbsup2 Oh, and is that the infamous pashmina??

Errr...Buzz, you look very nice too. :)

Actually, you look great. :thumbsup2

Uh, the first one. I never forget the bra- that would be suicide. :scared:

I know how you feel:sad2:

.
Speaking of blobs, Buzz is still in bed (typical on a Saturday for him). But he behaved himself last night. Trey's speech therapist at school-her husband works for Buzz so they were at the Christmas party and sat by us. I worked overtime to make sure Buzz minded his p's and q's. He started to tell the story of how he wound up naked in the hallway in a Vegas hotel but I put the kibosh on that. :scared: No one needs to hear that!!

Oh no, we need to hear this story!

Except for us ... we need to hear it! Really we do. :flower3:

See, what she said:thumbsup2

See what happens when you don't listen to instructions:rolleyes1 :lmao:

We loved horizons:goodvibes

Not quite naked. I had my underwear on plus one black sock. :rolleyes1

Oh we definitely need to hear this story:cool2:

A few years ago, I got in a fist fight at the Christmas party with the owner of a local bank who was also having a party at the time. A story for another time. :thumbsup2

We need to hear this story toopirate:

You guys looked great at the party. Buzz, you clean up really nicely and Linnie you look lovely as usual. I know what you mean about all th ekid germs. I think Jim is immune to everything - he has been teaching for 18 years and never get sick..me I catch everything:headache:

I have been hooked on this thread all day :goodvibes
I read all the hot links, then had to read almost all the pages :surfweb:
I couldn't stop
I laughed so hard I was just about to....well you know:rolleyes1

Great Party Pictures! Linnie, Your necklace is beautiful! Looked like you guys had a nice time...wont say "GREAT" because a "nice" time fits a company party for a company President and his lovley wife. And a DINNER jacket too boot! :snooty: Thanks for posting the party pictures! :goodvibes ED.......

Well, I've returned from a lovely WDW trip (with the exception of Magic Kingdom parades) and now I get to catch up on trip reports. I see you've been busy!

I may have to post some bits and pieces of our trip - namely the near altercation in MK. I will, however, refrain from doing so in your thread!

It appears that we're going to be returning to WDW in October. Based on our respective fall breaks and my schedule, it looks like it'll be the 12th-17th so we can catch the F&WF and maybe MNSSHP. I just have to hunt down some DVC points for our stay and we'll be golden. :hippie:

Once I get caught up and more coherent (Advil Cold and Sinus just turns me into a zombie), I'll comment more. Have a great Christmas in the meantime, folks! :santa:

Hey everyone. Merry Christmas!

I'm gonna be a little too busy the next 48 hours. So have a safe and healthy(cough, linnie) holiday! Wishing you everything you wish for yourself.

Well, things are starting to busy up here
and I'm not sure how much I'll be on before Christmas.
Then I won't be on until maybe Saturday/Sunday.
So, let me wish you all now ...

I guess the banner was a big hit. Whew. They were glad I made the cutouts and I think they turned out nice. I went around some with glitter and really tried to make it look nice. LA's got a case of the stage fright and doesn't want to be in the program tonight. I don't think I'll force her-I didn't make Trey.

I really want to tear into those gifts!! I am hoping to convince Buzz to let the kids open just one tonight. My parents always let me open one early. And I turned out ok! ;)

I'm feeling even better now! No more stomach nausea, but my throat is still awry. I can feel a bump in there-I think I either have mono or strep, but I was tested for strep a few weeks ago and it was negative. So I either caught it since then or I got the dreaded mono. I had that when I was a teen and felt exactly like I do now. Anyway, I'm taking it easy the next week. Nothing but jigsaw puzzles and crocheting.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!! Thank you for participating in our TR. You've given us many laughs over the past few months and we are really enjoying getting to know everyone and sharing our antics. If we can make someone smile or laugh, well, that's what it's all about!! See you again in a few days!! :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:
