I'm so glad I got your review before caving in and buying it, haha.

HI NJ NEIGHBOR! What part of NJ?;)

I'm in Bergen County, where are you?

I received the new Faux Tan from Bare Escentials today....hope that's better than Dr. Denese:confused3

Very pretty CR! If my camera was working right, I'd add a picture.

Hey did you guys see the hot topic on MUA? Stila, NOT beautycrunch, is have a sale! 40% off and free shipping. stilapro is the code and is good til 6/17.

I'm not buying. I'm not buying. I'm not buying. I'm not buying.

But let me know if it works in case I change my mind. This may be time to try their world famous eye shadow and smudge pots.

I wish I could navigate MUA better! I am going to Stila and just look....just look that is all but I do have a pallet that has 4 slots Screaming for eyeshadow....I hope I can just cover my ears and look away.

Can anyone recommend an eyeliner that will actually stay on at Disneyworld in hot humid June? Every year, I put on eyeliner and it is pretty much sweated off/rubbed off within 30 minutes of going down Main Street.

TIA

I love the Mac Fluidline. It's a gel liner that you put on with a brush. Takes a bit of getting used to, but I like it. :thumbsup2

I am using Urban Decay 24/7 and it stays on really well! I live in hot, humid Louisiana and I have no problem with it. It's creamy and you can blend quickly but then it sets. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P133707&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=3806

You know, I am a big time buyer's remorse person.

I loved my sample - but does anyone else ever think the sample is 'better' than the perfume, itself? :confused3

It doesn't last. At all. Be Delicious - the green one - lasts allll day long. This one you get a few hours out of, tops. That irritates me.

To compare the two - it's very very similar to the green one. Way more so than the red or purple versions. That being said - Fresh Blossom has that same crisp green apple undertone, with a splash of grapefruit and a smidge of floral. It's nice. REALLY nice - if it lasted.

I think I might take it back.

I'm such a dork.
I take back too. I'm really sorry it doesn't last. I got a sample tonight at Sephora and it smells really good. It's a nice clean, floraly smell.

Yep...It was me......glad you found her helpful. I love all of her reviews...she is very honest and since she is a news anchor/reporter she does some pretty good investigation work!!!

I have a hair question........hope that is ok here......what kind of volumizing hair products....shampoo/mousse/gel....whatever do y'all use.....I have bone straight hair, alot of it....but it is very fine......I'm trying to find one that doesn't weigh my hair down too much.....any suggestions?????

There were lots of BE shows on QVC this weekend......but I had to resist the temptation.......too many birthdays and graduations this month..
I think you and I are out of luck :teeth:. My hair sounds just like yours...long and fine, but lots of hair. I've tried tons of products but really with hair like that in this climate I don't know that anything really works.

I did find a hairspray I really like but I only use it for special occasions because it's so expensive http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P53948&categoryId=C10471

I think it works really well but it clogs so easily. I don't think to check until it sprays all over my arms and face. It's annoying!

I ordered some stuff too, it hasn't arrived yet though. Did you apply for a free 24kt lipgloss?

No.:sad1: I couldn't figure out how to use the code for 40% off, and still get the free lip gloss. Can you use 2 codes on their site? I had never ordered directly from them before, and didn't know you could stack the codes.

2nd this. Mac Fluidline is by far, my favorite gel liner.

Breakouts - I never broke out in my teens, broke out in my 20's, and stopped (pretty much) in my 30's. Nothing really worked. I wish I had something better for you.

Dark Circles - this is allergy season, and that will cause dark circles. Try taking a benadryl and see if it goes away - if it does, start taking daily Zyrtec or Claritin and your problem will be solved. :)

I've been using the Philosophy Advanced Makeup Optional set that QVC had last month for the TSV and I LOVE it! My skin is like a different persons. Even my husband has commented on how good my skin is looking. I don't have nearly as many bumps and dry spots. I normally will break a little around "that time" of the month and I didn't have that issue last month because of the Philosophy.

The set also comes with the Advance Eye Hope (you can buy seperate) and OMG, let me tell you how much I have loved this stuff. I can not believe how much lighter my circles are under my eyes. I always had really dark black circles - no matter how much sleep I got - and after only using this for about three weeks, my circles are so light most days (again depends on how much sleep) that I barely even need concealer. There is another poster on this thread that gave a review about it and it is why I decided to get the set when it came out and I am super glad I did. :lovestruc It is fabulous! (It also has helped with the deep lines I'm starting to get, but I am also far from being 24 so you may not need it for that.)

Whenever I go away (especially to Disney), I'm always packing sooo much make-up. It drives me crazy & weighs my bag down like you wouldn't believe. I just want to simplify my make-up and make it compact so I won't have to worry about it. I can't believe I actually spend my time worrying about this, haha.

This is my problem. I went to visit my family and friends for 24 hours in Florida and I had to check a bag just because it contained too much liquid and makeup. The makeup bag in my purse is ridiculous. I'm like the girlscout of cosmetics, I'm ready for any and all makeup issues that may arise.

