I just called to make my ADR's and got almost everything I wanted, except LTT, because they closed at 5 that day(why?????) and I didn't want a 4 something. So I changed to CM which they said we had to be seated at different tables....as well as at Teppanyaki, which isn't cool. So I need to replan those two...where can we go and sit together? They are there Friday the 15th and Sat. the 16th. Friday is MK day and Sat. is Ep. day. I'm thinking of changing Teppanyaki and Alfredos, us doing Teppanyaki by ourselves and doing Alfredos with them...it would have been fun, but oh well. What's the point of going somewhere together if you aren't even together. :confused3

There are halloween parties at MK on the 16th and 17th, so I can't imagine why LTT is closing early on the 15th. You may want to call back and talk to another CM.

No. I'm going in Sept. No Party. MK is open till 9, so who knows why LTT is closing at 5? Weird. I just don't know what to do...I really wanted to take my mom to a character meal, but if we aren't all sitting together its pointless.

Try Crystal Palace. I believe it's still Winnie Pooh and Friends for dinner. It's a buffet and it's a big restaurant so they may be able to accomodate a large group.

Hey GeorgiaAristocat - how's things in my fav state?

Love the pic of you and your family........my fav part is the Georgia brown grass. :lmao:

I thought that was the coolest when we lived there. Turns brown, then poof, one weekend and it's green!

Oh the little things! ;) :teeth:

Things are just peachy down here. ( :lmao: I slay myself!)

Actually, that is brown ARIZONA grass - but they have the same phenomenon! Our georgia grass turned green last weekend. That spray paint sure got expensive, though, after we had to go back to the store for the fifth can!

If you don't mind leaving the parks we found that it was very easy to get reservations at the monorail resort resturants and Wilderness Lodge, especially for lunch. I would assume it is pretty much the same at the Epcot resorts. We also really liked the Yachtsmans Steakhouse which was only a short walk from Epcot.

Oh.......that's how it's done :lmao:

No wonder our neighbours (Cdn spelling!) always looked at us and shook their heads mumbling, "Crazy Canadians" :sad2: Green paint, that's the ticket! :thumbsup2

We were there a few weeks ago, when the Bradford Pears were in full bloom. I love Bradford Pears! We don't have those up here.

Hey Mel - if you want super nice wait staff who smile and dote on you with attention, and bring you the tastiest food with a smile, and would never laugh at guests behind their back, go try Les Chefs de France. That's the best restaurant at Epcot!

Blessings!
Mark

Sweet Tea, now that is is a southern drink. I get some strange looks when I drink it up here. I miss a lot of southern foods: fried okra, pickled okra, boiled p-nuts, red velvet cake, cornbread, grits, biscuits n gravy,I am sure there is more. That doens't include the restaurants I wish we had here: Krystal, Sonnys BBQ, Chik Fil A (OMG I loves me some of that), I am sure there are a ton more of these too.

My mom got me this great Christmas ornament this year:

It was an ornament of The Big Chicken.

I think Tangerine Cafe meets any need at any moment. However, I will say that it might not be the most romantic of restaurants. But then again, who wouldn't want to sit outside while Mo'rockin blasts music at about 6000 decibels and the belly dancer shakes her money maker (s)?

Blessings!

Now I don't understand your post. lol. What do you mean, "you know who I am?" Do I have a reputation? :guilty:

The reason I asked about sharing the credits with my family is because I saw a thread on the dining plan board and people were posting that your card says "x Adults, x child" so if you have 2 adults and 3 child and order say 5 adult meals and 1 child meals and pay OOP for 2 child meals, they might tell you no since your card says 2 adults 3 child. I don't want my parents to plan their trip around eating our credits and then no be allowed to.

Oh, gosh! I feel awful!! No, no, not a reputation at all; I just looked back at who had written the question (b/c I replied via a couple posters later) and remembered you as your signature shows your wonderful children! Please tell me I didn't offend you!

They will be allowed to use your credits; we had no problem with that last time. Yes, there is much debate on this, I think, over on one of the dining boards.

We LOVED Le Cellier and O'Hana!

Oh heavens, I cried when I found out there were no Chik-Fil-As around here when we first moved (from TN to Chicago). I got on the website to find out where the closest one was (1 hour+) and I'm ashamed to say it, but our family has driven to it out of desperation for some good old chicken, waffle fries and lemonade!

Alternately, I miss the Canadian food I grew up with. I have a checklist, and every time I go back to visit my family, I run through the checklist to make sure I've eaten at Swiss Chalet, Harvey's (poutine :cloud9: ) and our local Chinese food joint. The daily trek to Tim Horton's is a given, and I know where the last one is to stop at and get a couple dozen before crossing (in both Windsor AND Sarnia)!

Thanks for all these comments about the DW restaurants. I have 2 more restuarants to choose (who knew it would be so hard?!) and need to do it in the next few days if I have any hope to get an ADR for 6. So far we have: HDDR, CRT, LTT, LeCellier, Teppanyaki (sp?), Mama Melrose (for Fantasmic), WCC, GF Cafe, Artist Point (a deux, with the kiddos at the Cub's Den! :lovestruc ), and 'Ohana's (gotta get the Stitch fix). We do NOT do buffets with our kids (between the four of them needing supervision every time they went to get food, DH and I wouldn't get a chance to eat ourselves), so unfortunately some places will have to wait a few more years (like Boma :sad1: ). Boy, what a hardship trying to decide where to eat!

We where leaving that day so we really didn't have much time to do anything else but that and walk around Epcot a little. It was nice. The food was ok. It was not outside but in the World showplace. It was decorated very nice and they had some of the characters there as well. We are going to be there this Mother's day again but I decided that we aren't going to do it again. To me it just really wasn't worth it. Again we will be leaving that day but we have a later flight this time and I would rather just get to one of the parks for the last time! Here is a pic of us with the Beast from it!

..and you having company?...worst yet "relatives".....oh,boy! that's
means you'll be giving us trp report [pre/disney]...now what's this?....
mellyman..isthat like the post man?..you know..the ceral guy? i like
breakfast foods. [p.s you do realize that i "run" my sentences
together so that 2nd paragraph had nothing to do with you]... :hippie:
did you happened to see that retirement [investment] commcerial ?--
iron butterfly..that's just not right! back..to ..disney..you mean your
husband isn't worry...that your're in "charge" of all the resverations?

wear ahat and all? and is this punishment..for calvin & tommy..i'll :rolleyes1
if they're going to be nice to their sister? oh,boy! i can't wait to hear how
this goes down...fun,fun,fun.
minnie girl a bragging on her kid great accomplishments! ain't that why
we had kids? i think it it's more malestormher...[git it/parentsversion] than
talking about who's hot vs snot! by the way, where's the ladies list?
what minnie [actions] should shows alot of parents..is the difference a
parent can make! kuddos to you for not accepting the limitations
others were trying to place on your child...p.s. ..frequently children
having to overcome labeling do great things in life..you should be proud!
preacher guy..why no preaching? actually, it is evident that you're
very serious toward your calling. faith...has given more blessing than i
ever deserve..epsecially my family. faith..isn't that what we beleive in?
to deny that would to deny one true being...with a little more faith i
am on my way [hopefully to disney this fall]. your report, besides having
alot of fun also had some really nice messages..especially the importance
of both parents being involved. something i know bout..as i took care
of my boys as my wife finished her degree. i'll never forget the time my
wife was doing a class project in chicago [no not mel-a-storming] and i went in for my son first evulation [firstgrade] ...he had a teacher who thought
he didn't have parents who cared [ it was an uppity schoo lsystem/and with
us just finishing our first house/wife in college -he wasn't dressed in designer
clothes]...her look was disbelief...i tore into her like ..she 'll never forget..
and the next day i had "me a conference with the principle". let's say that
attitude was changed very quickly! families need their faith..to overcome...
life challenges...mel girl is a good example.

..are they in season? if so i better git them on my wife's grocery lists.

Mark,

Don't get my DH started on Chefs. We went there twice last time. The first time he asked for a sugar free dessert. The waiter didn't understand him at all and finally just told him "impossible"! He spent the rest of the trip saying " I hate France. Impossible"

He forgets though, that the second time we went, we asked for our desserts to go. The matre di (that's spelled so wrong) came to our table and told us that they couldn't give us our desserts to go as they had no to go containers. I thought, uh-oh another "impossible" but instead she said she was going to run out to the bakery and get something for us. She came back with 2 pastrie boxes filled with all sorts of yummies. Of course, DH is diabetic so only I could eat them. Oh well, more for me!

..sorry, had to answer the door..post man or somebody?
[truth is..i don't see too good and hit the wrong key.
what was i adding? to this ,favorite of all threads combine?
melons shopping..instead of having my wife do this shopping..
i'll think i will volunteer to help her out. maybe she'll teach
me? did anybody see the lady c/o bout her husband
car hobby? and no women came forward to add theirs?
i have a wife..shoes..clothers [90% of our closets belong
to her..and we have big closets!]...purses...jewelry all
over the place...then the bathroom. however, i wouldn't
trade her for a $$$$ [that's disney dollars],just because
 . funny thing is ..sometimes she calls me "hormonal"
why?..my doctors say my blood work better than 20y/0.
and more xitchin than women? i amnot sure what she talking
bout but i think she projecting. "one of these days...i figure
her out..until then i plan on keep buying chocolate bars.
:clown: around...now if i can only find..what the ticket?
