Yeah... they locked my thread. Right in the middle of my Goin' to the Hospital Story... so sad. But... I was SO FAR OFF the Disney topic that I believe it was fair and just.

Good luck at the Wal-Mart. But you know, if you don't find it, the Niagara Falls boarder is only an hour from here! My sister and I go all the time - we could meet up, get the scar cream, buy some (or a quiver of) Crocs while we are there. Speaking of bribing - Carters is having a 50% off sale and I have a 20% off coupon - but your kids are probably too old for Carters... I know - I could PM you my family website (which my DH won't let me post on here) so you can see that I am perfectly nice with no ax murderer tendencies at all! Seriously, glad you are going to continue the saga - really loved it!

Mel, you got me over here.....I just HAVE to hear the rest of the crackhead story!! Had lots of experience with that stuff myself. My youngest got stitches - in his head - TWICE before the age of 2!! BTW, don't fret too much about the scar. It's early yet. They always look pretty scary for the first month or two. I've heard great things about Mederma, too.

And, just to add my two cents, I, too, am SHOCKED that they closed Vettechick's thread before she finished. Didn't seem that thread was all that "off topic" to me....just slow with the installments, and lots of "encouragement" in between!! I hope Ally doesn't get discouraged!

I hate the Joe Friday, just the facts, trip reports. I guess that is what they want over there.

You know that post to the trip reports board that said PLEASE READ in the title and basicly was telling us to stop the chit chat... Mr. Silly posted under it that he was shocked, as this post was not a trip report, and so it was breaking its own rules.

That got pulled so fast it made my head spin.

I had sent both Ally and Mel PM's asking them to PLEASE, PLEASE, PPPPLLLLLEEEEAAAAASSSEEEE finish their stories. And yes they are stories, not reports, as they are both GREAT story tellers.

Ally replied and stated that she would be finishing her report, she just didn't know where. Maybe in her own blog. Said she'd let us know where she was going to post it. So, when I hear something from her, I send out an all points red alert. We have to know how the Grubbin' and Boozin' went.

And Mel, keep the stories coming.

I've got to say, I don't remember the rules being so stringent in the past...and posts being removed left and right like they are; I used to always compare other message boards to this one (with regard to censorship, etc) and always thought this one was right on the mark, not too much, not too little, but I'm surprised by what's been going on with it lately. I guess it's b/c there are so many people in and out of here?

I guess better proof reading would have occured if someone wasn't pushing me to rush and finish billing here at work. It's only a couple 100thou worth of bills, what's the big deal. I'll get it released after the important stuff, surfing the Dis, is done. It's not my fault she is taking the day off tomorrow and wants everything done a day earlier. I guess, if I get all of Fridays work done today, I can surf Dis more, looking for more from MEL.

I don't post much over here, but I have very much enjoyed reading all of the wonderful trip reports. I read them for laughs. I read them because they give some insight into the lives of the authors. I like feeling a connection with the DIS'ers who most graciously take time out of their busy lives to entertain us and let us experience Disney through their eyes. I thank all of you trip report writers and beg of you......don't stop!

Since I shared it with Hannibal Lector I guess I can share it with you guys, too. He WAS pretty hot though. For a killer. I think.

Here we go then ~

TACOS IN A BAG:

Brown one lb. of ground beef or ground chicken, pork whatever.
Mix it with a pkg of Taco Seasoning... following the directions on the pkg.

Grate cheese, shred lettuce, dice tomatoes, salsa, sour cream etc. Get out all your favourite Taco toppings.

Buy a bunch of little bags of Fritos, regular flavour, like snack-size ones.

Open your bag. Crunch up the Frito chips, add a scoop or two of meat and all the toppings you'd like. Eat the deal with a spoon right out of the bag. Yummy. The kids and DH love this meal. And I love the fact that there are less dishes to do. It's great for camping and birthday parties. Always a big hit.

Thought it might go over well in the BIG HOUSE, too. Hee, hee, hee.

Hey all! Mel, I can't believe they locked your thread!! I don't care if you were finished; now it's going to be booted down the ranks and we'll never see it again. Thank goodness it's listed in the "My Favorite's" thread! Still, I might just have to put your TR link in my siggie. As a tribute!

I'm soooooo disappointed they decided to lock mine. I felt I did right by the people who don't care for the chitter-chatter by labeling the installments, but apparently it wasn't enough. But I WILL continue my report. I wrote some last night and might get to do some tonight as well (I have a meeting at 3 and one at 6:30, though ). Fortunately, I have three planning periods tomorrow, so I'll get to write then, too!
