I have the 78 piece pallette.....it has some matte shadows, some shimmer shadows and 6 blushes. I didn't think I would use the blushes but there are a couple that I use alot. I have to say I use this pallette every single day.....I LOVE it. I also have the 42 Double Stack Matte Shadows and Blushes. This one is great also and I use it alot. I want to get the Lip Pallette and also the Ultra Shimmer 88 Eyeshadow Pallette. You would think that the little pots (which are maybe a little larger than dime size) wouldn't last long but there is really alot of product in them. They shipped to me really quickly and they package everything very carefully with lots of packing material. I can't say enough good things about them!!!! There is a 120 pallette out there on ebay that some of the youtubers use but it comes from outside the USA and I'm a little leary about that. Emilynoel93 on youtube looked extensively into (guess it's the newscaster in her) the Coastal Scents products and they are made in the USA.

Hope everyone has a great day..........so far it is a pretty day her in NOLA, but we have been having some showers every afternoon........but my lawn really could use it!!!!

Later,
Patti

I checked out this site....are you saying that it is made in USA? This stuff looks too good to be true. I am going to try and buy the stippling brish and maybe a pallet ...they are so cheap. Are you sure they are made in USA? I am sure the brushes aren't but if the make up is then I will try it.

Hi :wave2:

I can honestly say i've never seen any makeup related youtube videos.. but I'm gonna search some tonight when i get home.

whats a Clarisonic?

Honey....you are in for a treat. I like gossmakeupartist he does a good job even if you watch him demo it on himself.

Yep..........go on Youtube and look up emilynoel83.....she is the newscaster I mentioned before.........she uses these and she had questions from some of her youtube viewers so she investigated and contacted the company directly. If you find her on youtube....there is a link on her youtube main page for her blog......it was in one of her blog "episodes".....I don't know if I can post links yet.....but when I get home I will try......some of the products they sell are not made here....but she said that the CS pallettes are made at their facilities here..........It was only after I read this that I ordered mine!

I never heard of it, nor can I find it online. Where do you buy it? I guess you will have to be our tester! :cheer2:

I just google RCMA and it comes up. There are a variety of places on line where I have found it. It is supposed to be professional make up and very pigmented. I just want to try it and it is not that expensive it is 22 per container but the problem is it is hard to tell the correct color on line. I would like to get the sampler but it is 60. I will find the website for it and put it on here.

Hi from the NOLA area!!!!!!!! What kind of shadows do you use.........I have alot of BE shadows and I have lots of greens, browns, coppers........I can look when I get home this evening and post some of the names. I also have green eyes although I don't use purples that much. I do have a great BE purple called Bordeaux that I really love....it's kind of a midnight purple......There is also a great green called Gracious that is my fav. green.....There was a green called Peacock that I really loved but it was only available in a kit and I used it all up and now I can't get anymore.....but....I digress......I know you said browns.......My sister complimented me on my eye makeup the other night for the very first time.....and it was a look from one of emilynoel83's youtube videos.....it used a creamy color on the lid, a kind of dark taupe in the crease and up a little onto the upper lid and then a little black in the very crease with a tiny crease brush and kind of in the corner.....and a little more of the creamy color as a highlighter on the browbone.......I never thought I would use the black in my palette but I've been using it alot just to define the crease area a little more......I've used it over lots of crease colors........wow........I gave you way more than you wanted to know probably.........:rolleyes1
Definitely not more than I wanted to know and hi back from Baton Rouge. I like your username. It reminds me of one of my favorite songs ever (I'm sure you can guess!)

I am not brand loyal for eyeshadows. I'm willing to try pretty much anything. I do have a beautiful green from MAC that I bought along with a very dark charcoal that's almost black. I never thought I'd wear those colors but they're really beautiful. I like them better for evening wear on me, though.

The shadows I'm currently using are browns from MAC, Star Sailor from NARS, and several different browns and plums from BE. I don't remember the names.

I also like to wear brown eyeliner and brown mascara. For some reason it looks much better on me than black.

I'll look for the other colors you mentioned.
I am loving a new shadow trio that I got recently. It is the Lorac baked shadow trio. I have the starlet, which is purple shades.

But they also have one in bronze shades.

On a different note, does anyone here have any of the Philosophy scents? I just got the travel size Amazing Grace to try. I think I like it! I feel it is a very clean light scent. Does anyone have any of the other ones?

Gretchen
From the picture I do like the brown set you posted. I'll have to check it out.

Amazing Grace is the only fragrance I have and it's because it was a freebie with my points. I bought another fragrance for my mom, Inner Grace, and I liked it a little better.

You shouldn't start...they are addicting! xsparkage is one of my favorites. She's adorable and really fun to watch. I'll post a few links to my favorites when I get home.

A Clarisonic is an amazing face brush that I wish I owned

I can related with being sick of purples. Every place wants to saddle me with purple shadows because my eyes are green, but I like a bit more variety.

I personally love MAC's Bronze, Soba, Patina and Woodwinked. Those are all some of my staple colors.

I wish I could help you, but my hair is a frizzy, curly, mess too. My hair seems to just soak up all the moisture in the air. :scared:

I have been wanting to try a few products from Lush that are supposed to be fantastic for curly, frizzy hair.

I'll check out the colors you mentioned too. Thanks!

Calling all curly girls!!!

I know we had a conversation about this before, but I was just about to leave for vacation and I didn't have time to read. I'm naturally curly and I have product issues! I tend to do well with a product for a while and then I seem to get frizzy and I have to change it up. I'm getting that frizz going right now and ready for a change. Please share your curly girl product favorites!

