True story --

a college roommate of mine had a stick of butter in the fridge that NO ONE else was to touch...

When she had a bad day she would come in, take a bit off the stick of butter and put it back. :scared1: NO JOKE.

It was the most horrific thing I have ever seen.

Until now.:rotfl: :rotfl2: :laughing:

If you go to the first page I've posted links to a lot of pictures that are already buried in this thread.

Or, if there are specific picture you want to see, I've probably got it.

Here's a pic of LtP eating butter straight off the plate. :banana:

All these talks of butter lured me out of my lurkdom.:surfweb: When I was in Middle school, I used to make "butter dogs". I would quarter a stick of butter lengthwise, and put one on a hot dog bun. Good stuff!:thumbsup2

LOL...maybe this is a Long Island thing. When I was in middle school, my favorite sandwich was mayo on white bread with one little piece of lettuce. On days when there wasn't any lettuce in the fridge, I just made a mayo sandwich. We love our dairy products, mmmm!!

Ya hear that, Buzz and Linnie.....butter dogs...sounds Fry Daddy worthy to me.:thumbsup2

Btw, Linnie, love the pic of you eating the butter!

My mom came over today, then the curtain lady, then I had to run to LA's school to drop off cupcakes, go to the store to buy lunch stuff for the kids that I forgot to buy yesterday, gymnastics and a neighbor kid came over to play. This is what happens when I leave these boards for a brief time: I find out I was in the mood last night (in the mood for what I don't know-we watched tv and went to bed early) and then there's these crazy eating pictures of me posted.

I am exhausted just reading this.....................

I didn't know that one of me eating butter existed. :eek:

I believe this calls for payback......

Do your schools allow homemade or do they have to be store bought? Just curious. We have to have store bought stuff here. Not that I mind as I'm not a baker.
[/COLOR]

Slight hijack....Dm, at Jimmy's old school they had to be homemade because all the store bought stuuf have peanut allergy warnings, but at his new school we can get store bought ones!

Well, where is itpopcorn::

Linnie, you are such a good sport--these last few pages had me laughing out loud! I would throttle my DH if he had pictures of me eating!:rotfl:
By the way, I saw an episode of Paula Deen's food network show (Paula's Party?) where she made deep fried butter!:happytv:

LOL!! :banana: :banana: :banana:

Quite the contrary blue-ster. I'm taking it up a notch! Next trippie should be out tonight. :banana: :banana:

It's titled, "I wrestle a syphilitic bear."

Oh, this is a trip report too! I thought it was an insightful & comical Thread about a cute husband and wife team!

Join us on our next episode of "Everybody Loves Buzz" :rotfl: :rotfl2:

They can be either homemade or store bought. I just bought them. I didn't feel like baking. I do love to bake & cook, but just wasn't in the mood. I found some cute cupcakes that had white frosting with Halloween colored sprinkles and spider rings on them. Hope they liked them.

I've gotta try that deep fried butter!!!

What are the kids dressing as?

What are the kids dressing as?

LA is going as Princess Daisy from Super Mario-her idea. So I got a Cinderella dress pattern and turned it into a Daisy dress. She loves it and is wearing it around the house all the time! The nut.

Trey does not want to go trick or treating. In our town, there is a stretch of houses that are incredible-they go all out with decorations-it's really hard to describe. It's not just decorations, but they kind of transform their houses into things like the Bates Motel or a cemetery. My brother and mom wanted us to see it 2 years ago so I took the kids over there and it was almost like a Disney attraction-people were lined up 20 deep or more just to trick or treat these houses. I don't know if it scared Trey (it was scary-they even had the music from that scary show Halloween blaring. Just hearing that song scares me!). Or if it was a lot of walking, but he started crying and I forced him to go to a few more houses. yeah, I'm a good mom. By the end of the night he and I were both miserable. So now he doesn't like Halloween and doesn't want to go out. Or even dress up.

Little does he know, I got a costume for him (last year after Halloween, I got it on sale for 90 cents!) It's a very warm poncho like thing made of white fleece and the hood is a friendly smiley ghost. So he's going out tonight. As a ghost. We're going to ease him back into trick or treating and we're staying away from that scary part of town. Even though, it is really really cool! My brother and mom are doing it again. They love it.

And I'm going as a witch! I made this costume several years ago and because I'm so creative, I'm a witch every year. :confused: :confused3 Actually, I love the shoes-I'd wear them all the time they're so comfortable! Except their pointy and curl up at the end. Might look a little strange with my sweats...:rolleyes1

Go for it! People eat fried cheese and fried ice cream, why not fried butter?:cool1: You will find them all under the "Fried Dairy" section of th Official Fry Daddy Cookbook.

