The magic carpets of Aladdin

If you mean the one at the Magic Kingdom it is very similar to the Dumbo ride. Carpet goes up and down and tilts forward and backwards. You control the movement. Front seat has a knob which controls up and down and backseat controls the tilting.

My kids enjoyed it (ages 6 and 11). But it is all a matter of personal opinion.

If you have kids, they may enjoy it - or if you haven't rode on it, you may want to just to say you have, but it is not a must do attraction.

This is a basic Dumbo ride to me - you go round and round. You do have a stick in which you can make the carpet go up or down, but other than that, it is not that much fun.

DH and I will probably skip it this trip - we just rode it to ride it the last trip.

Yes, it's similar to Dumbo but a family of 4 can ride together which is nice and you can possibly get wet from the camels shooting water out of their mouths.

Our DD's love this ride and we don't skip 'yet'.

You know how dumbo is real important to some people (like me) for sentimental reasons? Magic Carpets isn't like that. It is totally missable. If you can ride it easily with no wait, go for it. If there is a line or you don't get to it - no big deal.

Now, dumbo...that's different.;)

We did it but will probably skip in the future. I echo all the comments already said but wanted to add, the wait time is long and when we went not very accurate. It said 40 minutes and was 1hour 10 min.

I like the Magic Carpets, but I tend not to ride it every trip. I thought they were a lot of fun with the tilting carpets and dodging the spitting camels, but it's no must-see. Try it if you have time and the lines are short.

My DS3 loved it!! We rode over and over and over again (just one more time ;) ) when we were there in December. The crowds were light during MVMCP and we were able to continuiously ride without exiting. Even DS8 enjoyed. We'll be riding again in October.

I agree that it depends on where you are coming from. It is tame but short and if it was just me and DH I'd probably skip it. But we went last October with my 2 DS's who were 21 mos and 3 1/2 and that is one of the few rides they still talk about to this day! That, and Dumbo, of course! We are going again this October with Nana too and they tell her all the time that they will take her on Aladdin so the camels can spit water in her hair and she can be cool in the sun!

Personally I loved the ride, and as of now it's my favorite rotating ride. If you're short on time, I'd say skip it. It's not that good.
