Hey all! Boys these late night chats get very interesting......! Thanks for all the descriptions of Easter services. Our day felt so Un-Easterly as Sky was up the night before which led to one Sunrise visit to the ER. Sickest my princess has ever been...

LaLaDeMyLALALALAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Missed you too punkin'. We've been on different clocks on this thread! Thanks for the sweetness over at my 'place'. Sky is much better this am-the wonders of modern medicine! I cried at the ER because she was in so much pain. Child pain= Parental Psychic Trauma!!!!! Did you put up a new installment?

Chappie- We have 7 kitties and it takes time for them to adjust. They bond better with dogs, go figure. They eventually learn how to stay out of each other's way. But sometimes their personalities really provoke one another. Heirarchy stuff. Our males all get along pretty well, the females-well that's where all the spats happen. I am a feminist so that is tough for me to say.....

Tink-nice pix! I love redheads. You look like someone famoous. But i cannot think who that it.....

Sher and Melons- love your IPOD selections! Add take me down by guns and roses to mine. My workout and diet has begun today!

My kids are off this week, so not much dissing for me. But I know I'll have to check in to see how everyone is. And people, uh Maelstrom.....

Morning Maelstromers!

We had a really nice day yesterday! We did our family get together on Saturday. So yesterday after lunch we went to Outback, got gas($2.86-regular) and came home to change. Then we took the boys out to the park. It's a lovely park, all oaks and pines, most of the playground is shaded. NO ONE else was there! It was awesome! So nice to let the kids play and not have to be scrambling around keeping track of 4 boys. We had a really nice day. Last night DH beat me 2x at chinese checkers...I should have never given him secrets to winning...now I can't beat him. Best of all, even though I wasn't really strict with my diet...I did have a couple of sweet tarts...I still lost another pound!  Which encouraged me to exercise! I did 30 minutes with Denise Austin this morning, which for some reason I yawned my way through. Why does exercising make me yawn??? Jeremiah and I did math and phonics this morning and I caught up from the weekend chatter. Now I guess I should get dressed and ready to go. My sister wants me to come "hang out" (lay in the sun by/in the pool :teeth: :sunny: ). I need a tan before her wedding...my black dress isn't going to look so nice against pale skin.

So I'm off. Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning All you Marmite Munching Maelstromers !!!

maxiesmom..Glad to hear your Uncle is a bit better. What a scare!

sheridac...Is DD driving again since her accident? It's always hard to get back behind the wheel after something like that.

MarkyMark.... Nice pics.

kpk89/KimYour Easter service sounds amazing and very touching.

If this is how they dress at the MK, can you imagine the eye full you'll get at TL? Ick! (Snatched this pic from Jamal's TR- Hi Jamal!! :wave2: )

On a side note..The ZZUB family is returning to Disney in September....Everything is now right with the World... Another ZZUBIE report...can't wait.

Paying homage to Grammy2.. I am drinking Hazelnut Creme coffee in my Winnie the Pooh ceramic mug.... Where are ya Grammy? How was your Easter?

Horsegirl --- I hope miss Sky is feeling better. What a rotten thing to happen on a holiday. Poor bunny. Hope you're doing ok, too!

MommyPoppeeeenz --- I think the yawning is a plea for oxygen. Either that or you find Denise Austin less than scintillating.

Gem/Gemmie/Gemalicious... :grouphug: Poor little Sky, I'm glad she is feeling better today. Isn't it the most helpless feeling in the world, when your child is sick and you can't do anything to make it better. It's wretched!

So it's a Gem and DJ solo trip? How nice. It's always good to get away with your hunny once and a while. DH and I are going the beginning of Oct. We've only been away ONCE in the 19 years we've been married and that was last year, and it was only for one night!

Isn't it great, when you sneak a treat and you still lose weight.  Ssshhhhh, You got one past the diet Gods :rotfl:

BTW, I loved all your pics with your different hairdo's and haircolor. You are beautiful . I really loved the pic when your hair is dark and you are holding your newborn son, Kaleb, I think it was. Soooo cute. What color/cut do you have now, you just had your sister do it recently, right?

Also, be careful not to burn...you could always do the Tan In a Can thing.

Thanks, she was so brave....Hey Lil' Pooh! How'd lil' abby like her easter?

No! It is all 5 of us! We are getting a heck of a great deal!

We don't typically leave our kids either. All we do is talk about 'em and miss em. One night in 5 years for us. You will definitely have us beat!

I am currently Gem, but have begun the Gemilicious plan to be in top form for our 2 trips. I have serious motivation.....

Pooh - she is, drat it. Driving the loaner from the mechanic, I might add. Now I'm spending my time worrying about her behind the wheel of a car someone else owns!

Horsegirl - I kwym - we are already talking about how we'll miss our kids on our trip and they are grown! I'm sure we'll spend lots of quality time talking about them, but lots of quality time in other ways too! :rolleyes1

Sorry your little girl was sick - hope she's feeling better now.

BTW a big :thumbsup2 to all those of you starting a diet/exercise plan. Having worked on losing 50 lbs last year, I know first-hand how hard that is. Stick with it though, it pays off. Although, it seems to be a life-long commitment though, dang it!

