I sat down last night to make a quick itinerary for our Sept. trip(14-24) so I could get our ADR's made. So here is what I've come up with, but before I call I have some questions.

9/14 - Dinner at Le Cellier (how do you pronounce it? I don't want to sound like an idiot on the phone)

9/15 - Dinner at LTT(for LTT and Teppanyaki my parents are going to be there, can we share our credits with them so they don't have to pay?)

9/16 - Dinner at Teppanyaki(how do you pronounce????)

9/18 - Breakfast at Kona Cafe'

9/19 - This day I thought maybe we would swing into the GF and eat at the GFC is it good? Or should we just eat at Tonys Town Square?

9/20 - Lunch at San Angel Inn

9/21 - Dinner at Ohanas

9/23 - Dinner at L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante(again how in the heck do you pronounce that????)

9/24 - Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare

What do you think? Anything you'd do differently. These are all places we have never tried, except Kona Cafe' and LTT. Thanks!!

Le Cellier: Le Sell-EE-A
However, it is our experience that the Disney Dining people don't always pronounce it right. They are likely to refer to it as "Le Sell-EE-ER".

Alfredo's... they will know what you are talking about it!!

Teh-pen-yah-kee

Your choices sound great, we've eaten at most of these places. 1900 Park Fare is our very favorite of ALL the character meals!!

Not sure about how the sharing credits thing will work, maybe someone else can help you there!

Wow, Rhonda, your post is EXACTLY what I was planning to write as I was reading GA's post!!! I find it funny how so many people say Le Sell-ee-er. But I'm a language buff, so maybe I'm the dork, not them.

I think sharing credits is okay, but I haven't used them as of yet, so I can't be sure.

Everything sounds great and delicious!!

We did 1900 this trip and loved it, too...even with boys (DH and I liked the food...)

You can let your parents have your credits and pay out-of-pocket for the kids at LTT. It's a fixed-price meal so paying OOP for the kids and putting the adults on your TS credits will save you a few bucks.
Oooohh, OR you could pay OOP a couple of kids' meals along the way for the kids (do you have kids:)???? Posting fast here...) and then you will have tweo extra left for this fixed price meal.

OK, this may make NO sense. Translate and repost or PM me and I can get you all fixed up.

Jamal

PS--Yum.

Yes, now I see you do have kids and I know who you are... sorry! This will work.

MommyP - You can share credits - lots of people have done it. There is a whole separate sub-board under the Restaurant board about the Dining plan, or ask some of us (I love talking about dining. Again, I'm going to be big as a cow if I keep eating on the dining plan at Disney.)

All your choices sound great, too! There are several of those that the boys will REALLY enjoy!

Pongoperdigirl – I am so glad you loved the Pop. This would be our first stay at a value and I am a little bit concerned. Resort snob I know.

AshClan – Thank you for the info on the Beach Club. My DS has wanted to stay there ever since he was the Ship slide a couple years ago. I was a little worried about the size of the pool area as I do like to keep an eye on him. We also love the WL as the vacationers and staff always seems so friendly which slightly concerns me about the BC. We do not mind doing split stays as we did this last years WL/AKL and it worked great.

However, since this trip is for him (gotta brag for a second this child has ADD and has had some major troubles in school over the years is excelling in middle school. He finally has teachers that are willing to work with him not to break him and it is working wonders. He has been on the A honor roll all year and just received notice that he is on the national honors list for middle school after being nominated by his teachers) okay brag over it just so amazing after years and years of tears and frustration.

Hope everyone is doing great!!!!

Maelstrom!!!!!!!!

Alfredo's and 1900 for Breakfast are must stops for us on every trip. Love them both.

Does everyone think October 5 (Thursday) will be A LOT better for MNSSHP than October 6 (Friday)? The 6th is our last night, and I just thought it would be a wonderful way to end the trip, plus we have to change resorts for that last night, so not going to a park in the morning would work better for us on Friday than Thursday. What does everyone think?

We are going to MNSSHP on October 5, which is our last spend-the-night night. We (I) decided to save AK for our last day, with a late dinner at BOMA. Of course, we only have an hour's drive to get home!

Minnie -
Congratulations to your son! That is great news and definitely deserves some kind of award - a trip to Disney all about him? Perfect. :thumbsup2

That's so great about your son. My youngest has had lots of challenges over the years (Aspergers) and I was terrified of Middle School. He, too, has done very well! Isn't it great to see the progress they can make as they get older? I say, if he wants the BC pool, go for it! It is big, but I have found that my kids generally pick a spot (usually around the slide) and stick to it, so I never had too much trouble keeping an eye on them. As long as the ground rules are set....

