First, great update!! :cool1:

Then I wake up. :sad2:
Yup, could only be in your dreams. :rolleyes1

“Dad!. Mom says to get your butt out of bed and clean up your mess in the kitchen.”.
But of course. We expected nothing less. LtP is NOT going to clean up that much of a mess.

“I know, I know. I had a little late night snack”. I justify. “It’s vacation”!
Don't we all! :thumbsup2

Any of you who have driven to MK know about the hassles involved. Park in the lot, jump on the tram, exit the tram, walk 100 yards to the Monorail, wait in line, board the monorail, elbow your way to a seat, then ride it to MK. It’s a 45-minute adventure, fraught with peril & not fun.
You should ride the boat! Add another 15 minutes. :sad2:

Once Walt keeled over, Disney Imagineers were allowed to be more practical and put parking areas NEXT to theme parks… a novel idea. If Walt was around for the unveiling of Epcot, parking might have been located somewhere in the Downtown Disney area.
Yeah, but maybe then the monorail would've gone everywhere throughout the park.

You don’t get Disney’s Unofficial Guide?!? For shame!! That’s like showing up for a gunfight armed with a toenail clipper. You gotta think people!!
Guide is gud! :woohoo:

I race through the throng, alone & unfettered, and am FIRST to receive my stroller. I know the tricks and am able to GAT by a couple hundred Ip-Dips who haven’t done enough studying (and aren’t aware of the UoG).
Your skilz are amazing! ;)

I sidle up to the smiling female CM holding one end of the rope, give her a glorious smile (that won me the woman of my dreams) and offer her a bribe.

“I’ll give you this “Skippy” doll if you give us a head start”.

She laughed out loud and so did another female CM standing close by.

“I’m actually considering that”, she says, “those Skippy dolls are rare!”
I'm surprised she didn't go for it right away, with your mad smile and all! :lmao:

Without beer to stimulate my brain, I’m in for a long day. :sad2: Oh, how I miss Epcot.
Oh yeah. At least maybe some wine in a few of the restaurants.

After an hour of traveling, fighting crowds, plus two consecutive trips around Splash Mountain, I’m ready for the commode facility and a little alone time. Buzz likes his alone time. ::yes::
Ewww, way TMI!

I have the Unofficial Guide. Where did you find the crowd levels? On the site? I'll have to go see what they say.
I've been spending all my time reading what ol' Mike has to say. :lmao:

Yes it's on the website. It used to be "in" the guide, but they took it out. Guess the book got too big. I've purchased this UoG every year since 1996. It used to be half the size.

DM, thanks.

dismorgh, I've been on that MK transportation boat once... once! :sad2:

potd
This was on Oct 8 around 2 ish:idea:

Just found this pic on the POTD thread! Were you guys there that day? why on earth is it that busy?!! IN OCTOBER?! Theres a girl to the left in the middle of the picture with blonde hair that looks like it could be Linnie,,but I dont think it is,:confused3 Well off to the coop to hang up the stockings for the chickens! (they believe too ya know:santa: )

Yes carrieannie, we were there that day. However, we were slurping beer poolside by this time. I have NO IDEA why it was so crowded. We usually leave the parks every day around 1pm.

Is that Epcot? We were at MK on the 8th.

So, Buzz, when do you leave? We're leaving on Friday morning and wouldn't you know it, guess who's gone and caught herself a cold??? :sad2: I'm just hoping that I can get rid of it before we leave. Of course, with two sick kids, Mom always catches it too.

I haven't even had time to think about packing, getting my house cleaned up for the inlaws to come or anything. All I really want to do is sleep, but I can't let the three year old have the run of the house... that would be bad! :scared:

Anyway, I've got to get to posting on my pre-trippy before we leave in only 4 DAYS!!!!!!! :cool1:

YIKES! On those crowds!!! :scared1:
So, my days say crowd level of 7/6s the whole time. Is that good? I mean, gud? It doesn't sound so gud to me! :sad2: I followed TGM with picking my parks, and only one is opposite of UG. :thumbsup2

Why do you buy the book each year? Don't you have it memorized yet? I read the snot out of it over the summer, and now I'm picking it up a little again.

