has anyone ever stayed here? Any tips or comments on the place? We rented through the company Evergreen Florida Vacation homes and just wanted some feed back on these guys. This is our first trip and first time renting private like this and a little nervous:scared1:

Can someone help Time is ticking by and I am hoping this plce is ok and these people are good to deal with I am very nervous

Don't know this company, but what are you nervous about? have you called them to discuss your concerns? Most likely, you will have a great vacation!

I think there are many, many small management companies in the area. Are you renting from the company you named or directly from the owner (& the owner gave you the name of the mgmt. company)? I think most people here on the DIS go directly through the owner to generally get a better price, and also get better and more detailed information about the specific place being rented. I think I've only seen reference to 1-2 management companies that have had problems or have bad reputations, and the one you named is not one of those.

When I rent from an owner, I check things out on the property tax website to confirm ownership, and that helps me feel much better about sending money to an individual.

A few months ago when I first started my rental search a friend of mine led me in the direction of Windsor Hills and Evergreen Florida Vacation Home. She did not stay at The Maharajiah but she did speak VERY highly of the MC.

I ended up renting through VRBO.com since we wanted a townhouse and I think EFVH only had one or two in WH but I know my friend will definitely use them again her next trip back.

Hopefully this will put your mind at ease a bit. Have a wonderful trip!

This will be our first time using EFVH as well, in early November. We also have never rented a condo before (never really stayed off-site) but found them via a recomendation from a friend who used them last year and was very pleased. I normally wouldn't have been terribly confident if I had not known someone who had actually used them before - only because I've really only ever dealt with Disney or a major chain directly.

It looks like we will be returning about the same time you are leaving, but I'll post when we return anyhow. They seem like very nice people, and I hope to report a happy experience. :)

Hi,

I was wondering how your experience worked out with EFVH? I'm about to book their Clockhouse for September - and just wanted to get a reference of some sort. Did you enjoy Windsor Hills?

Many thanks,

Paul

We had a really great time at our EFVH home. Everything as as-described, and the staff whom my family dealt with seemed really great and attentive. The home was clean overall (especially bathrooms/bedrooms) but the only thing we ended up recleaning ourselves was the dishware (it didn't look like it had been used in awhile and just gathered some of that dust/yuck that accumulates over time just sitting).

For the price I just don't think you can beat it. We had always stayed on-site before and really thought there was no better way to go - boy were we wrong. We'd trade a cramped hotel room for a home with several bedrooms, a nice living room, and our own enclosed pool ANY DAY OF THE WEEK lol.

For large familiy trips, we will be using them exclusively from now on. Although I know some people just don't want to drive themselves around Orlando it really wasn't a problem for us at all - in fact, we MUCH more enjoyed it than the waiting/standing on busses that we felt took up so much of our trip before. It's easy to find your way around, and so nice to get back to your personal, air conditioned vehicle with your own stuff/music/etc and then take a nice short drive to our private home.

Really, when you can get a whole house for not much more than the price of a value resort on Disney, I can't think of a better way to experience Orlando.

Mario,

Thanks very much for your quick reply. I just booked with EFVH this morning. Did you enjoy Windsor Hills? It looks like there will be plenty to keep our 2 1/2 year old occupied.

Thanks,

Paul
