The Magic cruises to Copenhagen, EB T/A, 5/15/15

I keep dreaming that I was late for various reasons, (still packing, couldn't get a taxi, subway broke down etc) and the MAGIC SAILED AWAY WITHOUT ME.:scared1::sad1:
A recurrent nightmare since I booked this cruise. Maybe I shouldn't go wandering when we dock in New York City (my home):sad2:

We are in NY too. Trying to figure out what to do when we dock in NY. At least if we forget anything we can have family meet us outside the ship and deliver it!!

I have been having "sailing away without me" dreams too. I am always doing something that never gets finished in time to get to the ship. The still packing one is the most prominent!!

We were away for a month and when we got home, dealing with the holidays and a major health issue for Bob. Ready now to get busy planning this cruise.

For those considering the Postcard/Recipe Exchange, here is some info: Participants leave recipes, written on a postcard from their home town, at the cabin of participants. It is inexpensive, isn't a luggage space and weight hog, takes limited effort, requires little technology expertise, and it's a great way to exchange a souvenir creating memories of our group's cruise. The idea is to add a regional recipe to the postcards, but this is supposed to be fun, not stressful, so there really aren't any rules. In past postcard/recipe exchanges I have received a variety of card combinations; all have been appreciated. Some things I have received have been:
A postcard only, some with, some without, messages
A postcard with a regional or family favorite recipe on the back
A postcard and a regional favorite treat: tea bag, penny candy, mini bottle of hot sauce
A postcard with a recipe clipped to it
A recipe card noting who sent it and from where but no postcard
Any combination would be great.

If you would like to participate, let me know and I'll organize a list. include your cabin number, name, DISboard name if you have one and home town Example: 7636, Valerie, Valbob89, San Francisco, California.

For each cruise I create, not draw, images to use on magnets and tee-shirts, of the ports we will be visiting. I use photos of the port and insert Disney characters whose images I find on the web. Here is my Cape Canaveral image:

When is the last day we can sign up? I'm not sure yet.

I think April 10 gives everyone enough time. If someone needs other considerations just let me know. We will likely have 2 groups, so they can close at different times!

Thanks! Can you keep us informed of how many have signed up? That is part of my waiting, I need to see how much space will be needed.

So far these are the sign ups for the Candy Exchange. Things will not be "official" until I hear from everyone regarding their cabin numbers. I imagine 2 groups of 6-11 in each.

Besides your cabin number, please tell if there are any allergies.

There could be some who do not get their cabin numbers until quite close to the cruise. I will be updating the lists for the groups via the Private Messages here.

Came home from the Wonder cruise out of Miami to 8 degrees F in Ohio...brrr!

Bobbi:)

Greetings and hello to those of you I recall sailing with before. We booked this cruise just yesterday so I have lots and lots of catching up to do, including planning for shore excursions before the 15th......Guess I had better edit the siggie....

I guess all of the excursions are up. The Golden Circle tour is listed for the Iceland excursions but listed as 8-8.5 hours so don't know if our cruise will have it available or just the one that overnights in Rejkavik :( I guess we'll see next week :)

Can't recall if I've posted to this thread or not. We're (wife Susan and I ) are getting more excited about this cruise now that New Year's has come and gone. :wave2:

Not sure if this has been posted or not but will we have fireworks on the ship? A pirate night or not ?!??

Once 1-15 comes how can we find out excursions avaliable for our cruise? I cant book till 2-14 so will there be a final list somewhere?

Is there any interest in meeting to pin trade? I've done it on our last EBTA, as well as last year on the WBPC and it was fun!

Bobbi

Hey all,
question for folks with more experience than I have with sailing from Port Canaveral: if you fly in, which airport do you use? Orlando? Melbourne? I'll fly in the night before so I think I'd rather be close to the port rather than have to come over from Orlando. Also, any recommended hotels?
Any opinions on this are welcome.
thanks!