All I really want to do is sleep, but I can't let the three year old have the run of the house... that would be bad! :scared:/QUOTE]

While I was sick a couple of weeks ago, I made this mistake...feeling so rotten I just sat down to rest ... next thing I know, I come to with a start about an hour later and find that DD 2 1/2 decided to feed the dogs, xtra lrg bag of dogfood all over floor.....thought that my lipstick would look great on her stuffed kitty, and for some reason, the vaseline should be painted all over the toilet seat:scared1: ...I won't bother you with the details of how I discovered the last...but let it be known, that vaseline is clear and well, men don't look before they plant their butt:lmao:

What ever you do, DO FALL ASLEEP!

I hope you meant DON'T fall asleep!

I didn't. She must be feeling better after one dose of antibiotic because she was her normal crazy self this afternoon. I'm just hoping I can put them to bed early and get some sleep tonight.

So, my daughter didn't do anything bad today, but my dog did! While we were out, I had left groceries still in bags on the floor. I thought I had put away all the stuff that he could get into, but when we returned home, I discovered that the dog had ripped open a bag of bread and had eaten about half of it! He's never done anything like this before (and he's almost 9 years old). He must have been hungry! :confused3

Oh well, the cleanup job wasn't anything compared to yours..... :rotfl:

No Mr UoG! It looks like Liberty Square,, and it was Columbus Day,,prolly why thats why it was so "Holy Busy Batman! this place is packed!" :cool2:

Well, first off, I am sick AGAIN!! WTH??!!!:confused3 I feel absolutely rotten right now and MB is yelling in my ear about bedtime with LG jumping up and down and screaming something about Yoda. Lucky Me.

So let's get to my version of events, otherwise known as the truth.

My Geek Husband said:
My loving family wakes me up with a wondrous Mickey carol sung in perfect harmony. Although I’m not first up to clean my mess, I find my loving wife has done so without complaint. All participants are ready and waiting for me to take them to the Magic Kingdom.

They graciously wait on me hand and foot. Feeding me grapes as I peruse the morning’s paper. After my long hot shower, they clip my toenails, shave my scraggy face, and dress me in the day’s outfit.

In the kitchen a full breakfast awaits. Coffee, tea, OJ, eggs, bacon and ham steak. They await in silence as I finish the sports section and nibble slowly on my delicious breakfast.

Nice fantasy Buzz. Will never happen-especially the part about clipping toe nails. I stay away from them feet. :sad2:

Actually, I think what I said was something to the effect of "Dad is a big butt head."

After cleaning both kitchen & living room, we’re ready to hit MK. LtP is giving me “the look” as we climb into the rental car.

“I know, I know. I had a little late night snack”. I justify. “It’s vacation”!

“Uh huh”, was her only response.

I don't remember that.

MDF said:

She laughed out loud and so did another female CM standing close by.

“I’m actually considering that”, she says, “those Skippy dolls are rare!”

She did look like she was considering it-the other CM reminded her, "Cast members don't take bribes!" Kind of a funny moment. Besides, I ain't parting with my Skippy.

MDF said:
Splash is open and we’re among the first 15 to ride it. In fact, we rode it twice. I’m not sure I even like this attraction any more. The song is as annoying as Small World’s and there’s really only a 7 second thrill during the entire 9-minute ride. With the advent of 3D shows, it’s hard for me to get worked up over the 60-year-old technology that Disney calls, animatronics.

Plus, they made it wetter as you can tell by my shirt. Our log stopped for a second shortly after we boarded and a big sprayer hosed us down. I got the brunt of it. And that lactating comment was uncalled for Buzz!

I do not chastise Buzz for this unscheduled stop. I remember all too clearly my episodes the previous spring and fall so I really do not think it's the right time.

Next up: Buzz alone in the bathroom --All heck breaks loose.

Linnie, I hope you are better very soon. I love hearing your version of things. Somehow I think yours is just a bit closer to the truth :confused3 . Can't wait to hear more from both of you!!
