Procure Pics, Pretty Please!!!

I've got a TON of pix. Lin DID sit in the front row then stood up on her bench when he got near. He almost started laughing right in the middle of the song!! :rotfl2:

The pic with "loud girl" passed out with the alcohol was HILARIOUS.

It's hard for us to keep Loud Girl out of the "sauce". I've got another one of her with underwear on her head and a glass of wine in her hand. :sad2:

No! I'm not nuts. Look closely. The squirrel is down on the left hand side of the pot to my left. Just his head is sticking out. Jeeez... You guys are blind!!

Awesome! I'm so glad they enjoyed it. Did you find all of them?

Yes, we found them all. It wasn't easy on some of them.

Any good?

::yes::

Buzz - I've read your older reports and you mention extensive traveling (like looking into a mirror for DH) and owning your own business (he works for 'the man'). I'm sure you've addressed this before, but I've always wondered what it is exactly that you do for a living.

Oh, oh! I have this one!!

Buzz travels near and far smelling cheese. He is a "Cheese Smeller"!! Secretly he works for Velveeta, but goes on undercover missions to find "different" ways of making and selling cheese, then reports back.

I really believe the can thing was his idea.

No knives or boards are used, enabling the drinker to eat cheese without causing major injury to self or others.

Way to go Buzz, way to go:thumbsup2 !

Actually, I've never mentioned anything about it except for the extensive travel.

My father started a wholesale distribution company 30 years ago. He brought me on 15 years ago when I finished college to train me to take over for him someday. I'm now President of the company while my father still works on a limited basis and serves as Chairman of the Board.

We have a ton of fun together and have grown the business substantially over the years. Next week, after I get back from vacation with the family, I go golfing with my father in Phoenix all week. I don't work much in October. :confused3

Most of my travel is due to visiting large customers at our various distribution facilities. I also spend a lot time visiting the various factories around the world that we do business with.

It's all fun but gets old.

I could keep on going about this for a long time. It's my life and I love talking about it.

Thanks for asking!

I wish!!!

It all sounds interesting, that's for sure. I'm intrigued by people who own (or essentially own) their own business. Although it's tough, I'm sure, it would seem to be very rewarding because you get to directly reap the rewards of your efforts. If you don't mind me asking, what products do you distribute? It sounds like you're a 'middle man' between the manufacturer and the end retailer. Is that about right?

What do Lin and the kids think about all the travel? At first I hated DH traveling all the time, but over time I got used to it. I still hate it when he gets to go fun places (Las Vegas, New Orleans, New York, Anaheim) and don't mind nearly as much when he has to go not-so-fun places (Boise, Lubbock). No offense to anyone from those places. :)

I think it's because they can get stronger proof beer. That's the only thing I can figure out!

That is a good point DM!!! :thumbsup2

I've always traveled so the family is used to it. It's "normal".

We distribute Water/Oil/Gas Drilling products as well as Irrigation and Landscaping products to contractors all over the Rocky Mountains and Pacific Northwest.

The rewarding part is steering the ship. Not having to micro-manage. It's nice to find really good people and then turn them loose and see what they do. They don't always do it like I would, but most of the time the results are excellent.

Hey Goof-let's hear your story!!!

David Cassidy was AWESOME!! I don't want to give too much away but I did stand up on the bench and nearly cracked him up. He still looks good and it made me feel like a kid again. So amazing. I had such a GOOD time!!!!! You'll have to wait to hear the details though and there are plenty. I really let loose last nght!!!

Buzz's traveling doesn't bother me. We have a great alarm system and the cops drive by often (not because of us). It's a safe neighborhood. As far as traveling goes and our relationship-I think it enhances it. After a few weeks at home, it's not uncommon to find me asking Buzz, "When do you leave town again????" :confused3

My dad traveled 5 days a week. He started as a mailman, but worked up into management-something he was always very proud of-for "a kid that didn't graduate from high school" (he got a GED from the air force). So I was used to the father figure being gone a lot. My grandpa drove truck and was gone a lot too. My brother used to travel a lot. I think it's something we've just always accepted in our family. The kids miss Dad when he's gone, but we're always happy to see him when he gets back. It gives me time to work on my messy projects and slob up the house while he's gone.

I can't believe we're leaving in 2 days... I'm so sad.... :sad1:

I always laugh at Buzz and his family (for more reasons than one) but one being that they hire things done. My family comes from a very, very hard working ethic and our motto is "If you can do it yourself, you do it." About 35 years ago, our house had a crack in the foundation and my dad dug a trench about 6 feet deep and 4 feet wide all around our house until he found the crack, fixed it and filled the dirt back in. A lot of work, but typical of our family.

I've done lots of odd jobs around the house that have shocked Buzz that I know how to do, including replacing a toilet, mud & taping walls, painting, fixing window rot etc. I inherited my dad's very first tool belt and use it well, although he was much skinnier than me. A 28 inch waist-something I dream of....

There is nothing wrong with hiring jobs done, but it's just in my blood to do the work myself. I wash the car in the driveway instead of taking it to the car wash. I mow the lawn instead of hiring it done. I do the ironing instead of hiring it. I plant the plants instead of calling the gardener. I clean my own house. And you know what? I feel great when it's done. I love working hard and doing a good job. :sad2:

I like to complain a lot too, but I do love to work hard. Buzz's family? Not so much. They are definitely not the sort to get their hands dirty and that's ok. It makes for interesting comparisons and jokes. He calls my family "rubes, rednecks and hillbillies" and I guess we probably are. We're just who we are and we probably aren't going to change. I call his family the "Beverly Hillbillies." They're just like my family-only with money. And a tendency to hire everything done...

Why am I pointing this out? I don't know. Just a little background info. I guess. And the fact that I"m not on the computer nearly as much as I'd like to be, but that'll change once I get home. 2 days.... :sad1:

Hey Linnie! Thanks for checking in! Whatya have to do to grab the laptop? (on second thought maybe we dont want to know :cutie: ) Cant wait to see the pictures from last nite! hint.hint....:rolleyes1 Disney and David Cassidy, what could be better?! Disney and Tim Mcgraw!:cool1:
2 days will go by verrrry slow..You guys will be back soon! then more fun TRS! btw: Hire things done? is that a midwestern phrase?

Uh..., Montana ain't the MID-west, it is the west:banana:
