Here is my dog Dixie. She is an almost 6 year old Golden Retriever. she is definitely a princess, and my little human wanna be baby:goodvibes

She's so beautiful...

You have to make an account - I wanted to keep some privacy possible for our planning :) (plus it prevents spambots etc from wreaking too much havoc)

Oh I see, Now I understand what you mean....:rolleyes1

She is beautiful. Our Chocolate Lab (11 years old) was diagnosed with Leukemia at Easter, and passed away on May 17. The second picture reminds me so much of my Sasha. All your doggie needs is a little love and walkie every day, and she will give back so much.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers! (at least for all y'all over the pond, it's morning)

DH Bruce and I have been signed up for this cruise for a while, but we've been a little busy - preparing to move, moving, selling a house, buying a house, going to Disney World, and on the WBPC cruise. Please add us to the roll call.

I am SO happy to see so many familiar names from previous cruises and look forward to some 'catch up' time with you!

Who's going B2B with the first Southern?

oh I feel sad to hear about your lovely chocolate lab Sasha. Peggy is wonderful dog and make me lots of laughing too I am sure Sasha did that too. Peggy is very close to my husband Ian because he take her to his work, walking and playing with ball (her favourite) and gave her plenty love/cuddle her. This photo bring your memory about Sasha.

I think we are pretty much resigned to using one of the Air France Flights form Paris to Barcelona already based on the fares I was seeing when I looked. I can use some of my AMEX points to pay for that flight. The fares I've seen are a little under $100 US including baggage which doesn't seem too bad to me. When I saw how much the overnight train was I figured flying would be my preferred method to get from Paris to Barcelona.

One word of caution: taxes! Often in Europe the taxes are higher than the airfare and are not included in the advertised price.

Greetings everyone!

We are excited to be joining the 2014 WBTA after having done the 2011 EBTA.

We have decided that it may be fun to come into Dublin, London, Paris, or Amsterdam a few days before we sail. We have enjoyed Barcelona before and want to add this extra destination to the trip.

We are US citizens. Anybody have reccomendations for how to schedule airfare and what to expect for US citizens flying from one European country to another?

Perhaps arrive to Barcelona the night of the 5th?
Or could we make it by taking an early flight to Barcelona the morning of the 6th?

Very excited to be back on the TA even if we are on Deck 1 (cheapest Disney vacation points)... for now. Hoping for another upgrade.

Michele and I just returned from a trip to Europe last night. Had stops in Amsterdam (twice), Bucharest, and Rome. We had absolutely no problems, other than weather, flying between European countries. Flying back to JFK, on the other hand... (2 hour line for immigration - WITH a "Quick Connect" pass)!!!

We'll be going to Romania before the WBTA. We're still flying to Barcelona the day before the cruise, however. Too many things can go wrong.

Just as an FYI - on http://disney.sapphiremind.com/ I just finished copying the roll-call into a spreadsheet. Feel free to update your information as desired (or ask me if you can't figure out how. :) )

I think now all the documents are copied over from the first page, if people could let me know if I am missing something, I would appreciate it. Any other feedback is good too. :D

I just registered - very easy. I appreciate having the information available on the web site!

Hi Crystal ...wishing you well with your new job :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Sounds like a brilliant trip ... I have yet to go to Rome or Bucharest for that matter and really sure sort that out considering how close we are.

Wish we could fly the day before .... the practicalities of doing it with 10 people though just overwhelms me. So we will be looking at the earliest flight we can find for the morning of the cruise, hopefully with an airline that has a second flight on the same day in case of baggage issues. I know I will be paranoid when the time comes though.

Isn't it odd that we hardly ever visit the sites in our own "backyard?" I've spent more time on holiday outside the US than here at home (not even counting my deployed time with the Marine Corps ;) ).

If you do make it to Romania, don't bother with Bucharest - well, maybe the Peoples' Palace - go to Transylvania. Brasov is a beautiful, historic town with so much to see and do in the area.

I understand the logistics nightmare of moving such a large group. I know you'll do brilliantly!

Okay, here's our pack, in order of appearance. They are all rescues from different places. Two are the occupational hazard of working at a vet's office.

Neville is an unknown breed, about 8 yrs old now. No one can figure out his breed. But after 5 years with him, we are convinced he is an alien. Definitely related to Stitch. Runs with scissors and plays with matches. Pretends to be tough but is actually a big baby. Tries to look innocent, but is usually plotting something.

Luna is an Eskimo dog mix, about 5 yrs old. Alternates between being the "pretty girl" and a tom-boy. Neville's partner in crime. They are best friends.

Juanita (aka, Senorita Juanita Chiquita Banana), teacup Chihuahua from a high-kill shelter, about 8 yrs old. Terrified of everything when I got her. Three years later, only terrified of most things. Hates my DH. Only 3.5 lbs, she becomes a Rottweiler when he walks in the room. Worships the ground I walk on. (Good dog!)

Buddy (aka, Budreau), Dachshund, one of the "occupational hazard" dogs. Was 37 lbs (morbidly obese) when he came to us. Down to a healthy 18 lbs in 4 months. Original plan was to find him a different home, but at 13 yrs, we decided he'd had enough upheaval in his life (owner died, next owners went into nursing home) and would stay with us. Eats poop. Ick.

Peabody, the reason I'm not allowed to go to the pet superstore unsupervised on adoption days. Theoretically a Miniature Pincher/Chihuahua mix, approximately 11 yrs old. Extremely polite. Juanita's best friend. Yes, her ears are that big.

The Gooch (aka Agnes Gooch), Shih Tzu, about 8 yrs old, the second of our "occupational hazard" dogs. Name comes from my favorite movie, "Auntie Mame." Has one good eye and three and a half legs. No idea what happened to the other eye/half leg. Was practically unrecognizable when brought in to the clinic. Now completely spoiled rotten (as it should be). Daddy's girl. Sleeps on DH's pillow every night.

Sparky, about 1.5 yrs old, Chihuahua (or mix), our foster dog. Kicked out of the house by relatives when his mother died. We took him in and got him registered with the local Humane Society. Total mama's boy. Still a puppy. Disembowels toys. Adores Luna.

They are all spoiled, as rescues should be. They have enough house manner to not be too obnoxious and that's fine with us. All are/were "special needs" (except maybe Luna) who were unlikely to be adopted (seniors, shy, "defective"), so we took them. They are fabulous dogs and we wouldn't trade them for the world! :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

Any chance we can join the fun?

Me, DW and DS-to-be (due date of October 13th) have just booked to go on the WBTA!

Needless to say, we're a little excited and would love to speak to some other guys that are going as well. :)
