The magical special feeling of Disney World wear off???

We go about 4 times a year, bought DVC in 1999, and feel the "magic" of anticipation before each and every trip. Our kids are 10 and 8, they are now old enough for us to try the Downtown Disney activities/attractions.
We went for a spur-of-the-moment trip in January for my husband's birthday and had the best time. We packed a lot into 3 days. My daughter (10) was picked (after she enthusiastically raised her hand) to participate in the show at Comedy Warehouse. It was the highlight of our trip!
We have tried The Adventurer's Club the last two trips, as well as Disney Quest.
We haven't eaten at all of the restaurants yet, so that is always fun.

It is always a different vacation for us.

Dh and I find that even though we go three times a year we find it more relaxing each time. We let ourselves enjoy many other amenities that DWD has to offer. We also find that we spend more time getting from place to place. Most likely because we know that we will be back. Prior to each trip that comes up we are just as excited as the last one at the thought of going. This is our home away from home. Like some folks that have cottages we have DVC. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Yes! After we bought DVC we noticed the change, too. It changes to a more relaxed form of pixie dust. We call it mellow magic. We watch more ducks now, and smell more flowers. It's actually more enjoyable now than during the commando years. We see it with new eyes from inside, as you say, our HOME away from home.

It hasnt happened for us yet. I think once we made that 1st trip as DVCers, we came to know what to expect from our upcoming trips. No more commando!!

We will be going "home" in a few days, and we all are looking so forward to it. And like many others have said, we try to do something different each trip. Being a DVCer makes the trip even more enjoyable. Now, we stop and truly smell the roses.

The magic is better! Now I look forward to the resort and all the other things you can do at Disney. Part of the magic is planning for me-something to look forward to :) THe parks mean less now and Disney is truly a vacation now. It's a great feeling. The last trip the sunshine and pool were the highlight (and the 1st DVC trip memories).
