DH asked if the rum tasting involves tasting straight rum or if there is something to mix with it. He loves his rum & Coke, but is not sure about straight rum.

If it was like the mojito tasting, there were different types of mojitos. So I'm assuming there will be different types of drinks with rum in them.

There will absolutely be many of us sitting together for dinner. Just let Susan (Geffric) know you are interested and that you have 2nd seating, and she'll make sure you're included in the group dining!

So I'm trying to convince my sister to come on this cruise.

She would be a single, in one cabin, so the cost is a pain for her. But she's always been interested in our TA's and DCL, so hopefully she will go for it - I know she'll LOVE it once she tries it.

I love vacationing with her & she could really use the relaxation of a longer voyage.

She's sleeping on it tonight...Cross your fingers for me that she goes!

If we do things the way they've been done before, everyone who wants to share a table will give their names and ressie info to our "dining coordinator" (Susan, aka Geffric) who will contact DCL so people who want to sit together will be able to.

There are a lot of people who have shared before and will want to sit together again, but there is also likely to be some rearranging, since some of our former tablemates will not be on the cruise.

Families with kids usually end up together, likewise couples, and those with similar interests. Some people don't drink and prefer to sit with other non-drinkers, while others of us enjoy an adult beverage (or four) with dinner, and then there are tables (like ours was in 2011) with a combination. We had some solo people on our cruise who fit right in and had a blast.

If you hang out here for a while, you'll get a sense of who you might like to sit with. We're a pretty friendly lot, so you'll find a group you like.