Hey Linnie, the kids costumes sound great! I love how your daughter got creative with the princess theme! Good luck with your son tonite.hopefully everything will turn out fine and he`ll enjoy it! :thumbsup2

~ The Man Report ~ ~ Audible Grunts & the Crowd Clearing Device ~

Ok, here’s the deal.

You have GOT to make the rope drop every morning. Quit laughing, I’m serious. :mad:

The rule is: If you’re there longer than a week, you’re allowed one day to sleep in.

If you’re there longer than two weeks, you need to realign your priorities. :sad2:

Day 1, Park 1… Epcot Baby!

It’s Monday, Oct 8th, which is a holiday of some sort. Not sure what, but a CM tells me they expect a crowd level of 8 today. Could be Canadian Thanksgiving. :confused3

We wake up at precisely 7:49 a.m. to my alarm clock. Remember, we’re off-site until Friday so we don’t get the Mickey wake up call. :mad:

I jump up and start sounding the bugle. Charge!!!!!!! :pirate:

The first thing I do is stumble over my flip flops while heading to the bathroom, crack my toe into the corner of the door jamb, and let out an expletive: “Rat-Fart”!!!

I do my “thing” in the bathroom, jump in the shower, towel off, and groom my thick crop of hair.

I’m ready!! :banana: Time to survey the progress of my men.

Lin’s still in bed, Moan Boy’s on the outside balcony, and there’s no sign of Loud Girl anywhere.

It doesn’t look good. :mad:

“Let’s Go Troops!!! …We’re burnin’ daylight!!”

Lin finally makes a barely audible grunt, then rolls off the side of the bed and onto her feet.

I find Loud Girl in the kitchen gnawing on an uncooked Pop-Tart, fully dressed, with the backpack on. She’s ready to go.

I nod my approval. ::yes::

I go out on the deck and give MB a kick in the butt to get him fired up. He heads towards him room to get dressed.

I hear LtP brushing her tooth in our bathroom so I’ve got two ready, and two almost ready. I look at my watch: It’s 8:10 a.m.

We’re on time.

I nod my approval. ::yes::

I open the fridge and get me a hunk of salami and wrap it around some string cheese. Breakfast. :headache:

By 8:25, the crew is ready. We’ve got our backpack w/ water & supplies, and head out the door to our rental car.

In our family, Loud Girl picks the rental car. This year she chose a maroon Toyota Highlander. Looked fine to me.

Only problem was the sun roof was busted and wouldn’t shut. No sign of rain. No problem. :banana:

I imagine getting to Epcot from Cypress will take 20 minutes. It takes less than 10. Uh oh. Timing is now off. Not good with handicapped son. He can make a 10 minute wait at the turnstiles seem like an hour.

We’ll have to walk slooooowwww…

There’s a small gauntlet near security which I expertly navigate.

We go in thru the turnstiles, over to the stroller rental, and purchase 11 days worth of usage. $144!!!!! Yikes!! Not even a “kiss”!

Ok, ok. No time to brood. Off to the rope-drop.

My stroller is now a dual use vehicle.

Use 1 – Transport Children with ease

Use 2 – Weapon and Crowd Clearing Device

Even though there’s a crowd at the rope, I’m able to drive a wedge thru the throng and get us right up next to the rope.

I nod my approval. ::yes::

Lin’s embarrassed for some reason. I’m oblivious and enjoying the pre-opening entertainment.

As the rope drops, my eyes glaze over with a sort of film you might see in a wounded badger protecting her young.

My knuckles whiten on the grips of the stroller as I steer us towards Test Track and up & over what I think might have been a small child.

I’m now in a frenzied state as competition seethes through my O positive blood. Must…. Be… First…

Yes, I clipped a few Achilles tendons. Maybe ran over a child or squirrel. And most definitely garnered disapproving frowns from various CM’s.

I’m the guy you love to hate. :smokin:

Due to not allowing us to run and having to wait on the children to dismount the stroller, we arrive at Test Track in about 15th place. But first among all stroller laden families.

I nod my approval. ::yes::

We enter the attraction with great haste and anticipation.

Next Up: Brandishing a blade, Marie from Aristocats takes a swipe at me.

A few pix:

Hmm… looks busy over there… must GAT to another line

WDW2007-047.JPG

Ahh… Much Better

Hurry Up You Rubes!!

mmmm… Giant Cheese…

Little kids, squirrels? It's all good! My opinion is they shouldn't have got in the way.

I thought it would be Soarin first though. Tough call. I love them both.

Nice Job Buzz! Way to get that family where they need to be.:thumbsup2

MB "needs" Test Track like the rest of us "need" food. :sad2: We get it out of the way first so we can enjoy the day.

You have raised her well.

Sounds like my brothers.:headache:
