WWYD? 14 nights, 4 moves or 3 moves?

Hi all! So I just realized my July 1-4 reservation cannot be merged with my July 4-11 because they are different room categories

So now I’m on a mission to reconfigure my summer trip. I was able to snag a room at BCV on July 2 a few days ago, and another room on July 1 just today! I’m so happy. Hoping the gods smile upon me and I can grab July 3 but just in case here are my two opens—

Wondering btwn the two options, WWYD and why? I bow respectfully to the great Disney minds of disboards….

FIRST OPTION:
4 nights poly
2 nights BCV
1 night BWV p/g
7 nights BWV std

SECOND OPTION:
4 nights poly
3 nights BWV p/g
7 nights BWV std

Obviously if I’m able to somehow catch July 3 at BCV, then I can do all 3 nights at BCV (instead of 2, then moving after just one night).

I’ve waitlisted July 3, in addition to stalking, for BCV.

I’ve also waitlisted July 1-4 for BWV std, but the likelihood of that is probably small. Then I can merge all the days at BWV and not move at all. Fingers crossed for both waitlist options coming through!

Anyways, any thought? Thanks! I’m super excited for our summer trip!

I personally hate split stays, so if it was me, I would move as little as possible.

It seems like it would be a lot of fun, but when you’re in it and realize a large part of your day is spent on the move, suddenly it seems like a waste of a vacation day.

I agree that less moves is preferred. 3 moves across a 14 day stay seems doable, though. Packing, unpacking, and repacking gets tiresome.

OP, I'd lean towards doing the 3 move option, not the 4 move. Will you have a car? In our experience, we have moved our luggage ourselves when moving resorts and just left our stuff with bell services at the new resort. We've also used Disney's luggage transport. Just make sure you have everything you might need that day on hand and not in your luggage!

If it were me, I would go to BWV-P/G now for those three nights, and then put in a waitlist request for the same three nights---one for BWV Std, and one for the other option of your choice. If the first one comes through, it reduces your moves even more.

agree with Brian here! This is what I recommend too. I had the same thought about BCV. Not worth it for a 4 resort split stay. Too many moves.

How bad do you wanna stay at BCV?

So the 1 night at BWV pg and swap to BWV std would suck, BUT its the same resort, so that night just dont unpack anything and in the morning leave all your stuff with bell services until new room is ready. Not ideal but to me not nearly as bad as if you had to move actual resorts.

Almost see that as better as doing 3 bwv pg them moving to a standard. Yes its more move but then you get a longer stretch of not moving.

So yea if you really wanna stay at BCV, id try to get that 3rd day, but if not that single pg day at BWV wouldnt be the worst thing ever in my mind.

Thanks everyone! I have two waitlists going right now:
1. July 1-4 BWV std (so then I would merge and stay BWV July 1-11)
2. July 3 BCV (so then I would move 3 times and split stay @ 3 resorts)

If the waitlists do not come through then I guess I'll do a pool/garden then move over to a std room at BWV.

I'll just keep stalking the website. Fingers crossed I can snag that one day at BCV and thank you!

Big no to 4 moves. Then again, I strongly dislike the BC. But way too much moving around and being homeless, seems like a waste of time and points.