I would love to see you go BC/WL and to hear about how it goes! That would be a really nice combo, I think.

What's happening?

Nice Viking pictures back a few pages!

Soooooooooooo... I think your ADRs look fantastic MommyP. You've included several of our favourites: Teppanyaki, 'Ohanas, LTT, Alfredo's and, of course, you can't MISS Le Cellier. That's a MUST DO. I believe it's ZZUB's favourite restaurant too. Probably also Buzzton's. Strangely enough. In his TR he couldn't sing its praises enough. Gotta love everything Canadian. Except the weather. And our Prime Minister. The OHIP system. Yada.

Our weather is getting much nicer and I'll have to start dragging myself away from this computer and actually getting some sun again. I feel ghostly. Heh, heh.

Oh yeah, MommyP... I would do the GF Cafe for lunch before I would do Tony's. It's only a short boat ride to the GF and Mellyman and I had breakfast there last trip and loved it. Nice place and good food. Mostly. Don't order the breakfast potatoes. Ick.

Ok... now I have a question for someone. Anyone. We're in WDW on Mother's Day and I still don't have a great idea for lunch and/or dinner. I have somethings booked, just in case, but I want to do something fun and special. It's up to me to organize this... even though it's Mother's Day... but that's to be expected because Mellyman is not the Disney Planner here. My question is: anyone know anything about the Brunch at Epcot. It's outside, I think. And I've seen what is on AllEarsnet but has anyone actually DONE IT? 'Cause it's pretty pricey. Especially for the kids. Beth especially. Worth it or not? Plus... it's probably too late to even consider getting a ADR for it. I'm just looking for something... uhhh, specialish... you know? Ideas???? Blab blab blabbity blab blab.

Hey to everyone!!!! Maelstrom! Melstorm Lil' Grumpy. And all that.

Mel.

Morning Maelstromers!

I want a fastpass to the chat, but can't swing the times - baths and bedtimes, ya know. Now if you wanted to chat at @ 10:30 . . . ;)

The chat went until about 10:30 last night, probably would have continued later if there had been a couple of people that were in later time zones.

Now I don't understand your post. lol. What do you mean, "you know who I am?" Do I have a reputation? :guilty:

The reason I asked about sharing the credits with my family is because I saw a thread on the dining plan board and people were posting that your card says "x Adults, x child" so if you have 2 adults and 3 child and order say 5 adult meals and 1 child meals and pay OOP for 2 child meals, they might tell you no since your card says 2 adults 3 child. I don't want my parents to plan their trip around eating our credits and then no be allowed to.

Mel,

If you are going to be at Epcot the Coral Reef might be an option, the food is decent, if a little over priced, and the kids would probably love watching the fish and divers while eating.

9/14 - Dinner at Le Cellier (how do you pronounce it? I don't want to sound like an idiot on the phone)This one already answered by MrsMarkyMark

9/15 - Dinner at LTT(for LTT and Teppanyaki my parents are going to be there, can we share our credits with them so they don't have to pay?)Yes, you should be able to. Just tell your server how many credits to deduct

9/16 - Dinner at Teppanyaki(how do you pronounce????)
Again, MrsMarkyMark beat me to this one

9/18 - Breakfast at Kona Cafe' I love breakfast at Kona!

9/19 - This day I thought maybe we would swing into the GF and eat at the GFC is it good? Or should we just eat at Tonys Town Square? GFC is a hidden gem - great service and food

9/20 - Lunch at San Angel Inn

9/21 - Dinner at Ohanas

9/23 - Dinner at L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante(again how in the heck do you pronounce that????) I just say Alfredo's

9/24 - Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare

By the way, I just went out last night and bought my second pair of crocs. I love the sage and sea blue, but went conservative with navy.

You know... I've been SO tempted to check it out. Even had it in my ADRs originally last time. But changed it at the last minute. It sounds like the atmosphere would be amazing. However... I read ALOT of bad reviews which scared me off of it a little. And it seemed pretty expensive. Too. Have you had good food there????

Although I have never done it, I have to say, I would think the brunch would be pretty special. We have done the the Easter thing before when we were there and Disney has such a way with making special events so much more special.

We'll be going to Coral Reef for the first time for dinner - any recomendations?
