MELLLHH Still has not told me what to order in that ONE PLACE with cheese soup...

...

Hey Melo...wait, what are we calling you again now?

Here's my pick for Le Cellier - the filet with Mushroom truffle rissoto. I'm not sure if I spelled that right, but all I could do after eating that was say, "Dang!"

That was soooo good. I tried the steak with BBQ sauce this last time. It was good, but I regretted not getting the filet. It just made me say, "hmmm," but not "Dang!"

Go with the filet - it rocks the house!

Blessings!

Cat, thanks, it was a good day. ask me monday night. that is the day with the big, mean, evil sharky sharks who are gonna try to scald me and make me crack! i may end up shipped to a dog food processing plant afterwards!

*whisper* is there a reason that LeCellier has become the restaurant which must not be named ala Harry Potter? :rotfl: I'm SO excited about ADR for that place...the desserts alone look worth the million pounds I'm bound to gain from the Free Dining!!! :woohoo: I've heard the cheese soup and the pretzel bread is to DIE for!!!

Oh and i'm having a special cake made for Jason for our dinner at Artist Point...To Mr. from Mrs... :rotfl2: He'll LOVE IT!!! For $45 he better love it! There is a chocolate Mickey and Minnie on the cake! I've heard they are fabulous and we are both big cake fans!!

in case anybody is terribly interested we're also grubbing at

The Yachtsman Steakhouse...did I spell that right?
Kona Cafe
The California Grill
The Grand Floridian Cafe
Crystal Palace -early admit to MK AND Pooh and the gang...can life get much better?!
Oh and Tony's cuz there wasn't anywhere else at the time
Mama Melrose (didn't do fantasmic package cuz they limit the menu and we can't have that!

ermm...I think that's it! :cool1:

In case anybody is interested...

Katy, ditch whatever you can and do V&A's experience of a lifetime!!!

Now I've been to the ever so passionate foodie board...and I've read reviews about V&A's...they make things in hollowed out eggs...with chicken livers soaked in MILK!!!! Of course these were reviews from Mr.Disney and The K-Man...very discerning palates those two...eating at the Chef's table and such(please don't laugh if I am misspelling things...I'm sauced AND I've been injured and am medicated for said injury...)

Is all the food so fancy schmancy? My Jason is a meat and taters boy...and my favorite outfit consists of ripped jeans, one of jason's white undershirts and birkenstocks...surely they wouldn't let us in the door!! (well we wouldn't WEAR our down home clothes but I imagine the people at V&A's would be trained to spot folks like us immediately!!;))

no really...I thought about V&A's but I think I'm too late at this point to get an ADR for late August. Sounds like an interesting if not extremely expensive evening! I mean they use like 20 $$$$$$$$$$$ when describing it! I'm going to bet that V&A's is NOT on the Free Dining plan huh? :rotfl:

there are a few of us who have visited the strom thread drunk

I am not naming names or cheap wines...but its happened before LLK

Seems like everything you read on here is like 10 times funnier than it is sober...

and you think you are freaking Seinfeld of the Strom just by gettin' blitzed...

"WASTING AWAY AGAIN IN MARAGARITAVILLE!!

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

No Katy, it's not on the dining plan. but I is an experience in itself, you wont regret it. Get Pongo to help you with shoes if you need it, its not super fancy, but you will want to dress nicely. They drape a napkin over you anytme you get up (my 80+ yr old mother got a HUGE kick out of that). But at any rate, the food is absolutely terrific. 5 star rating, you know how rare that is? Well, i can't quote numbers, but extremely rare.
Do it for your HOneymoon!!!!!
Ditch the GF cafe (although I love anything at the Grand) and anything else not so highly rated

Katy, I think I would take Marita's advise. She is a girl with inside info of the world.

Hey Mark, sorry that PongoJen and I got you into trouble with our marathon cheese chat last month.

Rhonda, I am really sorry that we let Mark stay up so late chatting. If it makes you feel better, mostly it was PongoJen and I talking about stuff and every so often Mark would chime in. Until the conversation turned to cheese. Let me just say, your man sure does love his cheese.

