Oh lil P Pooh- I'm on thin ice! We are in the process of booking not one, but 2 weeks in Hawaii! Leaving Nov 9. This is going to set us back quite a bit. So I'd have to maybe learn some extra special tips form polymelondoodaday girl! Even that probably wouldn't do it! But I'll mull it over. He has told me to go nurture myself at a spa, and I've never taken him up on it....

Keep talking about your plans, and maybe you all will convince me.....

HAWAII?? AND YOU WANT TIPS FROM ME??
the best I can get is a week at the cheap end of the polynesian..

The first class could cover how to use your melons to your advantage !

It took me forever to figure this out.

You plug your Ipod into your pc, then you go to your library and click on the song(s) you want to put on your Ipod. If you are moving more than one song at a time ..hold down the Ctrl button.. once they are highlighted you drag them over to where it says your Ipod on the left side of the page.

I am by No means computer savvy but once my kid showed me how to do it, I was able to put loads of songs on.. even CD's that I uploaded to the library.

Okay, catch me up. What'd I miss? Judging from the page count since I left, I'd say a heck of a lot!

I did read that my Girl Polymelonmom will remain a Polymelonmom and not a PORMelonmom. I hope my Epicot EMH bus incident didn't scare you away. ;)
It did, didn't it? I can just see it. You read it and then made DH read it, didn't you? And THAT was your hook, wasn't it? :lmao: See, I did that just for you. I knew how bad you wanted to go back to the Poly so I put that in there so you could use it as your hook. Well, you know, that and the melons. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That's your one two punch, isn't it? ;)

We had a really great time at Destin. We all hated to come back. The beach was beautiful, the weather was gorgeous, and the kids were so cute and excited. We got to see a school of dolphins swimming right offshore one day. It was really neat. We lived at the beach and the pool. I took some really pretty pics and will try to post some later on.

Anybody wanna volunteer to come do my laundry? :rolleyes1

MAELSTROM

I have had a very scary afternoon. I got a call at my office at 4pm from my baby (she's 18). She was in a car accident. Crying hysterically. I could barely understand her. Thank God she was not injured, but her car is a disaster. Unfortunately, she rear-ended a car that was stopped in the road. The other driver did not have her break lights or turn signal on, and with the way the sun was setting my daughter couldn't tell the other driver was stationary until it was too late. Also, unfortunately, the other driver was making some back pain noises. Hopefully it is nothing serious for her, and as a result for us. She did drive herself off though, so I'm going to take that as a good sign. Anyway, I could use a Dis hug.

Thanks for listening.

I know you must have been terrified. Thankfully she is OK, cars are replacable, our children are not.

Here's hoping for all concerned that the other driver wasn't injured either.

We are all here for you both

Sheirdac! Oh no! You poor thing, and your poor lil girl. How traumatizing for everyone. Things happen in a split second. Thankfully this ended with no significant physical injuries. Of course the car thing is a massive bummer.
Hope you feel a little less shaken.

Brandt79, where you been?

Pongo, Mel, where are you? Luv pooh will you ever come back?

Last edited by GeorgiaAristocat : Today at 07:48 AM. Reason: Is TGM really, really worth it? It's not even a busy season . . .Do I need to spend that extra $18? That is a couple of cappuccino's isn't it?

Ummm, sorry to break it to you, but it IS a busy season. First week of October was pretty busy last year, like don't even think about the EMH park, busy .

The Friday MNSSHP is going to be OVERRUN with locals who can't go the night before because the kids have school. It is the friday of a long weekend so it is extreamlly tempting for locals. Plus Disney almost always puts out really good FL resident rates for Columbus day weekend. Last year the Value resorts were booked solid starting late Sept, I think even the Mods were booked solid. I needed a room and couldn't get one.

We followed MNSSHP up with a late breakfast at Cape May last year. Even with staying up late that night my kids were up and ready to go the next morning. Surprised me. I think they must pump oxygen into the rooms like the do in Vegas.

So what I am saying here is you really do need Tour Guide Mike. He is awesome. Make a few cappaccino's at home. Just boil some milk in your microwave. Be careful it will boil over and make a mess if you don't watch it. Not as good as the real thing, but does well in a pinch and saves me $4. Plus TGM is a cutie, his Avitar is very easy on the eyes.

Wow, that is so scary... I can relate.. my oldest DD will be 18 on June 1st..she will be commuting back and forth to college (35-40 minutes each way) and I am terrified for her. We've been going out practice driving but it's still so scary.

I'm glad that your DD is okay, Grammy's right, Cars are replaceable. I hope the other driver is alright too.