I agree with GoofyforDisney3, MAC's fluidline is amazing. I have oily skin and eyelids and that stuff doesn't budge. :thumbsup2

I wanted to report back with my finds.

First of all, I have never used a makeup primer before and haven't had a big problem with my makeup not staying on well, but I was so intrigued by the Monistat face info, that I went out and bought the Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel. I actually convinced my mom to try it too, so off we went to Wal-Mart. Well, we both LOVE it! What a great product! I swear putting it on is a "Mr. Wizard" moment when it magically turns from gel to powder. And it really does make my makeup look fresh all day. I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up on a super hot summer day. I'm actually thinking about getting another tube of it to use for its intended purpose since being so hot during summer can lead to chafing.

I was also looking for a good mascara that wouln't smudge or run or flake off. I have very deep set eyes, and my eyelashes touch my eyelids, so this has been a huge problem in the past. I noticed that Estee Lauder came out with a new mascara--Double Wear. I use their Double Wear foundation and have been very pleased with it, so I thought I would give the Double Wear mascara a try. Well, it worked wonderfully! Not a smudge, flake, or streak in sight! Now the only problem is one of my eyes got all irritated a couple of nights ago, which I think was because a little piece of the mascara got stuck in my eye when I was taking it off. So I haven't worn it for the past 2 days to let my eye recover completely. But I don't think it was a reaction to the mascara itself, especially since it only happened on one eye. But I will let y'all know if it turns out I was allergic to the mascara. Boy I hope I'm not, because I love it!

No, I know!!!! And I will not - and I mean WILL NOT check my makeup. So.... I'm lucky I am the only girl in my house, so when I travel I get lot's of extra baggies (the boys don't need no stinking liquid baggie!!) Usually it's just my youngest (14) and me - but when my husband is with too?? Woo hoo!! I can bring EXTRA lipgloss! A selection, if you will!! :woohoo:

I have begun collecting small containers to keep things in, through out the year, too. I know I've heard some people having problems with unmarked containers - so, I have containers marked, filled with completely different stuff.

A little pot of MAC Lip Conditoner? Nope - it's filled with Sebastian Potion 9. So, I've been able to get creative and think outside the box/container/baggie in order to smuggle more aboard. :thumbsup2

Yes - and I know..... the purse makeup case. It had anything I need. If I ever forgot to do my makeup (which doesnt happen) and arrived somewhere bare faced, it would be a-okay as I have my whole face in an itty bitty makeup bag, in my purse!

YAY!! Another Monistat Face covert!! (the people of this thread REALLY need some commission, for crien out loud!! )

I like Estee's mascara (More than Mascara) a lot. But that being said - I could never justify the price. It's a pricey product from them!

I finally got to take my trip to Sephora. I am becoming a Dior addict!

I can't say enough about the Dior Nudeskin foundation. I'm back to liquid, which I said I'd never do. It gives a beautiful finish.

I also bought a (Dior) shadow duo: Bronzy Look. The "sample" at sephora.com doesn't look anything like the actual color, but this shadow is amazing. I thought she applied it a little heavy so I tried to take a little off. It will not come off and I've rubbed and rubbed!

I also bought 2 shadows and a new liner from Urban Decay. The shadows are Blaze and YDK and are very close to the colors I was asking for here last week. The liner is Lucky (coppery) and it's really pretty!

I am also trying a Laura Mercier lipstick for the first time. Does anyone use her lipstick and do you like it? I'm a big fan of Stila lipstick but I didn't find the color I wanted.

Finally, I broke down and bought NARS Outlaw. I really didn't think I needed it since *O* seems to go with everything, but I tried it and couldn't resist.

Hi girls! I'm just reporting a new Monistat Face! My DD12 is starting to wear makeup, so we went to this makeup party and learned a "Hollywood Look". It was fun, but I only spend money on her, which was hard.

They gave us a primer as the first thing to apply. I have never used a primer other than the Monistat so I was interested to see that it feels exactly the same.

At the end of the party I told her I was going to get her a bunch of stuff to get her makeup started and I asked her what was her favorite thing. She said the primer! So I said "No, I have a bunch of that at home, what else do you want?" So we got home and I showed her the Monistat and got her going. Now she uses it every morning too. A baby Monistat face for our club!!!

Philosophy's new eye cream is great for dark circles....

Bare Escentuals has a acne prone mineral that works like magic. "Rare Minerals". It's a treatment & cover-up. They also have a skin cleanser.

I got some more samples from Everyday Minerals. I hope I got a good foundation color this time.

I second the cleanser! I also really like the lotion and the face mist. I have never tried the stuff for acne but I may have to give it a try.

I was the one who told you to try the Eye Hope Advanced and I am so glad you like it. I just got my full size one Saturday...I was working off the samples they gave me when they did my facial at NOrdstroms. I love it! According to the person who did my facial it has Nicinimide in it and that is what Dr. Oz claims lightens the circles. It is extremely expensive IMHO because it is 49.00 for .5 oz.
