I hope this group will be as great as the one in 2010. So lets have a great time on disboard together. And help eachother whit planning. And i think a site whit all info will be great, i liked a kind off site as Noel and John had made.

So let us think how we fell when we hear the horn off the Magic, that makes me happy.:banana:pixiedust:

And welcome to all new Cruisers

Are there any other spanish-speakers here?

I (obviously) am not a native speaker, but I have a degree in it and lived in Madrid almost a year. If anyone wants to practice/learn a few phrases/learn Spain spanish slang let me know. Bonus if you can help teach me Catalán. :D

Hi Con :wave2:

This morning I found some DCL Body Butter I had forgotten about when clearing in my bedroom cupboards and when I put it on it made me happy. Simple things :goodvibes:goodvibes I smell like I am on the Magic ... if only :cloud9:

Oh Floortje is so sweet. What is the translation of her name x x

It is a diminutive of Flora I think.

This is our wonderful Walter Elias Disney - AKA Walter. We got him through the rescue shelter last August. He was found wandering the streets and when he arrived there, his left eye was so badly lacerated that they removed it. His right eye has a cataract, and he is quite deaf to most sounds, but all this makes us love him more!! They estimated by his teeth that he must be about 7 yrs old. Your cats could walk right in front of him and he would probably turn the other way. He appears to be a Llasa Apso, according to our vet.

Welcome Debbie to our cruise thread. We are so happy that you will plan to join us. Caroline

He is cute. You did a good thing to give him a good home.

Hope it's not too late to join in here? I'm Debbie and I'm from Ireland. I recently took the plunge and booked my first Disney Cruise for October (5 night Caribbean on the magic) and after all the excitement and planning for this cruise I have decided to book onto the WBTA cruise when we are on board the magic in October. So hope you don't mind me jumping on board a bit prematurely lol x

:welcome:
You are never to late to join. It is more then a year before we sail. Lots of things to chat about and lots of things to organize.
We got in our first cruise ever and on Disboard a few months before sailing and we enjoyed it and were very welcome. Some even joined a couple of weeks before sailing then.
If you are on Facebook, we also have a group there

http://goo.gl/WKRnm This is the album for my pet pics :)

annie.jpg

Annie the kitty - you can't appreciate her size until you notice the size of the ornaments and the tree size in another picture.

gilmore2.jpg

The whole family, including my swedish son. Gilmore is the beagle mutt by my DD and DH. He was such a good boy.

gilmore4.jpg

The boy in the picture is now 13, but I just love this picture of them. They were best friends in the whole world.

nina.jpg

This is my Nina-bean. Her fur is short in this photo. The breed's fur, if you let it grow out, naturally dreadlocks. Her full name is La Menina de Canela y Azúcar - which means the Handmaid Cinnamon and Sugar. We got her first and one of my favorite paintings is Las Meninas.

nina2.jpg

Fur longer here, we usually though do not cord them. We instead shear them 2x/year

puppies.jpg

Babies curled up together

pupsxmas.jpg

Declan, Ciarrai, Nina and Snoopy last x-mas. Now you can see how small that tree is and how small it makes the cat.

snoops.jpg

Snoopers looking cute. Her full name is La Menina de Galletas y Crema. It translates to the handmaid Cookies and Cream.

Your pets are adorable. Gotta love the weird names breeders give their puppies. lol

Lol, no I picked out those names. Nina is Brown and white, so cinnamon and sugar seemed appropriate :-) and when we got Snoopy, I decided to stick with a theme. Nina is essentially a rescue from an inexperienced breeder. She has required extensive ongoing training to deal with her personality/breeding/socialization issues.

Snoopy is closer to a peer model of how to be a normal puppy for the breed. Gilmore was a rescue who was around 5-6 years old when we got him. He helped too because he was an awesome dog.

Here is my dog Dixie. She is an almost 6 year old Golden Retriever. she is definitely a princess, and my little human wanna be baby:goodvibes

What a gorgeous dog ... we have had two golden retrievers and they have had such lovely temperaments ... maybe thats why dealing with naughty Maisey is such a challenge !!

Hi Cristi!!

Was just searching on the web for the Paris airport. And just read that they have suspended luggage storage due to anti-terrorism. I do not know if that is still current, but if it is, it's too bad. Your idea of leaving luggage their was a GREAT one:(

Hi. I think the difference is that it is not run by the airport itself anymore; there is a company that offers the service. I used the service there April of last year and it was operational. Not sure if things have changed since then. It is called Baggage du Monde. The link is that name all together and then add the .com. I haven't posted enough messages yet, for the system to let me post it as a URL. From what I can see, it looks like it is still operational.

While not inexpensive, it worked out great as I only needed to keep it there for a couple of days. I did the same thing at Heathrow the year before and it worked great!

As Kayrn has stated, I am not shall we say a "light" packer. I also hate hauling stuff all over the place. Part of the reason I LOVE cruises. Get to visit lots of places, but only have to unpack and re-pack once!

So I also have a rescue - an Alaskan Malamute, he is almost 4 and finally settled down. He was shall we say a handful? Not sure how to post pics here yet - so I'll have to figure that out.

Thanks for that info! I, as well, am by no means a light packer. I want to take what I feel I need. Whether or not I use it all, oh well:) But having this does make it much easier to leave a bag behind. Glad to know that it is still operational.

Thanks for providing the site Holly:goodvibes It worked and I got the details needed. Super cheap to be able to leave luggage behind. Nice to be able to take what you need, then not worry about the rest:) Means we won't be carting it all over Paris:rotfl2:

Hi Rick and Patty. Billy will be so excited to see you guys again. There are a few from the EBPC already booked.
Jenn and Jim
I told Rick that Billy and his parents would be on the cruise. He thought it was funny that we are still describing parents by their children. Tell Jim that I am looking forward to participating in some tastings. This group is so active, not sure if I can keep up with all the chatter.

For Dog Lover...

Hearing dogs for deaf people...

Her name is Peggy, she is 3 years old and when we got her when she was 1 half years old and she was really bad behaviour...Now she turn to good girl and well behaved...We thought she was silly dog but she can be very clever!!

Just as an FYI - on http://disney.sapphiremind.com/ I just finished copying the roll-call into a spreadsheet. Feel free to update your information as desired (or ask me if you can't figure out how. :) )

I think now all the documents are copied over from the first page, if people could let me know if I am missing something, I would appreciate it. Any other feedback is good too. :D

You have to make an account - I wanted to keep some privacy possible for our planning :) (plus it prevents spambots etc from wreaking too much havoc)
