Hey! :)

Did I tell you guys I picked up Michael Kors Very Hollywood? It's really pretty. A little *richer* for lack of a better word, than what I would normally wear. I like florals, aquatics and fruityness - but something about it, made me wanna bathe in it. I think it's the unique "Fresh Gardenia" scent. I pair it will Hempz Orange lotion. So, I just adore the combo. I like it.

And staying with the Michael Kors theme... So, I go to Lord & Taylor, on my lunch. They had a big ol' sale on summer/spring clothes - and I had a 25% off *already reduced prices* WOooo HooOoOo!

I walk in, and sitting on a display was this:

DAMMIT! I came for clothes. Not full price Michael Kors purses! But she was shining and smiling at me....waving. Flaunting her full price tag.

I fought it. I fought it, I fought it, I fought it... I lasted a long time. Like 10 whole minutes. I walked away, looked back at her - I could have sworn I saw her a shed tear.

And then, this:

Her name is Penny, and I love her.

.

LOL "Her name is Penny" Should be Penny's from Heaven (no I did not spell pennies incorrectly...her name is Penny and she's from Heaven) She is beautiful. She would look great with my new pink gold bangles inset with cabachon semi precious stones. It would be a match made in heaven....penny heaven.

Those bangles sound awesome. I think you should send them to me. They probably look awkward and out of place, without Penny. :rolleyes1

I would except I think that Penny will be jealous. I still don't know how to put photos on here or I would.

There are so many great ideas here! I haven't had a chance to read all pages yet, but I will!!
I don't wear much makeup but would really like to start. There are some great tip and suggestions so hopefully I will venture and dabble in some of them!

Does anyone know of a good moisture for oily skin, I've been using oil of Olay , but I read somewhere that I should be using a serum one.

I have combo skin with touch more oily and have been avoiding moisturizers lol. I have run across a line called Simple Skin Care. Got it at Target for 9.99. They have a heavy moisturizer and then one that is lighter. I got the lighter one. Here is their website http://www.simpleskincare.com/?utm_...le skin&utm_campaign=D-Simple Skin Care- Core

Evidently they are a UK product that is now here in the states. So far I am impressed with the light moisturizer. Doesn't sting or irritate my skin and hasn't caused outbreak.

I was watching youtube with gossmakeupartist (who imho is the best make up artist on you tube) and he was talking about Clarisonic. Apparently he had the same problem I did with it. My face broke out, badly. I kept thinking it was something I did but when I listened to what happened to him I realized that this tool is not for everyone...especially ME! The funny thing is he had been using the tool twice a day and it worked wonderfully for him but then he replaced the brush head and it was all over.

I just wanted to let people know that if you buy a Clarisonic, keep the slip(which I did not do ) just in case you have the same problem. I still have not gotten a handle on my skin after using it and I am on two prescription meds topically and it has been two months.

I've been using their facial wash with my Mia and I really like it. As soon as my current moisturizer is gone, I'm going to be buying the Simple moisturizer. :)

I love the Simple line of face products - their make-up remover wipes are amazing. Love the cleanser and moisturizer too. :)

Saw that Sephora now has a OPI At Home Gel System. I was intrigued, and had to get SOMETHING to go along with my birthday Fresh Sugar set, so thought I'd give it a try. It should be here by the weekend - looking forward to trying it out!

Do you need a lamp to cure it?

:cool1: This was me the other day when they finally announced we are getting an Ulta store in my town. (I wish it was Sephora, but I'll take Ulta cause beggers can't be choosers. :rolleyes1) I am finally going to just run and buy something and not have to look/search online and wait for it to be shipped to me. Love that they carry the brands I use the most. Like the Mario Badescu face stuff that I am :cloud9::love:with! That control cream just rocks! It has been months and I still have not needed to use my prescription cream/gel on my rosacea. :woohoo:

Sometimes Ulta has some good coupons, and mine has a brow bar - love that! Brow wax is free on your birthday, and then I just keep them shaped up in between.

What prescription were you using. I am using Finacia(sp) and a sulpher suspension for which I do not know the brand name. It is not working all that well so I am willing to try the Mario Badescu . My son's gf works for Ulta so I get 25% off.

I used Metrogel first and then Finacea. I like the Finacea best but it left my skin feeling like leather. The Contol Cream and Control Mask have done wonders. Very rare do I get a bump and my skin is much smoother and not thick feeling on my cheeks. Plus the kit with the Cream Soap was cheaper than buying the Finacea, even with insurance. :rotfl:

I too used Metro Gel and it did nothing. I did stop using it because my face was fine for about 3 years and then last year it started again. I have to say again it started when I began using the Clarisonic. Does the package just say for Rosaca(sp)? It is not the one that says for Adult Acne right?

When on the website it says for rosacea. It has all individual items and then the "kit" that I got. That has a jar of Control Cream & Control Mask and a bottle of Cream Soap. I think the box says something about calming on it.
I also have been tempted by the Clarisonic and have almost ordered it a few times but have always wondered if it was good for my type of skin. A few weeks ago I read something some place online that said it was NOT good for people with rosacea. Not sure if that is true or not, but after reading that and hearing how your skin has been I'm glad I didn't get one.

My gel kit arrived Thursday, and I tried it Thursday night. First gel mani ever, and I have to say, I think I'm hooked! Love the shine, and while the application was a bit of a pain and the gel smelled to high heaven, the fact that it was dry so quick and it's so dang shiny is a decent compromise, IMHO. Love that there are no dings, no bubbles, no smudges!

I am so sorry I got it. Up till I started using it my skin was in "remission" so to speak. It kills me that I did not realize it when I got it. It will be good however for exfoliating my legs when I use sunless tanner. Quite an expensive exfoliation.
