Linnie go to page 114 post# 1706, that should help you catch up on this subject a little.

Ah, :thumbsup2 I'm caught up now. I missed that for some reason. Yes, I would go to the fingerlakes region, climb mountains of crab legs, swim upstream for wine. Wait, was that the question????

What's your secret? A little crown royal in their drink with dinner??

I'd be kicking your duff to the curb for not helping out a little :headache:

You never need opportunities :sad2:
You just take over

Of course.

Is it any wonder??? :guilty:

:rotfl2: Diets suck. Eating properly is the key ;)

That's just insane :sad2:

And then you probably say what my DH says afterwards - "I didn't think that would happen"

Thanks for saving me the time Blue! One question tho,,,If the kids were in bed at 8 every nite Did LA ever get out to see any of the fireworks?

I live near the Fingerlakes region. I'll go wine tasting with anyone who wants to!!! :thumbsup2

MAN. Now I'm bummed. :( I live about 5 miles north of NYC...nowhere NEAR the fingerlakes region...but if anyone wants to go to Long Island Wine country......:rolleyes1

Yeah you know I consider it to be central NY....I don't know why we have always been told we were Upstate...:confused3 Anyways....I am in Endicott, about an hour or so south of Syracuse and 15 minutes from Binghamton. About 1/2 hour from Ithaca. You aren't too far from the Carousel Center then right? :thumbsup2 Hmmm.....wine and shopping!:cool1:

OH Buzz!!! That installment was fricken FUNNY!!!!

drunk-irish-048.gif

Thanks blue.

GREAT BEGINNING! The titles are still maintaining their regular grippingness....kind of like carbs....hmmm....

Dude, I laughed so hard when I read this, DH came in and asked what I was laughing at. I ended up reading it out loud to him. Right now, he's sitting on his computer reading this whole TR and snickering.
and friends stiff drinks to help recover their dignities afterwards...

Dude! :smokin: Thanks.

....The best laid plans of mice and men....

My blood sugar went up about 40 points just reading about your binge...Can't wait to find out how hung over you felt in the morning.... :sad2:

I was sick as a dog after the binge. My body wasn't used to ANY carbs at all. System Shock! :scared1:

I was exhausted by the time bed time rolled around. Once again, I left Buzz in a heap on the couch, staring blankly at the screen, occasionally lifting his whiskey glass to his thirsty lips. Did he even notice I went to bed? Probably. I wasn't there to refill his glass. He makes this grunting noise at me when he needs more "juice" and if I roll my eyes or ignore him, then he reminds me of how much money he gives me for mad money when he gets his bonus. Kind of guilts me into it. I guess I do have a price. :sad2:

She's a keeper ain't she? :sad2:

Eating standing up.:thumbsup2

Snack foods = inner tube around stomach.

I had a hankering for a Snickers last night. I looked at the Nutritional Guide...280 calories.:scared1: :scared1: I still bought it, but it's just sitting on the kitchen counter...calling my name.

I could live on Snickers alone! ::yes::

I'd be kicking your duff to the curb for not helping out a little :headache:

No you wouldn't.

Yes. Yes she is.

You didn't help at all :faint:

What? :confused3 Was I supposed to?

:lmao: Your scene in the kitchen reminds me of a dog getting excited over a really tasty bag of garbage and the disaster scene it leaves behind. I'm sure Linnie was impressed when she woke up.

That was the image I was shootin' for.

Poor Linnie....I seem to say this alot:sad2:

"...till death do you part... :rotfl2: She's screwed! :lmao:

Our kids go up to bed around 7 pm with showers, etc. But I let them stay up until 10 pm. It used to be 9 pm but they all woke up at the unGodly hour of 6 am. So, that had to stop, especially because I am the one that get woken up! So 10 pm it is. They have to stay in bed though calmly watching movies and the TV gets set to automatically turn off at 10 pm-ish. Works for us! But it is still all about routine. If we go up later, they are off the wall. And that happens on Rob's watch.

We sort of do the same. Only different. Heck, how should I know. :confused3 Lin puts the little baboons to bed, not me.

But, I'm surprised you keep this routine on vacation. We totally never did this. We ran them kids ragged, sometimes.

As far as I remember, we kept the routine up during vacation. ::yes::

This one totally cracked me up! Even if this were true, do we really need to know?? BTW, Rob gave me a hickey last night! I was ready to smack him! :lmao:

Hooboy. :sad2:

Exactly! ::yes::

Oh come on little Miss Hoity Toity! :rolleyes1

Them English are all snobs. :snooty:

j/k Jo

Them people in NYC who believe the state revolves around them is the reason we get called Upstate. I know where Endicott is. My aunt grew up in Vestal. My sis-in-law's fiance is from Watkins Glen. I am very close to the Carousel Center. In fact, Blue River and I met up last Saturday and went drinking, er, shopping there. We have a little TR going on the Community Board called "A Happy Pappy DIS Meet or It's Wine Time".

How about Montana wine country?

We got us some fine grapes up here!
You all come out to NY first! Then get your extra bedrooms ready and I'll bring the family out there! :thumbsup2 Would you like to take the kids to Niagara Falls?

Hello? The WORLD revolves around us, not just the state. Just ask anyone (...from here). :rotfl: Upstate is anyone north of NYC. I live "Upstate", as I am in Westchester!

Thanks for the laugh! Okay. Now, here is a little learning experience. Syracuse, NY, is pretty much smack dab in the middle of the state. Therefore, it is called Central New York. Watertown and the Adirondacks are Upstate to me. Rochester & Buffalo are Western New York. New York City is Downstate or just the City. :teacher: Long Island, well, I guess they're Islanders.

PS-Buzz did NOT put the Christmas lights up!! We hired it done because our house is too tall. The people who do it have to rent a lift for crying out loud. Buzz used to do the lights at our other house. It'd take him 8 house and it barely looked any different when he was done.

These people store the lights for us all year and have it measured out exactly. I think it took them 30 mins total to do all that. They're amazing. The lights went up Nov. 1. Buzz wanted to be first. :sad2: Our electric bill is gonna go through the roof.

Ooh, I almost typed amazon there instead of amazing. Must be thinking of myself.

WHAT?!? You mean I spent all day freezing my *** off helping DH put up our icicle lights with an extension ladder - when I could have hired someone to do it for us? My hands are still numb!

Amazon... hmmmm.... time to go shopping... :thumbsup2

Me? What'd I do? Did I miss something? I don't think I got on the boards yesterday-I made a HUGE dinner! We had a 21 pound turkey for 4 of us!! Plus a whole other mess of crap that I made. Leftovers galore!

And yesterday, I made 2 quilts for LA's bed. She's got bunk beds and twin sized comforters don't fit well-they're too long so I made 2 for her beds and finished them yesterday. I really need to take a quilting class. Maybe after the first of the year. It stretched my brain a littlre more than I like.
BTW, congrats on cooking a turkey AND finishing two quilts in one day. :faint: Linnie, you are waaaaaay too much woman for Buzz! He'd better hang on to you! :goodvibes

:lmao: Now I know you did not get THAT much snow.

seriously tho, that totally reminds me of college...the guys that lived downstairs shovelled and packed snow up against their door and used it as a beer fridge...they used the livingroom window to get in and out of the appartment...lasted about 4 days until someone told on them and brought the fire department in to knock it down.:rotfl:

ahhhh memories of college!:cloud9:

:lmao: I have to say that I have never seen anybody here in Kingston do that. Not even in the student "ghetto". Now of course they build all sorts of other inappropriate things out of the snow but no beer fridges. :rolleyes1
