Time to introduce ourselves ... My husband Chris and I have been together for 12 years, and married for almost 5. While we do not have any children (and that probably won't change anymore, as I am turning 40 this year

), we have the honour of being allowed to care for the three most wonderful cats in the world (

, you can see them in my avatar picture).
We live in a little house in the suburbs of a big city in Northern Germany where I work with books, DH works with computers - and when we don't work, we love travelling, reading, cooking (well, that's more me than DH

), playing board games and meeting friends.
The love for Disney was brought into our family by me - or more specifically by my dad, who took me all the way across the ocean to WDW when I was 5, and then again when I was 8, and again at 11. I introduced DH to all things Disney when I convinced him to spend a few days at
Disneyland Paris in 2005 ... and since then not only have we been back there, but we have also spent two vacations at WDW (one of them our honeymoon

).
Disney Cruise Line is pretty much completely unknown in Germany as there is no advertising whatsoever for it, and I have even spoken to a couple of German travel agents who had never even heard of it. Therefore, when we tell people about our favourite cruise line we pretty much always get blank stares
So we discovered
DCL not in Germany, obviously, but while reading up on Disney when preparing for our honeymoon, and then again by talking to several people who had cruised DCL when we were at WDW.
Never having cruised before, we decided to give it a try, and here we go - with one Western Caribbean, one Mediterranean, one Canada/New England and one NYC Bahamian cruise (all on the Magic) under our belts, we are going on the Panama Canal Cruise this May and thus reaching Gold status just in time for next year's WBTA
While I know hardly any of you yet from prior cruises, I am really looking forward to getting to know you all here on the boards and then finally next year in person!
