I always get in on these trip reports late... but yours are always hysterical... so I wade patiently through 2.4 million pages so I can sit here and laugh like a hyena and get dirty looks from DH and DD who don't quite understand how the DIS boards could be quite that funny

We go to Cosmic Rays every visit. Each person gets a selection of what they like, and the food is actually pretty good!

I LOVE Cosmic Ray's!! They had the best glazed carrots-but this time they didn't have them-we got beans or something. anyway, I love that place!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! I"m still sick, but slowly (and with the help of Dayquil) getting better. I think it's from working in LA's classroom and being around the kids like that. I remember when I first started teaching-I caught everything. Then I toughened up and I can't remember the last time I was sick. Now I'm getting sick all the time again. And I'm around all those kids again. But that won't stop me. I love kids and being in her classroom reminds me of how much I miss teaching. I really look forward to being there-it's worth getting sick.

I'm going out to get more medicine today and I promised LA some Junie B. books so that is all that is on the agenda for today. I'm just gonna lay around and blob out.

Speaking of blobs, Buzz is still in bed (typical on a Saturday for him). But he behaved himself last night. Trey's speech therapist at school-her husband works for Buzz so they were at the Christmas party and sat by us. I worked overtime to make sure Buzz minded his p's and q's. He started to tell the story of how he wound up naked in the hallway in a Vegas hotel but I put the kibosh on that. No one needs to hear that!!

Trey's speech therapist at school-her husband works for Buzz so they were at the Christmas party and sat by us. I worked overtime to make sure Buzz minded his p's and q's. He started to tell the story of how he wound up naked in the hallway in a Vegas hotel but I put the kibosh on that. No one needs to hear that!!

I remember on opening day of Space Mountain in Disneyland (back in the day) I was in a line that began OUTside of Tomorrowland There was news crews and everything...course I was just a fetus at the time.

We've always sprinted to Space Mountain at rope drop. It's tradition. Till I had kids...then it's like herding cats.

And, my impression of Space Mountain with the lights on is it is FILTHY!

Them are some suh-weet stretchy shorts, Buzz. Very comfy and practical.

Oh yeah, sweet, practical, comfy, and probably smelt to high heaven. Sorry, I know how badly one sweats in Florida. And what with the carb-fest and resulting gas, I'm fairly certain they were not exactly fresh as a daisy.

Whatever gets you on the rides faster, I always say.

The "gas" was taken care of in an earlier post. Remember? Loose Stool?

Thank you. At least you're not making fun of my stretchy shorts. LG was 5 when she went on it and loved it. I held on to MB with my arms from behind and LtP did the same with LA. Not that we could have prevented anything. It just felt good to do that.

OMG. I did not get this at first but this morning I reread it and giggled pretty hard. The mental picture is hysterical.

Back in October 1998 Rob and I went to Epcot. We were so excited about going on the new Test Track. We got to Epcot before they were letting people through the turnstiles. We were the first in line there. Then they let us in and we sprinted for the next rope drop near Innoventions on the way to Test Track. A male CM was talking to guests but Rob & I didn't bother listening to him. Something about when Test Track opened ... blah blah.

Okay, rope drops and Rob and I start walking really fast, along with another couple toward Test Track. We notice that no one else is heading our way. What's up with that? Suckers! We're gonna be the first ones!

As we near Test Track there are a bunch of official looking people just sitting there with a big banner overhead that gave the official opening date. Wha the fah-lip???!

It wasn't even open. Boy did we feel stupid. So we mosied on over to Horizons and rode that. Anyone remember that? We have just about the entire thing on video ...

And that's my story.

For those who asked, here are few shots of the Christmas Part. We had 60 people attend from our distribution facility and corporate HQ. It was fun, but I had to behave because one of my employees is married to MB's speech therapist who sat right next to LtP.

Buzz couldn't be "Buzz".

LtP is all "dolled" up. Sick? Oh well, pour the wine!

This is a friend who I hired to take my sales territory 9 years ago when I was moved inside to Corporate.

LtP with my CFO who was our banker for years until he joined us.


It was a good night. We came home at 10pm. The earliest I've ever been home.

A few years ago, I got in a fist fight at the Christmas party with the owner of a local bank who was also having a party at the time. A story for another time.
