The MAGIC is Back!!! - 6th Sept 2014 WBTA - Come & join the fun! - PART 2

Here's the info I gathered from 2010. We ended up with 12 people from various DIS families. Like I said earlier, it was a decent introduction to the city. :

This sounds awesome, and affordable. Looks to be just about double the HoHo bus, and private for just us. I sent an inquiry and will see my sister and niece this weekend to show them the info. Niece speaks pretty good Spanish as well, so she can call and get more info if need be.
Thanks so much for the link!

If anyone else is interested in joining in on a Thursday tour, let me know. We will be 5 adults and a 6yo (who will likely be playing games on his tablet the entire time!)

You are welcome! I hope it works out for you! Just remember that the prices were from 2010, so it may be more now. :)

O dear

When you go to the Disney cruise line website and look at the WBTA page for 2015 it talks about enjoying a relaxing 14 night cruise and all the wonderful ports you get to visit like st kitts and Tenerife....

Do you think someone ought to point out that in fact you do none of those things it looks like the ship just races back to Miami ....

What a shame... WBTA is my favourite....

Yeah, but look at the price! Interesting...

I don't know if I will actually go or not, but I just booked 2 cruises for December 2015 - the Magic 5 night and a Dream 4 night. They both end on December 18th, which is the day Star Wars comes out, which is why I booked them. I have yet to see a PremEar at sea, and I figured that Star Wars would be a good one to do! I prefer the itinerary on the Magic, and 5 nights is better, but we've never been on the Dream and it leaves out of PC, so I'm keeping my options open.

Anyone else book this morning? I was surprised how easy it was to do online.

Yeah, but look at the price! Interesting...

Dates are later than we would like but it would be ideal for us to get to Miami and have a few days in Key West. At the price it is a consideration.
Ports/at sea days don't make much difference to us, we cruise for the ship, food and activities, not the ports, just wish it was a week or 2 earlier.

Yay, finally! :yay:
Though in my time zone that is 6:00am, so I'll have to get up far too early for my liking on a Saturday :sad2:

So excited! I will stay up late Friday to book. :yay: Booking Palo and excursions will really make it all seem real !!!

Once I book if there are any silvers or younger out there who want to know excursion times, I'm happy to help :boat:

We were informed today by Disney that the Mojito tasting will no longer be available for the WBTA. Sorry to those who signed up.

I'm down to double digits before my vacation starts for WBTA.

:dance3: :dance3:

YAY!!!!

Although I wasn't signed up for the Mojito tasting, I'm so disappointed in DCL for removing so many private tastings. I hope the pattern doesn't continue for the other tastings we as a group want to partake in. :sad2:

In my experience, The last time so many private tastings were removed on a big cruise , Dcl offered a ton of public tastings that people just signed up for on board and sat together. There was a notable increase in the number of tastings offered on that cruise over other recent cruises.

I checked out Barcelona Day Tours and they got INCREDIBLY good reviews in Trip Advisor. My partner and I are planning to use them on 9/5 to take a 1/2 day tour to Montserrat leaving from the Hilton Diagonal Mar. Is anybody interested in doing something like that? The website indicates that for groups of 7 or less, it's 69 Euros per person.

We already made arrangements for them to pick us up at the airport and take us on a tour of Barcelona before dropping us at our hotel, since we get in way before check-in time!

They do get really great reviews and are nice to work with. We are having them pick us at the airport. Would have done the tour but for two people it was incredibly expensive.

I considered them for Montserrat, but it apparently is not hard to do by going to the train station and buying tickets - and MUCH cheaper. My friend and I plan to do this tour, just not sure what day yet. Either the Thursday or Friday.

Here is a guide to tickets:

Myself and room mates took the train before the 2011 WBTA. It was . . . interesting. Despite that, we will probably do it that way again. There's a substantial price difference.

BIG price difference. But why was it ..... interesting? Problems?

We used Barcelona Day Tours last June and they were great. I liked having a guide that was able to answer all of our questions and point out things we never would have noticed.