Wow, that is a great deal for the 5 of you, for a full week!! It is soooo hard to leave them. I know that we'll miss them when we go in October. I'm feeling a little bit quesy about it. I don't think we'll go to MK at all. I'd be crying the whole time!

Abby and DD Erin went to an egg hunt, it was adoreable. We went to Grandma's house for the day... it was nice and the weather was beautiful.

BTW, After reading in your TR, why you go to Disney as a family, I wrote my reasons down too, only, I did it on paper. I don't know if I have the guts to write it here. It's very emotional, but after reading yours and Momofmnm, it gave me reason to ponder as to why I LOVE Disney sooooo much. I actually couldn't figure out why a grown woman is madly in love with a castle and a Mouse. Thanks, for being gutsy enough and sharing that. Maybe if I get a bit gutsy too, I'll share mine.

Checking in!

Maxiesmom - YIKES about your Uncle, but glad to hear that he seems to be doing better. Do they know the source?

PPG - yeah! another trip

HorsegirlGemalicious - sorry about Sky, what a rotten thing to have happen on a holiday. Hope she gets lots of extras for her trauma . . .Is your trip to Hawaii still on, or did the airline pull something awful so you can't go (and the lightbulb finally went on where the other $1600 comes from . . . .) [and Maelstrom . . .IS A FASTPASS!]

Everyone else - wonderful descriptions of Easter services. I, once again, was there for the singing, but missed the actual message. Really, one of these days I am just going to let the boy scream in the Nursery so that I can actual get to stay in the room and listen to the sermon. . .

I might have to join on the diet bandwagon - my weight is headed in the wrong direction. I'll do that, right after I finish my pepperoni pizza!

Nothing to report from Georgia . . .Here's an Easter Pic of my Princess - this was actually taken at the department cookout last weekend. Also one of Daddy and the boy (he wouldn't sit with the Easter Bunny.)

Maelstrom.......

Also checking in to say "hey"

Had a busy Easter weekend, plus DS has been sick since Friday. Fever, up and down so I'm a little tired. He seems OK today. Poor child always seems to get sick during holidays.....and he loves to stay home from school. He'll be better tomorrow when school is back in!

Kids are bugging me to do something with them........so gotta go.

I'll check in later.

......is a fastpass!

Good morning everyone.

Horsegirl, sorry to hear your little one was sick. I hope she is all better now.

Zzub is going back in Setember? And I have to hear it second hand? Where is that cad he has not visited with us in ages. Where did he post that Sept trip info???

I got this from Wikipedia . org:

The word Maundy, originally from Middle English and used only in this context, derives from Old French mandé from Latin mandatum novum do vobis, "a new commandment I give unto you [love one another as I have loved you]" (John 13:34), words spoken by Jesus to the Apostles after washing their feet in preparation for The Last Supper...

Please note that anyone can post pretty much anything to wikipedia and I am not a particulary religious person (or good speller, for that matter). So, if the references don't add up, please forgive me.

Howdy folks! Just thought I'd chime in on the weight thing. Don't remember if I shared this before or not. But 6 years ago I weighed 280 pounds. I've always been a kinda big boy. Used to lift weights and such a long time ago but am too lazy for that now. Anyway, I was a campus minister in Savannah for 3 years and ate junk with the college students all the time. YOu know, wing eating contests, pizza at everything. So when we moved from there I weighed 280.

When my gall bladder decided it didn't like the view (10 days after Wesley was born - I couldn't let Rhonda have ALL the attention) the ER doctor described me to the surgeon as a "28 year old obese, white male." I overheard the conversation. I knew I was, but had never heard anyone call me obese before. I hated it. After that I lost 60 pounds. In the last 4 years I have (had) gained back 25 of the original 60.

Since Ash Wednesday, I've been eating the stuff I should again and am down 11 pounds - and am very excited to be losing weight. My goal is to get under 200. We'll see!

Just thought I'd share!

And La La - I have read most of your trip report. I just hadn't read that update. I haven't gone to the Trip Report Board too much since everyone moved over here. I don't have time to do both!

But I will say I am scared of the Jasmine posing woman. Sad part is that I probably went to high school with her. (gotta love drunk south georgia rednecks!)

Blessings everyone!

Haley...ZZUB posted an addendum on his TR.

GA Your little boy is such a cutie!

Kronk !!! Sorry to hear your son was sick. Hope he feels better for school tomorrow.

It makes sense to me, given that the Last Supper was on Thursday. Thanks for the reference. :thumbsup2 I figured if I threw a line out there, someone would bite and either have the answer or do the research for me. Sheesh, I'm now too lazy to Google -- I've reached rock bottom.

Hi everyone,

I haven't had a chance to read through all the posts I've missed but will try to do so tonight.

Anyways....

My trip to WDW is now only 26 days away! I have not made an PSs or ADRs or whatever the heck they call those dining reservations now. I need to at least make one so my mom can have a nice meal on Mother's Day.

We will be going to Epcot that day for the F&G show. Any ideas?????

Top three right now are:

Alfredo's in Italy
Rose & Crown in England
Le Cellier in Canada (been before)

What would you pick? One of those or a different one? It could even be out of the park as we have APs.

Thanks everyone!
