DCL has given us a date and times (they want to split us into 2 groups): September 9 at 2pm and 4pm. Of course, if I don't get confirmation from more people we will only have one group.

I heard back from Alma from DCL about the mixology tastings. She gave me 3 tentative dates/times that she will confirm later with me. We had several people that never confirmed their interest in the mixology event so I had to delete their names. Alma did tell me we could have a few more people to sign up since we are having 3 tastings (she suggested no more than 30 people per tasting for a total of 90 people). So if you are interested in attending a mixology tasting, you can PM on disboards or PM me on facebook. I will need your name/names of those attending, your room number, and your DCL reservation number. I will add about 10-15 more people who are interested in attending this event. Getting close to our cruise time!!!!

Stateroom Tour



Ken (Disdel) is organising a Stateroom tour which will take place on the first Sea Day, time to be confirmed nearer the cruise.

DIS'ers volunteer their stateroom to be viewed during a walking tour, so you can get to see (hopefully) every Category of accommodations on the MAGIC. You can see "how the other half lives" and also see what would or wouldn't work for YOU on future cruises. "I'd be ok in that sideways 11", or "Hey, that Navigator's Verandah is pretty cool" etc...

Logistically, a group of 25-30 is ideal, and those volunteering their rooms for viewing also want to tour, so participants will be given a specific itinerary, and there will probably be more than one itinerary. Hope that all makes sense.

I'm already committed to organising events on the cruise, which has been quite time consuming, otherwise I would volunteer. I'm sure someone out there is happy to organise

Are hairdryers provided in the staterooms? Every little thing adds weight and takes up room. Don't want to have to bring it if I don't need it.

I understand that they have added a regular hair dryer in the room. Should be similar to the ones on the Fantasy/Dream that when plugged into the correct outlet works great. They also still have a hard-wired dryer in the bathrooms (left from before and not removed) but these are not very strong and do not work well on thick and/or long hair. They eventually work but take forever.

If diznefamily does not do the stateroom crawl, I can do it. Just let me know one way or the other.

In the past, I have participated in stateroom crawls as a poker run, where everyone collects a playing card from each stateroom. Best poker hand at the end wins a prize. It was fun to do, and may be interesting.