PaSLEA POOH bEAR!!! Good to see ya...my little boy puppy dog keeps being very inappropriate with my leg...we got him fixed for cripe's sake, why does he keep doing that?! But how CUTE is he?!

V&A's...y'know I DON'T know how rare a five star rating is...I'm a redneck at heart...I'm whooping and hollering for Chili's!!! :cool1: But we might could have to check it out!! Do they require heels? I may injure myself...I do have some Jimmy Choo flats...would those work?! yeah...I'm cool like that... :smokin:

Perdigirl!!! I thought dinner was off?! Did ya whoop it up anyhow?!

Jason made me a fudge cake sundae with whip cream and ice cream and hot fudge...cuz he doesn't want me to fit into my teensy wedding dress!! Oh well, I have 92 days to low carb it...get all teensy for the wedding...and I DO have that pesky eating disorder!!! :rotfl:

what did ya grub on?

We went to a local place called Rudy's
It's open seasonally and it's super popular. Nothing fancy.

I am back from dinner too...

We went to Applebees. I had salmon. Kids had kid food. DH had blackened chicken salad...with honey mustard dressing...I was good and left the garlic bread uneaten. (but snuck in a few fries!!)....and ate all my broccoli. The conversation quickly turned to Disney. We told dd6 we were taking another kid who would ride Splash Mt. Now, normally we would all laugh and joke at each others expense...but dd6 went to bed late last night (mommy was chatting!! and forgot to turn off Dumbo). So she cried. A LOT. And then I felt bad so I ordered her a sundae with extra bar cherries on top. Because nothin' cures sadness like bribery. YEAH I teach. So then we all felt bad and held hands around the table. DH and I stated to the kids that this family would be built out of

LOVE
KINDNESS
and GENEROSITY
with the love of God...

THEN we asked them "What will this family be built with?"

DD9 says:

"love....and attractiveness. cause I am cute."

Hey Yall

Drive by posting here. Been out all day and haven't read any of the crazy stuff that I'm sure went on today while I was gone.

I told the kids that I would take them to the park today. It was DS's last day of school (1/2 day) and I let him stay home. I'm off on Fridays so I thought I'd take them somewhere and just spend the day having fun together, just the three of us. I don't know what possessed me to offer up Chuck E Cheese as an alternative to the park, but I did. They lost their minds, jumping around, yelling "Chuck E Cheese, Chuck E Cheese " They were chanting in the van all the way to the place.

I have high expectations because I think I have outwitted the masses. The kids are still all in school. They can't possibly be at Chuck E Cheese because they're still in school. It will be good. It won't be crowded. We will escape Chuck E Cheese heck today. I have high expectations again.

We pull up to find not one, not two, but THREE big yellow school busses in the parking lot. Apparently, one MIDDLE SCHOOL and an elementary school decided that today would be the perfect day for a field trip to Chuck E Cheese. On the very last day of school. Why?

Anyway, I had already told them we were going and I didn't back out. I'm a tough Mom. Girl power and all. So we busted up in there to capacity crowds. The manager was so freaked out at all the color coordinated shirts invading his work space that he managed to trip over one of his employees and hit his head on the ground REALLY HARD. Standing two feet away from me. We all helped him up after he sat motionless on the floor for a few minutes, stunned. I don't know if he was more stunned by the fall or by all the little peeps in green shirts fighting over whose turn it was to ride the fake roller coaster. He ended up being okay and we used up our 25 little tokens, ate our crummy pizza and got the heck out of Dodge.

The kids wanted more tokens and I turned into the Meanest Mother in the World like Kim, my 89 sista.

"Absolutely not. And if you ask me again, I will never, ever bring you here again. In fact, just look at me and I will never, ever bring you here again. Come on. Do it. Please do it. "

Sadly they didn't bite.

So then we left and went to Bed Bath and Beyond and now I'm all better.