Have you tried Morrocan Oil....I love it. check it out on their site and then get it on cosmeticmagic.com they have the best prices around and be sure to go to retailmenot to find out if there are any coupon codes. I have used htis site and they ship quickly with free shipping over 40.00

I cannot find that particular blog do you know if that means the concealer pallet is made in usa too? I am interested in it. It has good reviews but I am never sure if they are true.

Her blog is here http://beautybroadcast.blogspot.com/

It is her 4/30/09 entry. She gives alot of really good information and even gives a site for a cosmetic safety database that you can go to to check on any brand of cosmetics and it gives them ratings.

I have used my coastal scents pallettes for awhile and I have had absolutely no problems with them. I'm pretty afraid of using things that I don't know much about around my eyes but I felt comfortable with these.

Ulta had the NYX shadows on sale buy two get two free. I got 8 but am taking back 4. They are okay but they are not anything like the Stila or the Mac and I had read they were just as good. NOt in my opinion. I would say give them a try some are better than others and I kept a yellow, gold green and deep maroon which I did not have in my collection. You cannot beat the price and I think if I had used my shadow base or Mac paint they would be better but what I did not like was that the crease color smudged with the lid color. I had midnight and I think it was lime on (I know it sounds gross but I was playing with it).

That's the one! I just looked it up and it was a hit in 1978. That's the year after my oldest brother graduated from high school and the year I started Kindergarten :rolleyes1

Now I have to go see if itunes has the song.

I took back the NYX shadow....they itched my eyes. I am sticking with Stila. I went to NOrdstroms and got the Philosophy Eye Hope advanced and they gave me a FANTASTIC gift with it. I think it is because it looks as if Nordstroms is dying! Everytime I go in there they are not busy. YOu were supposed to spend 75 but I spent only 48. Anyway the gift was a good size bottle of their Margarita shampoo, bodywash, a 1 oz Hope in a Jar (half the size of the 2 oz for 35) a good size bottle of Amazing Grace, and a jar of 30 exfoliating pads! Easily 50 to 60 worth of product if you were to buy it!

Thanks to the poster (Nawlins?) who suggested Emily Noel on Youtube. She discusses how the brushes from Everyday Minerals are so good and sturdy. I can get the Skunkless Foptic Brush that I have been looking for priced at 30 for only 10! I wanted to get the 50.00 mix and match set of 12 items and get all the brushes but some of them are out of stock(the ones she mentions on the YOu Tube video) so I will wait till they get them it. It will be well worth it and I do love EM.

:thumbsup2 That is an awesome deal on the Philosophy. I've been looking at trying some other stuff, but wish I could go to a store and buy it instead of always buying on line, but no one around here sells it. :sad1:

I may need to check out those brush reviews also. I did get a eye shadow brush when I ordered the brown summer set and I do like it, but they are so inexpensive I was wondering if the other brushes were really that good.

Well, I've finally given in.

I have been rationing out a sample of DKNY Be Delicious - Fresh Blossom, I had.

I can't take it anymore. I love it. I smell wonderful and airy and light and fresh!!

I'm going to Macy's, Carson's and Von Maur in search of a gift set. I would like a lotion as well. :cloud9:

Well it is hard to tell but from the looks of the way Emily Noel uses them they look pretty sturdy. Don't forget the make up is fairly inexpensive too and we all love that. I have a pile of stuff in my basket at Californiascents.com but I have not purchased it yet. I hate the the shipping is 12.oo....they are worse than Vera Bradley!

Yep...It was me......glad you found her helpful. I love all of her reviews...she is very honest and since she is a news anchor/reporter she does some pretty good investigation work!!!

I have a hair question........hope that is ok here......what kind of volumizing hair products....shampoo/mousse/gel....whatever do y'all use.....I have bone straight hair, alot of it....but it is very fine......I'm trying to find one that doesn't weigh my hair down too much.....any suggestions?????

There were lots of BE shows on QVC this weekend......but I had to resist the temptation.......too many birthdays and graduations this month..

Just had to share!

My sister's birthday was yesterday. At Easter she said she wanted to have a makeup party where we all bring our favorite makeup and any makeup we want to give away and also we could give each other tips etc... about makeup. We also would do our nails.

We had so much fun! I gave away some samples I got at Sephora. I gave them the Monistat tip. ;)

I got a lot of makeup from my sisters that they didn't want. I got some lipglosses, lipsticks, some anti-aging creams, a Chanel mascara etc...

I also learned about something I had never heard of before. My sister brought some Smashbox cream eye liner. The color was Smashing Caviar which is black. She explained how you put it on (she used an eyeliner pencil). Once it dried, it lasted a long time. I've never heard of this before. Have any of you? How do you use it?

Well, I just wanted to share with you. It was a lot of fun. :thumbsup2

On my little Von Maur adventure - they had Lip Fusion colors - for $25. :thumbsup2 That stuff is usually obnoxiously expensive.

I bought it in Sugar:

http://www.sephora.com/browse/produ...vb2dsZS5jb20=_RAWbGlwJTIwZnVzaW9uJTIwc3VnYXI=

That's a really crappy swatch color. It's a 'your lips but better' shade. Really nice.

I put it on in the store and as we walked into the mall, I turned to my son and asked "Are my lips bigger?" He said no, but I would have bet my life they were. They were NUMB! Just NUMB!! If you ever plan on getting your lip pierced, I highly suggest picking some up.

The color is nice, and it lasts long. I think I'm gonna pick up another one. The shade right next to sugar on that swatch list - Sexy - that one is a REALLY nice sheer red. REALLY pretty. I think I'm grabbing that one too. They had just a ton. Sweet was puuuurrrrty too!
