Oof!! Maybe once capacity is increased and more OOS folks can come to fill up the hotels they'll resume normal operations? But yeah... feeling glad I picked a hotel within walking distance now. Thanks for the info.

We decided to cancel our three night DL trip planned for mid June. Maybe it was too close to our WDW trip that we took two weeks ago but between reading the comments here and watching the recent YouTube vlogs was enough to make us decide to cancel.

Our WDW trip was fun but the parks were packed. Not enough dining locations open versus the amount of guests in each park. There was also other things that took away from the overall trip. We did not want to experience that again so soon. I think we had expected DL to be a little less crowded but it seems that Disney is ramping up quicker out here than they did in Orlando. When I called to cancel it was obvious that the CM really wasn’t concerned. Why should they be? There are ten people waiting for the hotel and park reservations when someone cancels.

Hope that all who are planning to go have a great time. 😊

Did you reschedule for later in the year? I honestly don't blame you. Things are so in flux right now and if you just went to WDW and came away not dying to go back to a Disney park, it's probably best to postpone. I think by the late summer or fall, things at DL will have settled into a groove and it will be easier to decide whether you want to go. The experience is so uneven at this point, that even though we had a really fun time last weekend, our first visit was borderline terrible, and I'm still a bit hesitant about what our trip in July will look like, although we have already decided to make that long weekend "hotel heavy" and spend a lot of time at the resort (GCH) and only a few hours a day in the parks (we have 4 days, so no stress about doing it all).

We chose not to reschedule. Due to our cancellation date we did lose our deposit but we felt it was a small price if we were not going to enjoy ourself. We will see what the holidays look like as we do have tickets to use at some point. We love GCH but another time. 😊

Finally! Nice to see an update on this so those who have been patiently waiting and playing by the rules can now plan their trips fully and legitimately now 😊. Did a quick update to the "know before you go" post to add this info.

Not sure how I feel about the 120 days in advance, but I'm sure that works better for those that have to deal with flights.

I too am so happy for our out of state posters! They've been waiting a long time, patiently, for this news!

I'm also selfishly happy for some overall guidance and to see it matches what I was told on the phone call. Vaccinations recommended, but not required and masks required. I know some will be disappointed with the mask news, but since I still have one who's unvaccinated, I don't hate it. And although they do say it can change, I'm feeling 99% confident, I'll get through my trip before any changes (outside of OOS coming).

Yeah, we'll comply with whatever the mask mandate is, but was really hoping they'd match WDW and do no mask outside. Maybe it'll change soon.

Definitely good to have Longer booking window. I was glad my dates fell within 120 days so I could grab all 3 reservation days at once. I'm so excited, can't think about work anymore! Lol. Tomorrow evening dodger tix go on sale for rest of season, so even more to look forward to.

I would be totally fine with no masks outside. I was just really nervous about the indoor portion (again, on a totally selfish level).

Since they are requiring masks, I do hope they allow indoor queuing and loading ride vehicles more on the 15th. It would be nice to end our trip with the feeling of less crowds and maybe shorter lines? One can hope, anyway.
